Didnt even know the BvS figures were being made. I need these figures so bad. So glad they made a BvS doomsday to go with my mettle dc multiverse BvS figures.
I like Snyder's designs for most of his interpretations but Doomsday was definitely his worst. Looks like their version of the Abomination from the Hulk movie. I don't know why they didn't just go for something closer to the comics with big spikes all over. As Superman says in the Snyder Cut, not impressed with this Doomsday figure. It does feel cheap in hand. I also can't overlook that massive diaper piece. I like the wired cape on the Cavill Superman but I totally agree that they should've updated at least the face sculpt and joints. And yeah, he towers over Batfleck which is hilariously off even more so if you put in a smaller neck peg for it like I did. Only the armored Batfleck looks good standing next to him.
WB nerfed Doomsday so he wouldn't be that "scary". Same thing that happened to Steppenwolf for the 2017 version of JL. And just like I think 2017 Steppenwolf's design could still have worked as a secondary villain or lackey, I think BVS Doomsday's design works as a cool initial form of Doomsday. The concept of him transforming into a more classic spikier Doomsday just as he fought the trinity was awesome but he just didn't evolve enough to reach that point.
@@AntiLifePower I find the irony in that really funny because of how dark and grim Snyder was aiming for in his universe but big bad monsters that is supposed to look intimidating and scary needs to be toned down so it won't scare off audiences
This is not the real Doomsday but a replica (by cloning Zod) of the original. The Kryptonian ship's AI gave a brief warning when Lex is in the ship's genesis chamber: 'Advising: Action forbidden. It has been decreed by the Council of Krypton that none will ever again give life to a deformity so hateful to sight and memory. The desecration without name.' The original Doomsday, who destroyed Krypton’s moon (as shown in Man of Steel), is still out there, as confirmed by Zack Snyder himself.
@@dHuntersReviews of course that’s obvious, but they are in the same universe, Thanos and Ultron never crossed paths in the MCU but they are still in that same said universe
I feel like doomsday waa supposed to be a build-a-figure among the the four other figures that’s why he is hollow plastic like grundy for example. Does he come apart easily?
They really really REALLY need to go back and do a little recall on that Superman. What part of fixing the neck don’t you understand mcfarlane? C’mon you can do better and same goes for changing the paint by making the blue look a little more lighter since that’s kind of how it was during the day time. And maybe make another variant of him from the Whedon cut of JL with a light blue that would be nice. But at least the extra hands are good for me.
I’m baffled that people who have been collecting for over a year are still collecting these. That doomsday is barely an action figure it’s so embarrassing
i dont know if its only the camera lighting... that superman look sick. so pale he needs to go see a doctor. same with the kryptonite, it looks more of chewing gum leftover.
Not at all, man. Doomsday is a completely new mold. One of the few new molds we are getting these days from Mcfarlane. I was really expecting him to reuse parts from comic Doomsday but nope, they went all-in for this guy.
