  • finally a vespa ignition from an experienced motorbike proffessional = VAPE.cz with a 110 Watt power and vertical pickup contacts solve the annyoing isues with flywheel + crank stump.
    see the dough test: • vespa PLAY DOUGH picku...
    good parts, proper quality, a lot of watts even in low revs, i like it!
    cause have a look at the IDM ignitions, in low revs, they only deliver very weak electric power = you again do have a stoneage 6 volt headlight and the indicators do not work... (?!??! for hundreds of euros this is really bad joke)
    potentials i saw:
    groundplate pretty thin at the edge, even though there is enough space / long hole needed for the cdi that it fits the standard cdi holder holes / plugs smaller than standard / SPORT vcdi curve not appropiate for the street / more than one curve would be state of the art see overrev (also vape) / flywheel balancing (just the magnets are) /
    stick to the ROAD version with STATIC ignition. do NOT use the RACE Vcdi with VARIABLE timing on the street, the ignition curve is for race. on the road, it steal quite some performance. feelable and measureable, see:

    established in 1991 = 19y experience with ignitions, this ensures good quality management, based on experience with exactly these electronical parts and THATs ingenious!
    cause vespa scene suffers from lack of quality from divers suppliers... endcostumers can be easily fooled, marketing helps, everything is sellable, profit comes before costumer satisfaction. good quality would be just fair, a win/win for both sides, seller and buyer, but often its not provided.
    now checkout the other fancy IDM ignitions, such as:
    vespatronic, parmakit, malossi, polini, pinasco, evergreen, vmc etc.
    do you think these brands are proffessionals for ignitions? Or just dealers, buying, branding, reselling? now compare the typical 4 coil stator with each other, what do you see ;) exactly. you can assume its pretty much the same hardware, now compare the prices for the same hardware AND then surf ebay, alibaba, aliexpress etc and u will find the stator for 15 bucks.
    i would rather go for hardware from a proffessional, for exactly this hardware
    = vape = the new sip VAPE ignition
    for a very good price
    therefore, the best on the market for me!
    yes, the overrev ignition is also from VAPE ;)

    I have a SIP / VAPE sport kit on my nearly stock V50R. The kit had the same small electrical connectors and missing longhole in CDI bracket. Bought the kit 1 year ago and used it al summer without any problems. Why do everbody recommend variable CDI for race bikes only? I think it works awsome on my slow and weak moped as well

      thinking vs proof. My recommendation is not thinking but based on a real test. video coming up soon: static 17 vs variable 23°,sip vape, m244,
      50-100kmh, 3rd gear, variable 1,5s slower than static AND engine feels way weaker, it steals a lot of characteristic of the new sip road 3. lets say at least THIS curve is absolutely not for the road.

      Shouldn't peak rpm match the same degree's as standard? Don't gain any hp just gain torque though the range

    Great Video as usual 👌 I have a bgm 187cc and sip road 3, I have been told by most that I need the DC Static but do you recommend the Variable? PM tuning did say the Static is basically just an expensive fly wheel, thank you

      pm tuning, tells a lot, when the day is long. also heared other funny, technical wrong statements. 🤦‍♂️ very sad. but i know get some typical approaches in the uk i see here and there.
      na, thats very wrong. its a very good stator. sport ignition timing curve is bad for the road.
      vape road is perfect for the street.

    Great video, could you please show the regulator side of the vespa, how you connected it.
    I'm having trouble connecting my Sip ignition on my 2005 PX150.
    I bought the DC version and I get low watts, the light is now weaker then before with stock stator.
    Also the battery is not getting charged.

      Keep the original regulator. why changing it if its ok.

      me too, I've same experience, SIP regulator did not have wire/pin connect to the Headlamp and the output voltage only 12V , product description said it can produce 13.8V

      i dont understand, which effect are you expecting? a) more WATT b) lighter flywheel effect, thats it. the exact setup doesnt matter, its the same with every engine.

      Thx! sip VAPE is vape.cz, checkout their page, offering ignitions for a wide range of bikes for 20 years or so, so they do know what they are doing. They are ignition professionists = sip vape very forst choice
      vespatronic, parmakit, pinasco, polini, malossi, evergreen, vmc etc all the same china/taiwan ignition, where u can find the stator online for 15.- any more questions? ;)
      Absolutely sip vape. Not really comparable with the other cheap 4 coil ignitions, its a dofferent league.

    if I use a standard engine but replace the sip ignition, does it affect the wasteful or not the gasoline?

      You mean leas fuel consumotion? no. Better do a small otuning light, that could show some fuel effect

    looks alot like a modern scooter stator like yamaha aerox or gilera runner. maybe it is based on those design. how does it compare with vespatronic? mine is shitty especially on low rpm. very low output voltage on low rpm and the weight is too light for my preference.

      all these ignitions are the same but different labeled. yes, really crappy watt at low rev, kindof a big step back to the 60ies to 6 volt candles 😂👍

    have a parmkit on my px polini 177 with porting and rebore....do I set the stator at the 125 marks or 200 ...thanks real need the advice

      no marks at all. You need to set ignition timing in detail. marls are always wrong. Its 17-18 degree. No matter if 177, 210 or 244

      no. and omg why would you do that? Vape is a ignition proffessional for 30years, bgm is just a part dealer, branding everything possible to make max profit. I recommend buying real products, from. Real. Producers, not just branders
      Thats why it is so nice that sip of course doesnt hide the origin of the parts. Its a sip VAPE. not just a SIP.

      not at all. check alibaba aliexpress how much these stators are sold. only a few bucks. which i dicates the quality. its offered under varioua brands, none of the real producers but just vespa/lambretta parts dealers.
      not to speak about terrible low power, turning lights into candles at idle.

      for 30y they offer ignitiona for motorbikes for over 30y already.
      they are proffessionals.
      all 4coil asia stator brands & dealers, not.

      packed? for aprox 8 different brands? 😉😉😉 just look for the typical 4 coil stator. its all very very cheap asian hardware as i already posted.

    Why not just buy a Motorcycle which will be way faster and better handling. Buy a BMW R1250? Or S1000RR ? I guess BMWs are cheap in Germany?

      exactly! BUT bmw is like a disease around here with all mid 40ies, if you go for a ride out and park it, you nearlly cant find it anymore after the break, so much GS are around... so i do ride a TRIUMPH ;) both worlds are fun. motorbike and a spicy vespa & as well an automatic of course. just one thing is boring, isnt it. what are you riding

      and dont forget the need for men to do something with their hands, building your own engine and riding it lager on is FUN and brings satisfaction which men need ;)

      The idea is to gain the power out of the simple Vespa engine and not easily buy a stronger bike. This is boring for technical interested men.

      @@FreakMoPed8 I see your point. I have a PX with Malossi 177 kit. Ported cases, bigger carb, exhaust, race crank, clutch etc etc. I took lot of advice from your videos.
      I also have 6 motorcycles ranging from 200 to 1000cc.
      While I enjoy and love my PX, for longer/faster and mountain-road (twisty roads) I use my Motorcycles here in Australia. I am too afraid to ride a scooter through the hills due to lack of balance and power.
      I grip my bike with my feets and knees (on the tank) for leaning and turning fast. Can't do that on a PX.
      Autos? I absolutely hate them. I once unsubscribed from you for a month after you started doing autos. Thankfully you are not doing them now.
      By the way, loved your Triumph.
