This might be the best kayak instruction vid on youtube.
I am more of a class 4 boater but I have done a fair share of 5- and got lunched by one 5. I have little interest in play boating but discovering this video has opened my eyes up to fantastic practice tips for river running. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. It was excellent of you to put in such a big effort. May your days be plentiful with high water, big holes, and sunny days.

Great Break down, both visually and auditorily! would love to see more from you guys!
This video is awesome! I'm buying my first kayak (a playboat) and taking a class (recreational kayaking) this weekend. I have been trying to assemble a list of things to practice in my pool or on a still water creek near my home. This is perfect. Everything in one place. I could stay occupied with this for weeks. Thank you!
This is the perfect video with ideas I can practice on a flat water pond in order to be ready to apply on whitewater! Thanks so much!
Thanks for making this video available. It has been a huge help in learning to playboat.
I love these videos. They are more detailed than EJ's vids.
I love the video. Thanks for the tutorial.
we are currently in production on several new video shorts as well as a full length feature. takes time and money!
That was awesome !! Thanks !! Hoping to get into kayaking late in life .
Great video - very helpful.
great warmup!
Always come back to this video. Great tool for instructors too, I find it can be hard to teach freestyle step by step but this is a great help
You'll be happy to know we will be revamping this video and adding two additional videos to make a paddling warmup series this year :)
Brilliant, thx guys
Hey Paul, I am about your weight but a bit taller and I paddle the 48X most often, although I do find that the 56X goes way bigger. However, do to an injury last year, I wanted to go a bit easier on my body this year. The 48X still goes huge for me and it is way easier to throw around, balance is your trade off though. I would recommend demo'ing both if you have the chance. Overall the Project X is a great freestyle boat and is highly recommended by lots of folks.
Very nicely put together. How about some more? Like how to blunt and spin on a wave?
Nice warmup set. Rockabuy is called double pump usually.
He says that in the video.
nice one lads, good vid thanks
Goooooooood!!!!!
sure is, Sam Fulbright is the gent you are referring to, we produce many videos together, some humorous ;)
Chris Wing
Hi Paul, I think the Project X is a great boat for those trying to get into freestyle, however if you mean a boat to get started in kayaking, check out river runners such as the Wave Sport Diesel, Dagger Mamba, Pyranha Burn or Jackson Zen... I highly recommend Wave Sport's outfitting, it's what sold me on Wave Sport to begin with.
This video is on freestyle.
hey I wanna get into this im a huge sprint kayaker. Are there any place that would help a paraplegic learn this.. It would take me a bit to get some of this stuff down but I cou,ld totally do tbis stuff
Good
alright, thanks.
What model of wave sport is it?
Maybe a random question for this video, but are those glasses or goggles? and do they stay on well? I'm looking for an alternative to wearing contacts because I don't trust them staying in through rough water and any goggles ive found have been really uncomfortable.
Who else noticed that his kayak changed from a wave spory to a blisstick!!!!!
they were two different people...
Anyone has experience with a blisstick I've found for £150 online ;))?
Pouzivejte jackson kajaky
i had no idea what freestyle kayaking was and all i can say is " holy shit wut "
What's the make name of the Kayak you lads are using?
Wave Sport Project X and Blissstick Specialist
@@whitewaterdreams Thanks for the reply. Are they similar to the Pyranha Jed?
@@TheP4U111 it could be said the Project X was the prototype to the Jed, as it preluded it and was designed by the same person, Robert Peerson. I think the Jed is the best spud boat on the market (for me). The size is right and it does everything I want it to.
@@whitewaterdreams Oh brilliant! I've just ordered a Jed to play around with, (first ever Kayak). Are they also somewhat okay for touring rivers and lakes?
@@TheP4U111 not really at all no. Check out our playboater troubleshooter playlist to see what boats like the Jed do.
Just plain old geeky glasses, with a geek strap. I got sick of using contacts and having them shift around.
isnt that guy from shit kayakers say?
