I like how it looked on that 2 piece strap towards the end of the video better than the metal bracelet... Also rotating the bezel, when the flat side is at the 12 position versus the triangle notch position it gave it a different look. Pretty cool. I hope it does well.
I always try to throw the watch on some other straps, so you can see some different looks. But for some reason I only liked that 2 piece ARTEM equal to the bracelet. I really like the bracelet, but some other strap choices can break up all the steel for sure. This one's a winner...it should do well!
Nice review. I like the design. I have a Maru, so perhaps I am partial to Auscars design style. Agree that if you are interested in the watch, Ikigai is a safe kickstarter bet, so I would not hesitate. Auscar is very engaged with the community and his passion for producing great watches is refreshing. Now to pick a dial colour…..💙🧡💜
Yes, I should have pointed out that his first watch was wildly successful and all orders were delivered. The build quality on this is spectacular. This is a by the book example of what microbrands can deliver in design, specs, and value! I think this blue is my favorite, but Solar Flare is trying to steal my heart!
I didn't feel that unbalance, but I can understand your point. For me the symmetry of the two triangles on the bottom matching the top ties it in. Then the 12 o'clock triangle is just its normal self! This bezel is likely a love/hate situation for most, but I really love it!

Haha! Love that you did a full circle! The more I wore it, the less the bezel seemed "funky" to me. Definitely full marks for originality. Enthusiasts always complain about boring watches, or unoriginality from homage pieces or inspiration.....well, here you go! I love microbrands like this! You can't say this looks like anything else...

Definitely unique! The grip from the top side, where we seem to grab it anyway, is SO good.

The triangle at the top throws it off for me. No balance in the bezel with 3 triangles close together at the top. Otherwise i like it.
