The name of that River is called Nwaniba, nwaniba is an Ibibio word that is translated as a river that splits into two. So the right side takes you to Cameroon while the left takes you to tinapa in Calabar. You can actually see Cameroon and Calabar on the horizon on a day with good visibility.

Here in america, every state advertise what they have on tv; sometimes i see an advertisement for california, Michigan and Kentucky on tv but i don't think those types of things are done in naija. This place should be advertise to people in Lagos, Ibadan, Abia, Imo, Bauchi to come and visit and spend their naira.

@@hunchou5240 No you can't Huncho! Utter balderdash!
Akwa Ibom is land bordered by Abia, Rivers and Crossriver state and by the Atlantic Ocean on the coast .
So no one can see Cameroon from Uyo!
Perhaps from the highest mountains in Obudu Crossriver, but not from anywhere in Akwa Ibom!
To go from Akwa Ibom to Cameroon by land, one would have to traverse through Crossriver state which at 20,156 km is nearly 3 times the size of Akwa Ibom ( 7081km).
There is No river that can link Uyo to Cameroon, one will have to get to Cross River first!

David, I have to bust your bubble!
Noooo! You CANNOT see the Cameroons from the Ibom resort or from any part of Akwa Ibom for that matter!!!
Akwa Ibom is bordered by Rivers, Crossriver and Abia states and by the Atlantic Sea!
That tourist guide is yapping nonsense!
Cross River State is one of a few states that borders Cameroon !

@@DavidNkwa Yes, anybody can drive from one place to the other on the continent if there are tarred roads!
But Cross Rivers state (20,150)is three times the size of Akwa Ibom (7,081) in land area !
There is just no way the Cameroons can be visualised from the Ibom resort ,
Please don’t forget that the Obudu resort itself which you visited forms a high barrier due to its elevation !
