When we have faith in what Jesus did for us by shedding His blood for our sins then we are putting all our faith in Christ with none of our own works (good behavior not required). Sealed for eternity, the mysteries of Paul tell me that I am already in the body of Christ and cannot be unborn. Reading the epistles of Paul is the best way to know you're saved. Thanks to all the Bible teachers out there that are KJV only. Separate the suffering of flesh from the hope of a glorified body and pray frequently.
I'm 56 and was saved about 16 months ago, and I was so happy and felt amazing for 6 to 8 months and then the warfare began, the Spirit battles for me everyday and I am so grateful for it because I would have not been able to do it myself, it is definitely true that he will fight you battles ,praise the Lord Jesus Christ and all glory be to God
Feel the same way. Important thing is to trust Gods word that says 1 John 1-5: if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I keep needing to hear this. I still struggle with sin, and have been fearful of if I'm really saved. I keep thinking if I'm saved why do I still sin? As Christians we still have the sinful desires, but the Holy Spirit inside you gives you the power to resist the temptation. That's something we have to learn and practice though. It's not automatic.
How much do you sin? How often? What kind of sins? How bad do I feel after? Am I sinning as much as the next guy? Am I sinning less than I used to? Instead of trying to play detective and deduce whether or not you're saved, why not depend on God's promises. They are sure and so you will be able to know for sure also. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Thats how you know, by Gods promise. Now isnt that easier and more simple and sure than trying to figure it out by examining your behaviour? Trust in God's promises, not your efforts.

All these mind games and self-deception. I know my sins that were taken away in 2010 I am still free of today. I still struggle with pornography and homosexuality but now I see I have the power to overcome. I still struggle with and it made me wonder if I really am saved because I am cursing also now. I was lead to these videos by the grace of God and I attend a small fellowship of believers. I have to believe this is the Lord because I didn't find this or was searching for this on my own. I have been crying out for deliverance. I think the fact that we are concerned and seek God shows that we are alive. I know and believe that Jesus died for my sins. Keep the faith Mags ! The mono attacked my liver, I lost 30 lbs making me weigh 130. Once I recovered and started treating myself with insulin she left me. I was ripped apart, I drank nearly 1/5th of vodka daily for a month and cursed her out saying anything I could to make her feel the way I did. 6months later my friends told me about what God did on the cross and I wept. I prayed that one day she would reach out so that I could tell her about God. One month ago, 2 years after I last spoke to her she reached out and apologized. I’m still waiting to see her in person if it is God’s will so I can share the gospel with her appropriately. Please pray that she receives the gospel so I can save her soul because I love her dearly.

Best sermon on the GOSPEL I've ever heard. I thought I was saved about 10 years before I was saved! When I received the Holy Spirit I KNEW I was saved. They were wonderful self righteous rough tribulation years. I served GOD in the Church [building] 2 to 3 days a week I gave about 30% I was so GOOD. When I received the Holy Spirit, It was revealed that God did not like my rotten fruit. There is only one acceptable offering. The Blood of the Lamb HE provided!
I always find myself coming back to these videos, I sin out of sheer ignorance, my mind goes completely blank and I'm like a zombie and I say and do things that I don't even want to do. I know I'm wrong, I love God and I want righteousness. I want to be in the presence of my lord, I don't want to be away from him in anyway. I live my life in the ways of the world but in my heart i'm not like this. I'm constantly talking to God about my mistakes and how it comes naturally and I always fail everyday and have to ask forgiveness each day. I hate my body, I have body dysmorphia, depression, anxiety, PTSD. find myself always being hateful because I don't even love myself sometimes, I love others but can't even love myself
I know how you feel. May I advise what I am trying? I'm trying to stop asking for forgiveness and just believe in it with all my heart, Jesus that is. Reckon myself as Jesus on the right side throne of God and a overcomer.
I hope u have overcome this but incase u haven't I would love to help. When we read about how Judas betrayed Jesus and afterwards he felt sooooo sorry for what He did he couldn't handle it. So rather than confessing and asking for the promised forgiveness and repenting he let his guilt and shame take over and chose to die in his sin. It is a outright rejection of the grace and the horrific torture and crucifixion of Jesus. The whole reason He endured what He did is to reconcile us to God. Please don't reject it. He loves us soooo much.
Just remember that Jesus died for ALL of your sins! Past, Present, and Future. When you got saved he forgave you of ALL of your sins. Past, Present, and Future. I used to be the same way, always asking forgiveness after sinning. But then I realized that God doesn’t tell us to keep asking for forgiveness over and over. When we mess up he wants us to confess/acknowledge our sins and THANK HIM that he’s already forgiven us! He is faithful and just to forgive us if we confess to him 🙌🏽

