@@matildaonvideo brands like romand are really popular here in korea for their matte tints. We call any liquid type lip products tints here so dont be surprised about the pigmentation! Peripera also make lovely tints. The ink velvet tints are really popular but theyre reaallyy pigmented so if you wanted something with a little less pigment i would say the airy ink velvet tints are good. Plus the new shades of the ink mood latte tints are great too!

Mac's Powder Kiss Liquid Lipcolour! It's honestly one of my go-tos because the texture is whipped, soft, and so easy to blur. You can do a light wash and blur or build it up for more pigment.
The blurred lip look is one I've associated with Korean beauty for years now--they've got so many brands doing different versions of these formulae. I'm quite fond of the rom&nd lip stuff, their staying power is no joke and they don't feel *too* drying on my dry, dry mouth. Congrats on 5 years!! your channel has always been my "comfort videos" :') If you're willing to do another asian beauty feature, there are sooo many velvet/soft matte/sheer matte/blurring products that I think you'll like! 3CE blurring liquid lip (I see people mention their velvet lip tints all the time but this one is superior IMO), Bbia last velvet tint, Bbia last powder lipstick, Into You shero lip mud, Romand blur fudge tint, Peripera ink the velvet, Clio melting sheer matte balm, etc. There's also even lighter-weight, watery blurring lip products, like the 3CE Blur water tints. It would be cool to see you check them out!
I love Romand's zero velvet in Nerd Pink! It's an actual berry colour, no brown, so easy to wear with low key makeup, or none. Peripera's ink mood matte is so comfortable! My favourite is 06.

When I saw the title of the video, "Blotted Lipstick." I was like, "That is so Matilda" and I knew I'm gonna love the shades. Ah! I love the Sunnies Lip Dip! Girl Crush is very popular, a warm, lively pink. I would like to recommend Sunnies' face Lip Dip in the shade "Posh", it's a nice everyday nude pinky brown color (is like the mutted, deeper version of Girl Crush) , and the undertone is in between a neutral to warm.

Based on your recommendation i tried and loved the chanel powder lipstick , all the youtube influencers were stuck in the 'all the pigment all the time' era and did not endorse it. But i loved it , for that sheer effortless look. Also i discovered and loved bobbi brown crushed ( i finished my regal tube, so nice , a great raspberry red) and the latest i tried the givenchy ( love it both in rouge graine and also in their warm red l'interdit color). I have been tempted to try the rare beauty one but i think the peripera ink velvet one in sellout red is a pretty spot on dupe in both formula and color. This has to be one of my newer favourite categories along with tinted balmy sheer lips, i know it because i started to finish some tubes, which means i pick them often from my drawer

I was so mesmerised by this video that I bought the Givenchy sheer lipstick 16 and I never looked back! Amazing formula,doesn't transfer with kisses :D
I was gifted a Colourpop Blotted Lip earlier this year, and the texture is very much a classic liquid lipstick texture where it "dries down". It does have less pigment than a traditional LL, but that can make it a teensy bit streaky for my liking! But I absolutely love the Glossier Gen G's, they're my most-used lip product of all time. I have to buy a refill of Cake yearly 😅The secret I've found with them is the top of a new tube is the dryest/waxiest part that you need to pair with lip balm, but once you get a centimetre down it goes on much more evenly. Kind of a pain that is isn't consistently good from beginning to end, but this is the same with a lot of other lipsticks I own. They always seem to be the most effective when they're about to run out! 😵💫

You don’t seem to have a lot of affordable make up but try Revlon Ultra High Definition Matte Lip Mousse Hyper Matte in Spice if you have a chance. The description of your favourite products reminded me of it. Not long lasting, but easy to apply and comfortable.

So I’ve been having a really rough time lately and one of the best ways to calm down I’ve found is just meticulously cleaning my house. But i do that I’m left alone with my thoughts and I don’t want that. So I put on your videos kind of like a podcast and your soothing voice combines with the cleaning always gets me to calm down
I'm such a big fan of the blotted lip look. Kaleidos has beautiful super pigmented liquid lip shades that soooort of give the feel of the rare beauty ones but last longer. I like the colourpop liquid lips even tho they're drying. I used the sailor moon set a lot
There’s a Korean brand called Missha which has some of the best blotted lippies. None of these big brands stand even close in terms of how long it lasts and how well it sits on the lips.

Have you tried the Romand Blur Fudge Tints? I remember you trying their glasting water tint with minimal success a few years back, but this newer formula sounds right at home for this video. So excited for Glossier to come to sephora so I can stock up on their concealer while restocking other items like mascara...although I may cave and put in an order before then to pick up more cloud tints and try the generation g formula.
Ooh no I haven't, thanks for the tip Cait! 👍 I liked their Juicy Lasting Tint when I bought it for my Black Honey video last year, but haven't tried any others from Romand. I found a few other tints I tested a bit tacky a few years ago but I want to dive back into that area at some stage! x

This is also my preferred way to wear matte lips! My favourite formula is the Airy Ink Velvet's from the K-beauty brand Peripera. It might be one of my favourite lipstick formulas of all time.
I love your lip rec videos because we seem to love such similar formulas! Crushed Lip has long been one of my faves, too, and I remember being so excited when you found and loved it as much as I do! Did you ever check out Nars' Soft Matte Tinted Balm? The shades were too browny for me (I gravitate towards mauves and berries), but the formula was lovely! Might be more your color range than mine.

