The best bmpcc clip i have never seen
Nice.
This might be a few years old now but it's still amazing. Very nice work and a wonderful example of how well this camera works.
That OG Pocket produces some great footage. Lots of texture, feels filmic.
The color looks very similar to the samurai films...classic!
wow. This looks great
Lovely.
wonderful vid, thanks for sharing
thank you please keep doing what you do.
Very nice :)
That symmetry though. Rule of thirds on fleek. I wish the BMPCC had on-screen grid lines!
Did you shoot this in RAW?
ProRes and RAW mixed.
Gorgeous as always... Nice idea to ad scenes from your previous videos with another coloring.
Good video Darwinfish! make more like these
Awesome vids! subscribed.
Beautiful, thanks for the feature! Loving your videos. :)
I have always loved your films intact you are in my top five filmmakers on the UA-cam platform. I did not know if you still own the original Blackmagic Pocket Camera but was just wondering if you can get a timelapse mode with it.
JAPAN 2014 - Introduction / BlackMagic Pocket - This is a little intro of my future movie about Japan ! ;) Take a look
i need to get to tokyo
The movie was so great that i was moved by it!! Ill recommend it to my friends!!
hello! I have a BMPCC with a Samyang 14mm T3.1 Cine Lens and I cannot get a very sharp image like this beautiful video you have... could it be the lens I am using?
+anzahri08 I guess that it is the diffraction blur. The F number to shoot at F5.6 or less. During the day to use the ND filter.
+anzahri08 hey I have the exact same camera and lens as you and the Samyang 14mm is shit mate. It is too soft and hard to focus. I sold my Samyang 14mm lens today as a matter of fact as I got sick and tired of it producing sub par quality. It wasn't worth the price either. I'm going to invest in some Panasonic Lumix lenses as they are really sharp and give a very cinematic look!
***** i really thought it was the lenses! weeeew! Gonna do the same... thanks for giving me the info bro! cheers!
anzahri08 no worries!
The look and feel in this footage is excellent!!! I see you used Osiris color grading and I was just wondering what settings you had the camera on ?
film log, 24fps, shutter angle 172.8, 400ASA(day), 8000ASA(night),
Thanks so much! And which Osiris filter did yo use ?
Nadir Samara M31
The best
very nice video bro. im glad im out of that place
cool Japaん
Did you use any noise reduction? Looks great.
I did not use noise reduction. Re-encording of UA-cam lose detail and noise. you can download from vimeo.

It's a beautiful work of yours, if you would not mind telling me what are the best export settings to upload to youtube

I like how you left it looking film life. Really captures the feel of what it was like for me living in Nagasaki

Clams Casino - I'm God
This could be a good music for your next timelapse!
amz
At 0:39, the man on his bicycle. I've seen him in at least a few other videos you've done around Tokyo. Do you know him or is he just riding around on his bike so much that he ends up in so many videos? (I always notice him because he has such a cool bike!) :)
How did you get it so detailed at 0:18 ?? I recently got a BMPCC so I'm really curious! Thanks.
beautiful footage
What is the stabilizer you use for this video ?
warp stabilizer in Adobe Premiere Pro.
darwinfish105 it doesn't Corp too much footage?
Can you send me the Luts pack please ?
4:08 that cop is doing a strange thing.

F**K ME! This looks brilliant!
Oh, wow! That is by far your best video yet! It looks cinematic. I particularly like the composition of your imagery. I thought that you choose a very interesting colour palette when you colour-graded the raw footage. Well done! :)
It's so pretty, thanks for the video, they're always amazing!