And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:19 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--Ephesians 2:8
You get forgiven once in your life. You don’t have to beg for it over and over. If all you do is ask for forgiveness you won’t be forgiven. When you believe God about Jesus Christ you get forgiven for and cleansed from all your sin. Read Colossians 2:13 in the King James Bible. I also highly recommend Mikes cheap pamphlet on the “ 1 John 1:9 protestant confessioal”. It will be enlightening to you. Asking for forgiveness doesn’t bring forgiveness, believing in who Jesus is and what He’s done for you brings complete forgiveness. Daily begging will get you no where, read the Bible and believe it.
Trust in the blood. Without blood theirs no remission of sins. When I started trusting his blood, I stopped asking for forgiveness, because when I trust the blood. It cleanses ALL sins away. He said, IT. IS. FINISHED!

This right here, what you spoke of, was my source of joy when I was born-again and I had a good teacher who emphatically, tirelessly taught as you did, until we could accept it! It sounds too good to be true---but it IS true! Makes a huge difference in the confidence we have in Christ. My teacher had a little acrostic for who we are by the Spirit who indwells us. She called it: PIES = Perfect, Incorruptible, Eternal, Sanctified.

I had a false conversion when I repeated a prayer a pastor told me, not even understanding the gospel and was told I was saved. I had the impression that that prayer saved me. The "conversion" didn't stick and eventually I went back to a sinful lifestyle. It wasn't until years later when I was alone with God He convicted me that I was a sinner and I repented and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. That was a genuine conversion that didn't fit the ABC salvation prayer formula, but was a cry from my heart that I knew I was a sinner on my way to hell and Jesus Christ was the only answer.

I have spent years in what could probably be described as a Lukewarm Christian. There was a period of time of intense shame and guilt from screw ups being revealed that helped me turn from sin and have been seeing a lot of growth from that state but I notice that I am being attacked spiritually more often and stronger. Particularly at night in those transition moments from fully awake to asleep and out of it. This is new and asking for prayers. Jesus is lord and savior and I have repented and prayed for these attacks to be blocked.

You get forgiven once in your life. You don’t have to beg for it over and over. If all you do is ask for forgiveness you won’t be forgiven. When you believe God about Jesus Christ you get forgiven for and cleansed from all your sin.
Read Colossians 2:13 in the King James Bible. I also highly recommend Mikes cheap pamphlet on the “ 1 John 1:9 protestant confessioal”. It will be enlightening to you.
Asking for forgiveness doesn’t bring forgiveness, believing in who Jesus is and what He’s done for you brings complete forgiveness. Daily begging will get you no where, read the Bible and believe it.
Trust in the blood. Without blood theirs no remission of sins. When I started trusting his blood, I stopped asking for forgiveness, because when I trust the blood. It cleanses ALL sins away. He said, IT. IS. FINISHED!

I wish more Christians could grasp this! This right here, what you spoke of, was my source of joy when I was born-again and I had a good teacher who emphatically, tirelessly taught as you did, until we could accept it! It sounds too good to be true---but it IS true! Makes a huge difference in the confidence we have in Christ. My teacher had a little acrostic for who we are by the Spirit who indwells us. She called it: PIES = Perfect, Incorruptible, Eternal, Sanctified.

I had a false conversion when I repeated a prayer a pastor told me, not even understanding the gospel and was told I was saved. I had the impression that that prayer saved me. The "conversion" didn't stick and eventually I went back to a sinful lifestyle. It wasn't until years later when I was alone with God He convicted me that I was a sinner and I repented and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. That was a genuine conversion that didn't fit the ABC salvation prayer formula, but was a cry from my heart that I knew I was a sinner on my way to hell and Jesus Christ was the only answer.
You made me cry in a good way. Thank you.

I have spent years in what could probably be described as a Lukewarm Christian. There was a period of time of intense shame and guilt from screw ups being revealed that helped me turn from sin and have been seeing a lot of growth from that state but I notice that I am being attacked spiritually more often and stronger. Particularly at night in those transition moments from fully awake to asleep and out of it. This is new and asking for prayers. Jesus is lord and savior and I have repented and prayed for these attacks to be blocked.

Since beginning a return to Faith I have been bombarded by recommended videos that claim you need to do so many things, that 98% of Christians are doing it wrong and going to hell, and all this stuff when the message of the Bible itself is fairly straightforward and supports little to none of that negativity. I will continue to explore God's word itself, as that is the main source!