I have been influenced by you Matilda first it was the red carpet red lipstick and now the Bobbi brown crushed lip in blackberry 😂😂 I love sheer lipstick in summer bc I barely wear makeup as it is much less in summer and it suits the mood I’m going to use it as blush too bc I prefer my blush to match my lipstick (also bc you said it has a slight citrus scent I sniffed it a bit in the middle of the department store 😂😂😂
All these lip gems look so fantastic, I really like the Bobbi Brown lippie so moisturising apparently, the chanel gloss is a little like Clarins instant light natural lip perfector. I also love the Clarins lip oils - just beautiful on the lips 😊
This is exactly what Korean beauty lip tints excel at! Korean glossy tints like Rom&nd's Juicy Lasting Tint are great, but there's also a great selection of matte lip tints which tend to have this exact same texture that you describe. I was absolutely floored when I tried them: they're incredibly velvety, you're supposed to smudge the edges for the soft look kbeauty favours (so the formula is already designed with that in mind), and yet they don't dry down and barely feel like you've applied anything to the lips! I would highly, highly recommend you try them. The one I can vouch for is Rom&nd's Zero Velvet Tint in Deepsoul, but I think CLIO, 3CE, Memebox and Peripera also make really solid options.

The Kaleidos Soft Cloud lip clays are exactly this!!! The deeper shades can be tricky to apply but the more nude/red tones are beautiful 😍

I was gifted a Colourpop Blotted Lip earlier this year, and the texture is very much a classic liquid lipstick texture where it "dries down". It does have less pigment than a traditional LL, but that can make it a teensy bit streaky for my liking!
But I absolutely love the Glossier Gen G's, they're my most-used lip product of all time. I have to buy a refill of Cake yearly 😅The secret I've found with them is the top of a new tube is the dryest/waxiest part that you need to pair with lip balm, but once you get a centimetre down it goes on much more evenly. Kind of a pain that is isn't consistently good from beginning to end, but this is the same with a lot of other lipsticks I own. They always seem to be the most effective when they're about to run out! 😵💫

You don’t seem to have a lot of affordable make up but try Revlon Ultra High Definition Matte Lip Mousse Hyper Matte in Spice if you have a chance. The description of your favourite products reminded me of it. Not long lasting, but easy to apply and comfortable.

So I’ve been having a really rough time lately and one of the best ways to calm down I’ve found is just meticulously cleaning my house. I'm such a big fan of the blotted lip look. Kaleidos has beautiful super pigmented liquid lip shades that soooort of give the feel of the rare beauty ones but last longer. I like the colourpop liquid lips even tho they're drying. I used the sailor moon set a lot

My fave type of formula!!! 😍 3CE’s velvet lip tints have the same effect too! Using the shade ‘Daffodil’ since 2019 bc its rosy shade is so good 🥹💓

There’s a Korean brand called Missha which has some of the best blotted lippies. None of these big brands stand even close in terms of how long it lasts and how well it sits on the lips.

Have you tried the Romand Blur Fudge Tints? I remember you trying their glasting water tint with minimal success a few years back, but this newer formula sounds right at home for this video. So excited for Glossier to come to sephora so I can stock up on their concealer while restocking other items like mascara...although I may cave and put in an order before then to pick up more cloud tints and try the generation g formula.

@@matildaonvideo My bad! It's actually called Rosy Dream and it's from the Moragh Myerscough collection years ago! It's actually a beautiful pink color similar to Gen G in Like but more toned down!
This is also my preferred way to wear matte lips! My favourite formula is the Airy Ink Velvet's from the K-beauty brand Peripera. It might be one of my favourite lipstick formulas of all time.

Did you ever check out Nars' Soft Matte Tinted Balm? The shades were too browny for me (I gravitate towards mauves and berries), but the formula was lovely! Might be more your color range than mine.

I have been influenced by you Matilda first it was the red carpet red lipstick and now the Bobbi brown crushed lip in blackberry 😂😂 I love sheer lipstick in summer bc I barely wear makeup as it is much less in summer and it suits the mood I’m going to use it as blush too bc I prefer my blush to match my lipstick (also bc you said it has a slight citrus scent I sniffed it a bit in the middle of the department store 😂😂😂

All these lip gems look so fantastic, I really like the Bobbi Brown lippie so moisturising apparently, the chanel gloss is a little like Clarins instant light natural lip perfector. I also love the Clarins lip oils - just beautiful on the lips 😊
For a less expensive option, try Maybelline Made for Me colors. I like Red for Me worn over original formula Benetint.
My favourite is I'm meme pep balm. Pigmented, can use on the cheeks also, and it stains my lips. If it was in a bullet it would be perfect

This is exactly what Korean beauty lip tints excel at!
Korean glossy tints like Rom&nd's Juicy Lasting Tint are great, but there's also a great selection of matte lip tints which tend to have this exact same texture that you describe. I was absolutely floored when I tried them: they're incredibly velvety, you're supposed to smudge the edges for the soft look kbeauty favours (so the formula is already designed with that in mind), and yet they don't dry down and barely feel like you've applied anything to the lips!
I would highly, highly recommend you try them. The one I can vouch for is Rom&nd's Zero Velvet Tint in Deepsoul, but I think CLIO, 3CE, Memebox and Peripera also make really solid options.
You should add the mac powder kiss lipstick they’re all like a blotted powder lipstick
