I cringed through the Matt Lauer interview. I looked it up and it was a Dateline from early 2006. He asks the most unethical and imo misogynistic questions! Matt damn sure never asked a man anything like those questions! My only bright thought was oh yeah did Matt Lauer got a big dose of karma a few years ago when he was exposed and fired.

America and her family have really tortured, drained and failed her in every way they possibly could have.
I pray for her from time to time (when she pops up in the news and whatnot) and am hoping someday her parents are exposed for the narcissistic thieves they are, and she is allowed to live and manage her own damn life.

Britney was really a modern feminist icon before the modern feminist movement started.
In all her interviews, she overwhelmingly responds that she supports whatever a girl wants to do- all that matters is that they're happy. That's especially brave for her to say about plastic surgery and female sexual autonomy, which was so controversial at the time. And she had such eloquence responding, even though she was just a teen/young adult at the time!

Britney was an extraordinarily talented child/young woman, but that ain't her answering. It's evident she'd had a good deal of media training and coaching. Of course, it's going to be more palatable to have the teen girl claim she wanted to dress "that way" and package it as empowerment...when really Britney was being exploited and branded in a very obvious fashion. If it seems unbelievable that her "alcoholic abusive" father is her conservator (as others have commented) it may be because her mother is even worse..

Britney is in a conservatorship, which are intended for elderly people with dementia, since 2008. She has not controlled her own medical decisions, been able to drive her car without permission, get married or even pregnant, or vote in that time. She has been legally classified as unable to make decisions. Conservatorship of a person is intended for when someone is no longer able to feed, clothe or bathe themselves.
Yet, just months after being put under the arrangement, her handlers had her releasing an album and embarking on a world tour, The Circus Starring Britney Spears. She has been on multiple world-wide tours, performed a residency in Vegas for over 4 years (worth mentioning there was never a single cancelled show except when she injured her ankle dancing on stage), acted as judge on X factor, and has recorded & produced 4 musical albums while conserved.
Meanwhile, she can legally be denied a phone, internet access, to make calls or emails, or have any visitors without supervision and permission. The conservators can ensure she is watched by 24/7 security she doesn’t choose, and even her children can be only allowed to visit her so long as the conservators are happy with her behaviour.
She has protested this since the beginning when she was held on a 5150 and her father, who Britney says has always been an abusive alcoholic, filed for a temporary conservatorship on the basis that she has dementia. Yes, the same woman touring the world and generating millions of dollars of income every year is legally denied her most basic autonomy because a judge signed off on her father’s claim she has dementia.
The arrangement has since been made permanent & shows no signs of stopping. Judge Brenda Penny has upheld the arrangement while court appointed attorney Samuel Ingham and scummy business manager Lou Taylor have profited from the income generated. Most of the entities involved are under investigation for other abuses of powers and people.
Late 2018, Britney was coming off her 4+ year Vegas residency, looking and performing at an absolute peak. She allegedly started refusing some medications, and so her dad pulled support from her projects and forced her into a mental facility for 3 months against her wishes.
Impersonating Britney, a handler released a statement on her Instagram saying she herself chose to take some time off to help care for her father who was ill. Thats when a paralegal working with a law office overseeing Britney’s conservatorship leaked the truth, that she was forced into a mental health centre. The handlers had to pivot and tell the press her “cocktail of medications becoming ineffective”, they even went as far as to claim she was “near death”, so they had no choice but to commit her against her will. Instagram posts showing her in tip-top shape were deleted, presumably because they couldn’t push their false narriative of her being near death with her feed showing her to be an extraordinarily able-bodied performer with a sound mind.
Britney spoke out in court after being released, though the court has denied her basic human rights and any due process since this charade began long ago. Britney spoke about being forced medications, forced into the facility, and having her children used as pawns, she begged the judge for her freedoms to be reinstated. All her requests were denied.
Ever since Britney spoke up, she seems to have mentally declined at an alarming rate. She has not been seen with her children in many months. Britney now rocks back and forth while speaking in her Instagram videos, her pupils are noticeably dilated, and she behaves nothing like the woman that owned the world before she was put under these controls.
Let’s remember, she is not in charge of her own medical decisions. She does not control her own Instagram page. She has been gaslight, isolated, drugged, stripped of her wealth and children, for over twelve years.
The conservatorship is currently under investigation. Her doctor passed away days before he was due to give his report on her medical care. There have been no other findings presented to the courts from the investigation yet.
Britney is on hiatus from work as a protest against the arrangement. So, the handlers dug out all her old costumes and props, stuck them in an abandoned K-mart, and are charging $60 a head for people to walk through it. The transparent gimmick to milk Britney’s legacy for everything it’s worth with none of the proceeds going to Britney herself, is called Britney The Zone, located in Las Vegas.
Spread the word, public pressure is the only thing that can possibly help unwind this. Copy and paste this comment under every Britney video you watch.
      Is Britney Ok?! No!!!

Now that I’m older, I understand why Britney went off the rails. Aside from the fact that the media keeps hounding her, they were also crucifying her for “not being a good role model.” I used to hate her as a kid and asked myself, “Why would she wear it like that? Why would she say that?” I really hate myself whenever I remember asking those questions. But! Her answer is right. She’s not a role model. She’s an entertainer! That’s her job. She needed to change. She can’t be forever bubble gum pop Britney. She was becoming a woman, and of course her taste in clothes, style and food will change. And it’s not her responsibility to teach those kids what’s right and wrong. She’s not their parent, tough I know but that’s the truth.

I’ve already watched this whole series ( It is AMAZING, the best one I’ve seen! You guys killed it! 🥰👏) but I’m rewatching it & every time I see all these interviews & clips I’m absolutely sickened at the way this poor woman was/is treated. I just can’t even believe that this was ever seen as okay. It’s like she wasn’t/isn’t a human being to any of these people. It’s heart breaking to see what she went through back then with the paparazzi & media & knowing she’s still being hurt by those closest to her. This whole situation is insane.

I complain a lot about cancel culture and things being way too politically correct in 2021. Then I see something like this and I realize, well maybe we were actually quite horrible and it’s for the best that we stop being so creepy and weird 😂 what was happening back then??? Asking a barely legal teen about her tits? And whether or not she screwed her boyfriend yet? Like- WHAT?!?!?
And I just about can’t watch the part with her children. What they did to that poor young mother is unforgivable. I just had my first child and I can tell you without a doubt that I would be dead if I under that kind of scrutiny.

Britney and MJ the most brutally exploited people in history in music industry. There are to many sad similarities betwen these two sad souls. This is so sad to watch #FreeBritney

Marilyn Monroe as well. I know you meant in the music industry but I do see similarities between what Britney is going through and what has been reported Marilyn went through as another sexualize celeb.

Add Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe. Britney actually had a Garland-esque voice, molded to a Monroe style.

Damn this really made me cry 😢 especially the attacking her motherhood. Nothing that happened was out of the ordinary but it was made like she needed CPS intervention smh. All she wanted was a family 🥺

I'm surprised how Justin always gets off the hook for his impact on her life. For me it's quite obvious that she was in love with him, young and hopeful and impressionable as she was. He knew it was just part of the game, and easily dropped her when it was time to move on. Then he uses that look a like in his video. That must have been very damaging emotionally when someone you thought you trusted did that to you. He gets off the hook way to easily (again! See Janet Jackson)

@@marriot3849 Twitter has and the Black community turned their back on him after the Janet Jackson situation. But producers and other black musicians keep working with him. He used the likeness of Prince after Prince passed away and rips Michael Jackson’s likeness off as well. It’s disgusting really
