This is probably the sport where there is the fastest most graceful coordination between mind and body to achieve such complex yet beautiful movements. Some of the people in this sport are very intelligent immersing part of the Kayak at the right time in the right place and by the right amount to cause it to drag enough to aid the flip. Brilliant, and beautiful boating bubbling ballet that betters the body and the mind.

Carmel Pule' uuh "complex yet beautiful movements" snow boarding, skateboarding, bmx'ing, figure skating. They all include more complexity and grace than playboat kayaking. Not to mention a playboat is barely moving compared to other sports where people are going over 60+mph with no motorized help. Complexity I'm judging by the necessary components of the sport, balance, movement, strength, etc. Playboating is boring to watch. A person crams into a plastic boat and flips all around in a hole. Not saying it's not hard - it's just simply not that interesting of a sport to watch when compared to others. River running is more interesting to watch.

+Joseph M Downriver playboating is fun to watch, though it's not necessarily competitive.

Joe life the difference is all of those other pursuits you mention their medium is static whereas the river is...(wait for it...) fluid.
That said, l agree to a untrained eye and people unaware of the power and dynamics of a river hole or wave it's easy to underappreciated or find boring playboating...to bad for them.

great apart from the Helix, that move is a wave move not a crappy roll in the foam pile!

I am just getting into play boating and just got a loop. I was wondering if anyone had any tips to make my loop clean??

Hey mate, try to keep it straight by engaging your legs, also focus on an object upstream. But mostly it comes down to practice and good timing.
