Absolutely. I'm always flabbergasted when I see huge fleets of newer 40-50 dollar cars. I also like the durability of the older cars, you can pick them up, derail them, and not break every tiny detail. Plus, it's just plain satisfying! Thanks for following!
That upper deck just floats out from the wall as if it was held up by sky hooks.😲 Nice work, Ray! Love your track plan.❤ Its graceful curves and easements will draw us in,😊 with or without trains on the layout. 🚂Lawrence
Thank you. It's a fun exercise in geometry. When you put up the first pieces they're fairly wobbly, as things get tied together things get solid quickly.
Nice update, Ray! Those boxcars look great! I think you got a good deal on those. You didn't mention the manufacturer... I'm guessing maybe Accurail when they were using the plastic pins to mount trucks? I like the enhancements to the gate. The over-center clamp is an inspiration!

I'm honestly not sure on the manufacture of the boxcars. Not accurail, I'd recognize those. Bowser maybe? The roofs pop out as a separate piece.
