    Do you ever wish that you could go back in time and warn these people about what’s going to happen? Like, don’t go with that guy, or stay home. Ugh, wishful thinking can be painful.

    He definitely killed Natalee, 100%. Killed her and threw her in the ocean. He's an actual psycho, toying with the family and manipulating them. All they want is closure. And THEN, he killed Stephanie Flores, who would have still been alive if he had been arrested for Natalee's murder.

    In 2005 I was 15 years old. I grew up about 30 minutes away from Natalee. A high school friend of mine had an older sister who went to school with Natalee. Natalee is the reason I have never left friends alone at a party or gone to places alone without letting people know where I was. Natalee's disappearance was terrifying when it happened and only became more terrifying as the years have gone off. I've always believed that she was sold into sex trafficking, but honestly at this point I hope she hasn't had to endure 12 years of misery. I don't know if her family, community and state will ever have closure. The way I thought about safety changed forever when Natalee disappeared, I will never forget her.

      Autumn Bailey sadly it is a high possibility, that she is no longer alive. Also don't think that she was sold into sex slavery, because there has never been any reports of sightings of Natalie. For sure there would be some evidence that she was sold into sex slavery by now. Like in the Amy Bradley case. However there hasn't been.

Her mother had suspicions Natalie was sold and there was a bit of evidence ...... but I wanted to say I’m so happy to hear a young person is living safer because of Natalie. I’m a sexual assault survivor and a mother of two young girls. I ALWAYS teach them to be safe . Unfortunately not everyone takes the warnings seriously and I’m so happy to know you do.

    We just got back from Aruba in August and we met a Taxi driver there that was actually head of security in the casino that Natalee had gone to. He said that when she was missing they shut down the island for 2 days (no one could come to the island and no one could leave) and every single person on the island searched for her. He also said that Joran is serving his sentence in Peru and after that has another sentence in Aruba and then when he finishes that he has another sentence to serve in Holland. So he will be locked away for a while. The Taxi driver told us he thinks she was either taken out to sea or was taken to South America/Venezuela and sold into sex trafficking.

    I'm not trying to excuse what happened, (at all, by any means), but I find it frustrating when people try to demonize Aruba/Aruban authorities when talking about this case instead of considering the fact that we don't deal with murder very often (like 1 murder a year is pushing it). Least of all kidnappings or disappearings. So our police don't know how to handle cases like Natalee's (especially not back in '05). We don't have the equipment necessary or the manpower or the training.
    Also, I was 5 or 6 when this happened and I vividly remember how many companies and businesses closed early one day after she'd just gone missing and Arubans went out to search for her. My mother, my father. It was the first time anything like this has ever happened in Aruba but we closed companies and schools early so we could go search for her (something we've never done for a local going missing). But we did (I think we all felt very guilty and shocked that something like this could happen on our island)(our population was barely pushing 100k in '05). And I'm very sorry we never found her, but we did all a small island at the time could think of doing (which wasn't enough, sadly).

    Because of Natalee I wouldn’t allow my daughter to go out of the country on her senior trip. Free booze and underage drinking combined with little to no supervision equals far too many opportunities for foul play and fighting for justice in a foreign country is hell. Such a sad case and I can’t imagine what her family has gone through. 🙏🏽

  • @alishax9202
    @alishax9202 7 років тому +308

    So incredibly sad! I do not understand why her school friends just let her get in a car with Joran without saying anything? I get that they were all drunk, but seriously? Was no-one semi-coherent enough to comprehend that getting into a car with a stranger is very dangerous? Didn't you say there were adult chaperones on this trip? I am so so confused how no-one was looking out for her, I feel like this could have been prevented.

    • @VonSoulheart
      @VonSoulheart 7 років тому +44

      Exactly! I dont understand why her friends let her wander off on an island she's never been to before. Anywhere is going to be dangerous if you don't know where you are, what you're doing or where you're going.

    • @alishax9202
      @alishax9202 7 років тому +15

      I never let ANY of my friends leave with people they don't know, especially after a night of drinking. I don't care if I'm a cock block. If you guys really want to have sex, you can do it when you're sober. I'm trying to prevent you from, either, making a mistake or getting hurt.

    • @ewanicole123
      @ewanicole123 6 років тому +5

      alisha x I think it’s the situation. They’re in a foreign country partying, going to bars and getting drunk. It was probably meant to be a night of fun and craziness. A wild night with spontaneous and crazy memories. Nothing at the time was meant to be serious. I think that the fact that they were in a different country, their guard was down and the whole “nothing will happen”, thoughts occurred. They probably lived very strict lives (She was in AP classes and planning on being a doctor) so they probably wanted a night to let everything loose. That, along with the alcohol. Not saying it was the right decision at all, in fact they should have been completely on guard *because* it was a foreign country. But as someone who loved partying, I can understand the naive mindset that can easily overtake young minds.

    KENDALL!!! I don't usually ask for requests, but PLEASE PLEAS PLEASE make a video on a fresh case that happened this past weekend in Chicago. KENNEKA JENKINS A 19 YR OLD WAS FOUND IN A HOTEL FREEZER. This hits close to home because I am a Chicago west sider and the entire city has been trying to figure it out. Just search her name on Facebook or twitter. The news media is barely talking about it because to be brutally honest, NOT MANY PEOPLE CARE ABOUT BLACK TEENS. Chicago is violent but for this to happen to a black girl & her be in a freezer is insane. Reminds me of the girl who was found in a water tank of a hotel, except Kenneka's friends were with her at the hotel smh. PLEASE KENDALL LOOK INTO IT.

It's really sad and just insane.... what gets me though is when her mom wanted to see the footage at the hotel when they were looking for her and what not the hotel wouldn't let them!!!! And all of the sudden now that it's been a week they released the footage.
