I have taken the writing and grammar part of the test at least 12 times and failed by one point each time. I took tutoring and excepted help but still haven't passed. I feel stupid. But after watching this video, I feel like I can finally pass this damn test.

I take my TSI in 7 days and have been trying to refreshen up on, well everything. Tomorrow i start your math course and i just cant be grateful enough. I hope i pass, and i really hope i get into college but its all thanks to you!

I’ve failed the english tsi more than 10 times and this video really helped I’ll be retaking it tomorrow after school so I really hope to finally pass it thank you so much for the help I really needed it because I was never really taught the grammar rules😭

If I purchase your course, what's the guarantee I pass TSI? I am struggling on Elar portion.

I’ve passed the mcq portion but I keep getting a 4 on my essay portion when I go to retest how can I get a 5

Hi, I will be taking accuplacer test in Ohio. Does it matter of where am I taking it? Are they gonna be all the same?

Yes, the Accuplacer Test is the same administered nationwide… you may have the option to take only 1 or 2 sections of the test (from the 3 sections: Arithmetic, Quantitative Reasoning and Statistics, Advanced Algebra and Functions) but that only depends on the school/program you are applying for…

Is there different TSI study guides for Arithmetic and Algebra, as their is with Reading and Writing?

@@MichaelToohey Hi Michael. Thank you for your reply! To start with, I'm considering enrolling into DeVry University for a year long Certificate program. I haven't been in any school setting for over 40 years. That being said, I am a bit apprehensive about the placement test, and would like to spend some time reviewing the subjects without having to pick random youtube video's.
There are four tests. UG Writing; UG Reading; UG Arithmetic; UG Algebra. I like your teaching style and am interested in getting everything needed from one source. Thanks again for your quick reply.
What does “UG” mean? I’m not familiar with that terminology… is that specific to DeVry or is that related to the TSI in some way?
@@MichaelToohey I'm not sure that it's significant at all. From what I understand it is a Placement Test of some sort. The example study guide I can send you if that would us identify.

I guess I'm slightly confused, but I thought the TSI wasn't a pass or fail test, yet people are stating whether they passed or failed. Can someone explain this?
Great question!! Most schools have a scoring requirement for their programs or to test out if remedial courses… in general, a score of 950 is considered passing on the TSIA2 Math test… but the scoring requirements could vary slightly from program to program…
On the ELAR Test a score of 945-950 is passing, depending on how well you score on the essay portion.
@@MichaelToohey Okay, that makes sense. I was getting a little discouraged by the comments, my advisor told me that I needed to take the TSI before I'm able to register for classes and she reassured me that it wasn't a pass or fail. I got my GED a few weeks ago and I just got accepted into TCC.

Thanks for creating this ridiculous and unnecessary test. I failed for the seventh time even after I watched the video. I have a GPA of 4.00 and I'm really good at math ( and I also passed the essay without watching any videos) so this test doesn't matter to me. My only concern is because I'm not able to pass this part of the test they won't let me take my classes. Thank you for destroying my education.
