4:28 Hey, looks good! One trick, measure corner to corner to find a square, its a lot easier than checking each corner, make an adjustment, measure again....etc.
10:05 A trick to safely resaw these on the tablesaw. Cut them through from each side, leaving about 20% in the middle. Take the final cut with a bandsaw or handsaw. You will cut your waste in half, and it is a lot quicker.
This is absolutely gorgeous. I might want to contact you for a box for a 3D HeroQuest box, this is exactly what im looking for in terms of quality and style.
Jeezes the man hours envoled for a box like that. Thought it was funny when you were like im learning wood working but yet have every wood cutting tool k own to man hahahah
Wow, it’s beautiful. How did you take into consideration seasonal flexing of the trays so they always fit? Do you cut them with a fair amount of space to allow for expansion?
Thanks! I did, there wasn’t much of a gap, 1/8th inch I think. I checked with my buddy who I made the box for throughout the year and it never had an issue thankfully 😅
Just subscribed a Great video we Just made some jewelry boxes on my channel and I have a customer that wants one a similar size thanks for sharing this video.
6:55 This is a really good idea, takes a lot of stress out of the glue up.
That’s a nice box for one of the most classic board games of all times. Your friend is going to enjoy that set for a long time.

True craftsman. Great job
This is such a beautiful box! I wish I had one for every game I own :)
What a wonderful box you made! I'm now inspired to go to my shop and do some work!
I like it, think I’ll use your design to make for our 3D printed catan board. Job well done
That Catan board is stunning! My family is obsessed with the game. Any chance your friend would make more sets???
Thanks! Unfortunately he no longer makes them.
