Went to Echuca in May, I love the town, it's beautiful and so full of history. The flag is the Murray River Flag and is flown by paddle steamers that sail the Murray. It dates back to 1850 when the Murray River League was announced. I learned about it at the museum in Echuca. For those that may not know, the NSW-Vic border is actually the southern shore of the Murray, at this point, and thus when sailing on a paddle steamer, on the Murray, at Echuca you're actually in NSW. This was explained to us why we didn't need face masks on the MSV Canberra, at that time, as it wasn't compulsory to wear a mask on public transport in NSW in early May 2021, but it was in Vic.

Great video Stef. These lock downs suck! Haven’t seen my Queensland grandchildren for 3years. Either we’re in lockdown or they couldn’t get to Victoria because of the drought. Now it looks like they might not be able to make it this Xmas the way things are going!. Glad you had time to do something special with your daughter. Priceless memories.they grow up too fast!

Yes missing travel and flying too. I made an effort just before lockdown to take my son out for a flight over Mt Buller. The snow was spectacular!I’m thankful for the good time we had. I’m hopeful of more good times ahead. Might be a little while…

It's a bit hard to see, but I think the flag is either the "upper murray river flag" or the "lower murray river flag". Also, cracking video. Loved every moment of it. I'm doing my ppl course right now and, living in the U.K, I have the ability to fly whenever I want now. It's really easy to take these things for granted. Hopefully you can get back to flying as soon as possible 🤞
Genuine, authentic and such an amazing way to spend time with your daughter. Hopefully I’ll get create similar memories with my family once I’ve passed the PPL. Prelicense completed the day before we went into lockdown!
Great video Stef. They are precious memories. I'm in my 50's and when I was a really young bloke I flew with my grandfather out of Bankstown in a Piper Arrow. He was a RAAF instructor in Perth during WW2 in the Wirraway. I flew with him until he couldn't hold his pilots licence anymore. Fun fact he was so short 5 ft 6 that he had to sit on two cushions. They are memories I've kept for my whole life and it developed for me and one of my cousins love of aviation.
