A convoluted idea for one of these videos: Both participants look at their randomized starters at the same time. One person then spins a wheel full of "prerequisites." Whichever prerequisite is landed on will determine which starter both participants have to take for that roll. Both participants re-randomize their starters, see what they get, and then spin again for a new prerequisite. Prerequisite Examples: -Heaviest Pokemon -Tallest Pokemon -Pokemon with the most different colors on its body -Pokemon with the highest Pokedex number -Players get to choose -Pokemon with the longest cry -The first Pokemon you'd get if naming them in alphabetical order (If by some chance two Pokemon meet the same prerequisite, then the player can choose between them) Also, Steel type is my favorite :D
Honestly always confused when they're upset about not getting Calyrex, the Rider forms sure but regular Caly is pretty mid with 100 HP and 80s everywhere else
My favorite overall type is 100% Electric. I genuinely can't think of a single actually bad electric Pokemon design, It's a great defensive typing with only one weakness and several resistances, has access to amazing moves both physical and special, usually are very fast with a handful of exceptions that make up for that weakness in other areas, and also often have a lot of utility capabilities.

Poison, steel, dark, fairy, psychic, fire, dragon, ghost, ground, ice, electric, bug, water, grass, fighting, flying, rock, normal are my order from favorite to least favorite, but the last half are just kinda tied for last place since ice is the last type I actually think of as "eh, there's some neat things I like to try" with them, especially now with the weather changed from hail (garbage) to snow (pretty decent). There are also exceptions to this (archeops is in my top 5 all time favorites honestly because of its power and flaws being so interesting).
Here's an idea for if you do this setup again: each of you has 1-2 "Steals" that you can use to swipe a Pokemon the other person got (giving an incentive to *NOT* reveal what Pokemon was chosen). This way it adds a bit more of a mind-game aspect to it as you can either try to trick the other person into stealing a bad Pokemon or try to steal a good Pokemon from the other person. Or, alternatively, you could instead have a few "Blocks" that you can use to either reject a Pokemon you would have otherwise gotten, or force the other person to take one of the two remaining Pokemon instead. For instance, if someone had a Giratina, Grafaiai, & Spidops and Giratina was chosen, a "Block" could be used to force either Grafaiai or Spidops to be taken instead.
My favorite Pokemon type is Ghost. I like the trickery the typing allows for. As well as being immune to Normal so a great switch in against Extreme Speed for example.
My favorite type is ground as its pretty good offensively and hits lots of types for super effective. Plus alot of my favorite pokemon have it as a secondary typing. Gastrdon, Quadsire, Garchomp, Flygon, Mamoswine, Steelix, Nidoking or Nidoqueen: got some powerhouses in here
