I think the guys and ducati thought "lets make this as hard a possible, then they will have to take it to the dealer to change the filter and we will make tons of money on this!" , The scrambler is hard to change, the multistrada is a disaster to change! My Honda XR 400 has a neat little door that opens without any tools and the filter just slips in and out! I do love my scrambler though! I think I am gonna get in the garage and invent a quick change kit!, I will be rich!
Amazing Vid. I'm from Austria and there was no guide on how to install the throttel reduction thing. I need this because in our country there are power restrictions on the license (A1, A2, A) so your video helped a lot. Thanks!
What model number K&N did you use bud? I know that's an easy google search but, I have a reason for asking haha..... I was perusing JP Cycles website and they said that the exact part number for my 2019 Desert Sled for K&N was DU-8015. Life experience has taught me to double check everything haha so I went to K&Ns actual website and the part number they list for a 2019 Desert Sled is DU-1006. Anyways sorry long comment, what part number did you use?
I bought the DU-8015 model for my 2017 DS but I just looked as well and it seems like the 2019 DS would need the DU-1006 model. Based on the picture they show on K&Ns site it has a pretty different shape too.. good catch!
Thanks! I have a video up showing me change out the alumnium fuel tank panels for some carbon fiber ones. I go over how to take the sticker off in that video! Thanks for watching!
Great video! I am a new Ducati Desert Sled owner, I just did the 1st oil change last week at 625 miles. Is there a noticeable power gain with just the air filter and Arrow exhaust upgrades? (not the mapping changes, just air filter and exhaust)
Catch Hell Moto, I appreciate you making these videos since there isn't much information about Ducati, do you have any about chain tensioning, and another question, the first time at what mileage did you see that you had to tension the chain? Greetings from Mexico.
Thanks so much for this! I’m hoping to have my Desert Sled in about 2 months. Any time frame on part 2 of this video? I’m just excited to see how the mapping works out with the Arrow. Cheers
Hoping to get a video out in a week, 2 weeks max. Had an issue with the Rexxer that was sent to me so currently working on that. Glad you liked the video!
Nice video dude! Do you know if need a to buy a power commander as well, or do I just need the exhaust and filter? Thanks for any help you could offer man!
It's about 5 kg or 11 lb of weight savings. I'm not too sure about the warranty - I bought my 2017 DS used. If I'm not mistaken though as long as you do not tamper with the ECU the warranty is not voided.

Hahaha! I wouldn't doubt it! It really is a royal pain. Hoping it'll be awhile until I have to do it again.

I am saving money since a year to finally get the DS. Where did you got the black Side Panels from?
Awesome Videos, keep going dude
Side panels are from Moto composites - check out my website for more information about my other modifications if you're curious!
Thanks for sharing. That was super useful. Question, how did you get the 'Scrambler Ducati' and the red cross off the side panels of the tank?
Thanks! I have a video up showing me change out the alumnium fuel tank panels for some carbon fiber ones. I go over how to take the sticker off in that video! Thanks for watching!
@@CatchHellMoto Thanks : )

Major difference, much more torque-y in the low end which is great

I'll have to look into that!
How is the sound? Is it ear piercing loud or is it bearable in long rides?
Sounds great, not at all distracting.

Check out my next video in the series about the Rexxer
What’s the link of website the exhaust was bought from?
MotovationUSA.com
Did u remap the ecu with change of air filter and exhaust, does it require?
I remapped the ECU after changing the exhaust to the Arrow performance exhaust which required a high performance air filter
@@CatchHellMoto Rexxer?
How is the Rexxer unit holding up anyway?
Why in the hell does the music have to be so loud? Great video other that the music/noise!
Working on the editing skills still, thank you though for the suggestion!
I have a 2019 sled. Will this void warranty? How much weight savings?

Very poor mic quality unfortunately
Working on it! Thanks for the comment!
