I viewed several videos on replacing the drum support rollers - this one is good --- but like all the others doesn't show how to replace the rear triangle washer. Taking them off is not a problem because they usually break. Getting the rear washer on is a PIA. The washer falls into the first groove on the spindle and is likely to break before you get it by the groove. So after several minutes of cussing I found a way to do this. Wind string around the first groove until the string fills the groove -- the washer will now slip over the first groove and can be moved to the rear groove.
Thanks for the tip. About to give this a try.
Should have shown how the pulley and belt are configured underneath the drum
perfect just perfect, skip the most important part as stated in the comments (belt removal from pulley and reinstall)
Howsa come you didn't show the routing of the belt around the motor?
Perfect.Yes it missed the belt/idler pulley part which can be found in many idler pulley noisy fix video
Thank you
something he did not say or do... is to replace all the rollers not just the back ones. If you noticed when he pulled off the door there are front rollers as well that needs to be replaced too. and it is a good idea to replace the white idler pulley as it can also ware like the rollers. side note if your dryer is making a humming sound and not rolling also replace the motor as worn down rollers will stress the motor, if it has been a while since you changed the belt than you might think about changing it while you have the dryer all apart, while you have it apart clean the lint out of the base and tubes, and vent hose attached to the back of the dryer so you will have good air flow. some models have only 2 rollers as others can have 4 or even 6 rollers so wear gloves doing this repair so you dont get cut and always do repairs with the dryer unplugged. hope this helps 06/04/21
That’s incorrect, there are no front drum rollers on the 70 Series dryers.
You the MAN. 💪💪💪
THINK YOU !!
Why don’t you show to remove the belt off the idler? You completely skipped showing that. Horrible because I can’t get it off.
For all you complaining about the belt removal/install he has a video explaining that. y’all are most the neediest people ever smh
Seriously! Bunch of entitled whiners, haha.
How about replacement of belt to rollers.
I never put them plastic clips back on 🤔 you don't need them just make sure the wheels are lined up when you put the drum back on😎
Do you need to grease the wheels at all?
I read somewhere to never grease any of that stuff. It will just attract lint and you end up with a mess. Was told to use one of those green brillo pads you wash dishes with, and clean the metal off with that. Then just put it back together.
@@bobross1550 The original ones come with grease already on them, thats why i asked if you needed to do for replacements. Alot of those parts already have it.
@@ash78907 Hmmm. Mine does not, as far as I can tell. I guess it's up to you. I will say greasing something that spins was my first thought too, but the explanation for not greasing it also made sense to me. Since your comment is a year old I'm guessing you already repaired it, so what did you end up doing?
I'm going to drill out my roller wheel s one thousands an give it a try I'm so tired of changing wheels 😔
I don’t understand why you couldn’t have just added the 15 seconds of the belt routine. It makes no sense
Why not include a cut and paste of installing the belt-pulley install? After all this work please include these final steps. Otherwise nice video.
You missed a step in describing how to get that belt on the bottom pully. That's what I need to know!
Per your advice, I removed the rear roller clips even though they didn't look bad. That was a mistake. I found it impossible to get the new clips past the first groove. Your video didn't show how to do it. I am a woman and hate to admit that I finally gave up in tears and asked my son for help. Hubby is working out of town. He warned me that nothing is ever as easy as the UA-cam videos make it look. He was right.
I'm going to make or find some siled bearing wheels.. I'm done with them metal to metal junk that's how they make money.. it's just a dumb little wheel I'm definitely going to find something else that will work 🤔 😁😁😁😁
I see the comment from "Google User" bashing those complaining about not showing the removal and replacing of the belt on the tensioner, and yes this is a very good video for what is being shown but if you're going to post a "How To" video do it complete don't leave folks wondering about an important step and leave them searching for another video to complete the job. Just saying
What happened to putting belt back on motor pulley . The hardest part of the job . WOW ...
Worthless. No details on belt installation.
Thanks for NOT showing how to get the Belt off and on the Drum properly!
Thank you
