I didn't think this game was still alive, I'm kind of glad. Thank you for this, amybe, if I decide I'll return back to this game, I'll be coming back to rewatch.
This is a pretty good video! I really like how short and to the point the narration is, it's the perfect length and has just enough information for this kind of video. However, I've noticed that the video's length is really high because there's a lot of "filler" match footage that could be trimmed (like how with a lot of characters their match footage extends for 20-30 seconds past when the narration ends). If you decide to do an updated version of this kind of guide down the line, just keep in mind that with how many characters there are in the game you really want to cut down on empty filler and adjust the match footage accordingly so that the video isn't nearly as long and you can get through everyone much quicker. It's still a really good video that's great for newcomers, but just keep this advice in mind for next time!
@@savien6401 Yeah, but the video's much longer than it could be and he's already recommending you watch pro players to see how they're played, so I don't see the point in dragging those sections out further.
I honestly wouldn't say Narukami helps Yosuke run his gameplan. The team is strong but from Yosuke's angle you need to play as more of a standard character since Narukami doesn't offer support for Yosuke specific situations such as V slash + assist and air coverage. Ruby would honestly go better in that slot.
This video is ruff for a new player I think. I have played maybe 5 minutes of the game and play uni but this was hard to follow. Each time it switched to a new character i think it needed the name and the picture of the character. Sometimes you would see four characters on screen and it was like who is character we are looking for here what do they look like. Also maybe show the names of the characters and a small icon for the recommened partners and also show the player names. Lots of the players spell things in different ways or use numbers instead of letters so they can be hard to find. Also means you could just pause the video and look them up instead of possibly listening to that section 2 or 3 times just to be able to take not of each of the players or possible partners to look up later
Would you say the voice over talking about the character or the video being sectioned for each character was not a sufficient way to indicate who to focus on in the matches? I like the idea of showing the partners and players names on a graphic and planned for that but it was later scraped due to my lack of experience in creating clean graphics. To mitigate confusion while searching for specific players, you can always use the character sort option on keeponrockin and you'll find the players easily in most cases. I greatly appreciate the feedback!
@@Bojack198 It really isn't enough to simply only have a voice talk over it to indicate character. Someone might be scrubbing through the video trying to find their character, and are going to have great difficulty trying to find them. Overall, it helps to have a "landmark" that people can anchor their focus to.
@@Bojack198 The voice over and the footage is fine. Its just when I have never heard of Jubei before and then i see two or four characters on the screen and its hard to listen at that point and figure out which one is the character called Jubei. For example my mains are Ruby and Neo 2 characters that are mainly used as the point however through having even a semi decent understandment of your two characters can allow you too properly string them together so for example Neo's mix ups lessen the more you play against someone and the more they become aware of your pattern but by doing 2C jcC you can get a really fast overheard which can help if the opponent isn't quick on blocking or are always dping you out of the air, the issue is you don't get anything afterwards using Ruby's 4P or 5P you can prop them up and then start a combo same with Ruby's 236C which if timed correctly can allow for the full attack to go off if timed correctly with Neo's 4P and that's just me
