This ability idea is really fun. I think another potential idea with it could be: Tell your opponent what your 3 starters are (with one lie) and they pick which one they want you to have, then you chose the ability. So ideally both teams would end up with all of the "worst" options and you would try to make them usable with the ability you give it

2T1L by first letter of the starters' names, along with abilities needing to be of the same first letter; this is the most complex yet interesting concept combo I've seen on this channel yet. It's different but enjoyable at the same time

This is absolutely the best version of the then we battle series to date. So much more interesting than most of the others although the lie feels a bit unnecessary for this one? The info is already so limited.

I know it would be a TON of extra work, but I have always thought it would be really cool to see a team recap before the fight starts. Even still, you STAY making banger vids, my guy!
This video was great, would like like a 30-90 second clip of you fellas building your teams and explaining some of the theory around why you chose what you did. Wouldn't work for every then we battle but this one could.

Lucario has been able to learn Shadow Ball by TM since his introduction in Gen 4. Only in Gen 8 was it removed. He also learns Shadow Claw.

I love this version of how you pick and select abilities
I think it would be a lot of fun to implement the rule that if they choose the pokemon you lied about then they have to use the letter that you lied with. So covering the arceus with a T, they now have to use a T ability since they chose the lie.
This was such a fun battle the dry skin delphox was so funny and the slowking getting paralyzed into encore

An entertaining battle as always 😁 loved all of the type immunity abilities popping off, everyone always forgets about Dry Skin. But there was no way Shady was gonna lose with an As One Arceus in the back 😅

Shady played this so well, even the Clefable blunder wasn’t that bad as it gave him time to come up with the idea that Delphox is faster than Greninja
Greninja outsped Delphox, he was just bluffing so Luke wouldn't think of dry skin
7:24 not sure if making Copperajah look like it was holding its stat board with its trunk was intentional, but if so that was a great touch

Next time you do this, maybe you could do it where if you pick the lie, you have to pick an ability with the lie letter instead of the real letter. Adds some mind games for which letters you’d pick for which mons

Surprised I didn't see a h or p for huge and pure power. I like this concept for battles.
Another spin could be you look at your save then give the first letters of your mons and that choses the ability, they are allowed to pick whoever based on the mon and the letter. It also means they have to guess what Pokémon you have based off of the first letter. And then they do the same. I phrased that poorly but I hope my point gets across
