Its a shame she doesn't run anymore. At east she is in the good hands of Jerry Jacobson and the others at the Age of Steam Roundhouse. They'll take good care of the locomotive.
I love this steam locomotive 🚂 since I went to Age Of Steam Roundhouse Museum And I saw her getting restore and I been chosen as honorary Engineer Of The 19
I grew up riding this train my grandmother took me alot. once you got close to Montague there was the train robbery this brings back alot of great memories real sad to see that the blue goose is ni longer in yreka would love to go see it at it's new home in ohio
I doubt that Yreka Western will ever operate again. Cort Hammond pulled-up all the rails and sold them and had most of the rolling stock cut-up for scrap and/or burned. We're just lucky the 19 didn't suffer the same fate. The diesel switchers they had are gone now, too (I know at least one of them was scrapped). Last time I was there, everything was abandoned.
This can't be from 2008. This must be 2007. The 19 was out of service until August of 2008. Also, the white on the sides of the ladder that run up to the running boards from the pilot beam were black in 2008 not white. Also the person doing the announcing was only around for part of the 2007 season and wasn't around in 2008.
19 is now at Age of Steam Roundhouse
RIP Yreka Western Railroad
What whistle was that on 19?
These days it is owned by the Age of Steam Roundhouse, hopefully they start operating it

Yup, anything is better than the scrappers torch.
Yup. And I was there for the auction
Why did the saftey Nazis have to close down the YWRR!? Looks like it was a beautiful railway! At least the 19 has been sold to Ohio now!
Yreka is supposed to run later in 2017 or 2018 under new ownership. Only change is no steam
