So as long as the Origins line stays strong with sales, we will probably get one new all new tooled figure with each wave and then Repaints or variatints like this Skeletor. Most of stuff comes from online for more cost and shipping too so I can have early reviews on my channel. The distribution and Production numbers on this line is nothing like the Days of the Vintage figures in the 80s. We just get what we can find or afford when we can. I'm in the USA, East coast and my distribution is bad too!

@@jasonglover1243 it has been since day one. Unfortunately the variants help kill that 200x line along the newer generation wasn't into it. Its one of things people like or Hate. Variants are a tricky business in the MOTU line! I always liked He-man and Skeletor Variants. It just goes back to the vintage days and nastalgia for me. I don't mind the Snake armor variants with He-man and Skeletor. It kind of goes along with the original snakemen story. But hey you like it! I totally respect that and walk away! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts👍
@@Themanchlid You're right about the 200X HM/Skele variants. Mattel really overdid it. I was dual collecting a complete loose, and a complete carded 200X collection at the time. So part of it was the relentless onslaught my wallet was under. Seeing this just brings back bad memories of "buying everything" no matter how silly it was. Plus, 200X Snake Armor came out when the line was on its last legs. I don't buy the rumors of Origins ending this year, but this figure does give me uneasy deja vu. 🤪
@@northstar5 Yep your collection story sounds very typical of many people who collected that 200x line then. I didn't get into those figures until 10 years later on ebay. But but I found the Classics and that was it for me! I have most of that collection. I never thought I would collect the Más or Origins years later. All of these lines bring something with the core characters and new stuff as well. But it's not a shock to see the Core Characters from The Vintage, animation or 200x remastered again in lines like the Masterverse or Origins. Again it's mix for fans and newer people coming in. Many fans like to see the old school characters remastered or certain variants. Other fans or collectors just want all new stuff and no variants. So its difficult for a company like Mattel to make everyone happy and of coarse make a fair profit! After all they ate a business and want to make as much money possible for the company and shareholders. The thing is we don't live in the 80s no more were making a brand like Motu was very cheap to manufacture and distribute for a company like Mattel and The Motu brand was a billion dollar franchise. Today that brand is no where close to those number. You see those figures sitting on the Pegs in Wallmarts and Targets always on clearance. The kids aren't really in to the brand and there is only so many collectors. Most stuff we just get online or all the cool figures are never found in most stores from what I have seen and the comments I get. It varies! Inflation, Manufacturing, Tooling, Marketing and Distribution is extremely expensive today on toys. The Origins Mantenna for example was probably $100000 dollars in Tooling costs for that figure. So you see why Mattel keeps pushing out Repaits or variants with minimal tooling. Maybe a new head, armor and accessories. That is very cheap compared to a whole new figure. So Variants that can sell make costs back and allows the company to use a budget now to retool a whole new figure. That's why we only see one new tooled figure in each wave. Anyway I don't feel the Origins line is gonna end this year. I do think the sales are gonna transition more to online and Mattel Creations.

I'm not a massive fan of this version of Skeletor. The colours seem a little too varied.
Thanks for checking the review out! Many of the Origins have varied or bright colors to me. The vintage and 200x had much darker and better matching colors. It depends on the figure. I can see this skeletor being a easy pass for some people and interesting to others.
OMG- the 200x Battle Armors were all so Ugly- even the Origins ones look bad. Will be the First He-Man & Skeletor from Origins that I won't be getting.
Thanks for checking out the video and sharing your honest thoughts on this figure!
Serpentor
👍
I want to Thank you for always taking time for your fans in communication, it helps alot .
Yes, I had a hard time spelling Serpentor. ngg
@@anniesapp906 No problem! I want to also thank people like your self and all the fans for your support and interests in my content👍😁
@@anniesapp906 No problem! I looked it up and knew right away who you were talking about! I'm surprised I didn't put that together with that Gi character. I was familiar with him as a kid.
I was ALL IN on 200X back in 2003-2004. But Snake Armor Skeletor was a bridge too far. They were non stop pumping out stupid He-Man and Skele variants, and I simply refused to buy in. Still one of the silliest designs from 200X, IMO. lol.
Well I loved all the wacky 200X variants and repaints lol. 😁
@@321snaggle Yeah many of us always liked those repaint variants. That's what made the Vintage MOTU He-man and Skeletor figures so cool!👍
