You misread info about the Dragon Age. The Divine wasn't going to name the Sun Age for violence and upheaval, she was going to name it the Sun Age because she thought Orlais was going to win the war with Ferelden. When a high dragon appeared and rampaged, killing off many of Orlais' soldiers, the Divine changed the name to Dragon to signify a time of change and upheaval.
You forgot to mention in the Divine Age Inquisitor Ameridain, founder of the first inquisition, founder and high mage counselor to the Seekers of Truth, first champion of Orlais, champion of Emperor Drakon, famed hunter of dragons, demons, and maleficarum, binder of Ancient Avvar God-Dragons.
1:20 I thought you said "one of the largest horses". So now I have a mental image of a massive horse just fucking up darkspawn left and right. A Neigh Warden, if you will.
In your overview of the Steel Age, you say that the Avvar split from Ferelden then but they split from the Alamarri in -1815 Ancient (WoT Volume 1 page 13 timeline). in the Steel Age, they invaded the lowlands and were pushed back. Other than that, it was a good overview. Keep up the good work.
I swear when you were about to mention Solas you were going to say, "Some even say he took the heralds heart and stomped on it after saying he loved her." Instead of apologized.
Wait so a few griffon eggs were preserved with magic and later discovered? Does this mean that we potentially have the chance to see them in a later game? Also was this in one of the novels?
Yup! If you romance blackwall and ship him off to the wardens, your inquisitor gets a griffon feather, suggesting that they are already full grown. And the return of griffons is sort of the plot of the Last Flight novel!
@@GhilDirthalen it also happens if your warden from origins lives you get mention of it via a letter saying that he found something that will mean more to the wardens than a cure to the calling and a feather
Can I just say how much I love your videos. I get goosebumps everytime you mention anything prominent. It's amazing. Especially the last scene where you said "Your warden, your champion and your inquisitor" - major goosebumps and your voice is so soothing that I literally listen your videos at night and fall asleep to it. I sound so stupid but I love your work♥️
I enjoy thinking about the Dragon Age almost being called the Sun Age, what with Solas' return and the tearing down of the Veil. You know... because of his name.
Theory/video ideas. Red Lyrium and the Titans. A video on the talking darkspawn we meet in the DAO DLC. A video on rather or not Corphius was really a magister that went into the golden city because I thought the magisters were turned into the archdeamons. Finally a video on rather or not it really was magisters that went into the golden city or were they the elven gods and got trapped there by the dread wolf.
So- yes and no! The most notable sighting was in the Forstbacks, during the war for Ferelden- but the first ones were in Antiva, because of Yavana! WOTv1 reads "Believed hunted to extinction, dragons emerge first in Antiva, then devastate rural Orlais and Nevarra." It seems that Yavana is responsible for the dragons coming back, so it would make sense that the first wave of new dragons came from her lair in Antiva.
Hey Ghil! I’m a new subscriber and I’d like to take you up on your offer of suggesting video ideas. I’m hoping you’ll make a video on the Easter Eggs, pop culture references, jokes, and homages in the Dragon Age series. Thanks!
I rather they solve the set-up events they already have created than go back to past events. Flasback DLC's are fine, but we already have enough on our plate in the present.
We did. And we saw her. It's Grand Enchanter Fiona, who was a former Grey Warden.. When she got cured she was forced to return to the Circle. We learn about this in the Novel about the Architect (this is the same novel when we get confirmation that she's Alistair's mother).
Nope, just over one year. It began in 9: 30 and ended in 9: 31. However the Dwarves first faced Urthemiel's horde in 9: 13 when Bownammar, the City of the Dead, fell to the darkspawn (that's the Dead Trenches for all those who have played Dragon Age Origins). The Grey Warden's first detected Urthemiel's awakening and the apppearance of the darkspawn around southern Ferelden in 9: 25. So if we're going to be technical the Blight actually lasted around 5 to 28 years, depending on whether you count the attacks on Dwarven Thaigs as part of the Blight's timeline.
You forgot about tge possibility of the first magister the hero of ferelden/warden commander encounters on Awakening called the Architect who if you allow him to survive he frees the darkspawn from the Archdemon control
comming from 4/7/2020 but maybe a vid about what might happen once the last Old God (archdemon) has been slain. arent there only like 7 Old Gods? meaning since there have been 5 blights that there should be only 2 left right?
I know it’s late, but could we get a video summarizing all of the information we should know before going into Inquisition, I’ve never played DA before. (Ps if there is already a video on this sorry)
I'm sorry must have missed it what starts an Age in Dragon age? It's not every 100 years is it? Also we've had 3 different divines in 40 years in one age
I would like to see a game where the Elves purge everything human, and force humans into poverty. History has a way of repeating. Sometimes it becomes poetic.
That’s a good first question. Almost like you were fated to do this and that question was meant to be first. I also think my penis is my 11th toe so I wouldn’t take anything I say too personal but rather large grains of salt
I just had to realization. The mission for your Warden when he left Thedas is to find a cure for the blight. Your Warden is trying to revive the Griffins!
A little linguistic problem here Katie. Maric mother, Queen Moira. You pronouced her name like "Mor-ee-ah" which doesnt sound quite right, its a scottish name and its pronounced more like "Moy-rah" Happy trails!

@@dauntingkitty Haha, yeah. DA2 unfortunately didn't have to scope of Origins and Inquisition. It just comes off as a prologue to Inquisition.
I like the last part were she says, "And some say he apologized along the way." That was really funny.
The first Mass Effect game had main codex entries that were voiced. BioWare should definitely hire you to do the same with Dragon Age 4 lol

I gotto say. Even though this is a relatively small dragon age channel, it has a surprising amount of production value and polish. Great work!

the old gods, the dragons that ancient tevinter worshiped became the archdaemons

I loved Solas 😂. He was so interesting and becam even more so when we found out who/what he really is
I forget when the Divine decides on the name of the next age, but do we know what the next one will be called?
