great video! enjoyed watching over my morning coffee. What process do you use to clean your coins - particulalry the ones where you want to really preserve any detail
@@Teddy___Parker hey Teddy! So I have a different process for copper coins then I do for silver. This Roman coin for instance will sit in a pot of distilled water for a few weeks and be gently swilled from time to time. I find that can really help bring out some details while not taking some away by scrubbing its surface 👍👍
@@Teddy___Parker gold will hardly ever need cleaning because it’s gold. Silver on the other hand can vary from coin to coin but I have a video on my channel demonstrating how I would go about cleaning and straightening a very tarnished hammered coin 👍
Great video mate, loved the little figure, that brooch is a great find 👍 The legacy program audio definitely tells you the difference between a digger and a leaver
Creepy for sure. I got back from Suffolk of three days metal detecting and used the Legacy program at the last hour of each day. Ended up finding my oldest coin to date. The Roman coin was a Vespasian, 69 AD. It had some awesome detail and I can’t wait to get it back. I gave you credit in the video a couple times while using the legacy program.
@@DoubleGDigs great stuff Gary, you can’t beat a nice bronze sestertius, I bet you were made up with that. Thanks for the shout outs. I’ll check out your videos. Good luck on your hunts my friend. Michael 👍👍
Great work as ever Michael - some fab shots, (I still really like that drone shot, which shows you doing a PTC to the main camera... 'has a great 'behind the scenes' vibe to it... 🙏). Cool finds too - an' yeah, I'd guess that little figure's super-old - tho' I might 'accidentally' leave it with the FLO!... #HauntedMuseum ... 😅 Thanks as ever mate, Bobby 👊
Thanks so much Bobby. I always enjoy when people notice the little details I put into these videos and to be fair it’s usually you so a testament of your time working on productions 😃 that statue is currently in a metal tin at the end of the garden.. hopefully the FLO will take it 👍👍
@@OMA_MetalDetecting Hey cheers mate 🙏🏻 an' yeah, maybe palm that little chap off on the 'Trick or Treaters' for Halloween, (unless that's too cruel?...). 😆
Brilliant . I'm taking deus2 with your Legacy programme to Viking inhabited County Down next weekend . All pasture. It will be a .assize test fingers crossed.
The bronze figure looks late Celtic or Roman. The crude design does not detract from it but gives it character and perhaps it was meant to look scary and have some creepy power. Possibly from a home shrine or rural temple and worth showing to your local FLO as bronze figurines are not common finds
The figurine looks like something from voodoo my guess it’s Celtic def looks like Celtic design with some sort Celtic god usually Celtic god figure looks like that with the face but it just my guess
Enjoyed this one, and great saves !! Love the figurine :) Cheers as always for sharing.
@@treasurearth thank you for commenting and watching buddy 👍👍
Hi Michael . congratulations on finding this figurine. beautiful .. Great episode as usual. best regards and until next time👍👊✌️
Thanks Tomasz! Not sure I’d describe it as beautiful but still a lovely find 😂 good luck buddy 👍👍
Hi Michael, cracking finds, what spade are you using please?
I see you've not had an answer, Altezza. I think you'll find it's one of Gary Blackwells, Skill School spades. 👍
Ah, thank you, where can we purchase one from?
Brill Michael. 👍👍

@@OMA_MetalDetecting awesome thanks for that - out of interest - how does your process differ for gold and silver respectively

Roman bronze figure
@@neil1922 thanks Neil. I am hoping it is one however it is very crude but could just be because of corrosion I guess 🤔👍
