Since the animation, I must say that Fire nation achitectural aestatic is a mix of Southeast Asian achitectural aestatic.

Nope it's a reflection of fire from ozai(you can also see on ozai's eyes) they did right with azula on this scene you can notice the little excitement with zuko's pain.
