I think a scientist is a great career to start with in a Legacy.
It combines gardening - that is the boost to so many skills (cooking, nectar, flower arranging) - with collecting and it brings home fantastical inventions that the whole household can benefit from.
Combining scientist with realm of magic makes for a very powerful Technomage build.
Wand in ons hand, Simray in the other. Now dual-wield your power!
the scientist career is one of my favorites bc of the freeze ray and the wormhole generator 😊
Haha I love freezing sims with it! Sometimes I have a sim enter the science career just to get it and then quit :p.
I like to make ice cream with it... jk
Yeah it's really funny I luv it
Same, along with retail.
the amount of Helpful info about the day to day of this career is most appreciated. just got this pack.
Scientist is the most overpowered career in the Sims 4.
Almost everything a spellcaster can accomplish with magic, a scientist can accomplish the same with technology - and unlike spellcasters, scientists get paid an hourly wage doing what they love.
Good reasoning *cries in spellcasters simlish*
wouldn’t it be a good storyline (and more powerful) if you had an alien et researcher?
Honestly my favourite career in the whole game. SCIENCE!
This is my favorite active career.
4:40 I didn't know that! Excellent strategy right there.
2024 here. This career is a lifesaver for the gemology skill.
You are right on with this. I have gone back to play after I purchased Crystal Creations. Now I don't have to go all looking for material to use. Literally a game changer !
I was just wondering if this would help with gems. I'm now off to make my sim a scientist 😊
How do I get my sims to work on the rocket? It’s saying let him work for 10 minutes but it’s not letting me press the rocket pad
I’m having this same problem did you figure it out?
@@TheMurdaaMook I haven’t figured it out but my kid did a school project and made a rocket and now he can start building a rocket it said so ima see if he does it could he make a rocket too
The rocket pad was broken after cottage living. Sims were unable to build the rocket. This was fixed recently
You build it at work
Where can I get basil to make the red hot pls can someone answer?!
Go to your phone and go to buy gifts then buy an herb packet then go to your inventory and open the herb packet and u should have some basil
@@kenzicake3696 omg tysm!
@@kenzicake3696 what abt the rose serum?
@@onlyyvae go to your phone and go to purchase gifts and scroll until u see rose🌹 it should be $144.00 or something
@@kenzicake3696 tysm :)
How do you get alien crystals and xenopetrium?
Am i the only thug that plays this?
No
Nah
Nah
No
We all watched a female build her avatar and fell down this wormhole 🤦🏿♂️
When do the work events start? I just invented the cloning machine and haven’t had one yet.
I'm pretty sure they can start from the stage you are at now (and even a bit earlier) but they are very random. When they happen you're notified at the very start of the work day... the game will pause and you'll get a text box... they won't happen half way through the day or anything. Sorry I hope that was helpful!
Petey Plays It Okay awesome thank you!
How do you get common metal
If you're in the career then there are rocks outside the main building that you can dig up for them. Alternatively you can ask a co worker for a metal :).
Chemical analysis sometimes yields extra metals and/or gems.
This is literally what kids think when they say they want to be a scientist
Thats why it's so cool 🧪
Anyone know how to make the rose serum? I found a rose plant but there is no harvest option. I can only take a sample or uproot the plant.
You can buy a rose through your sims phone using the purchase gift option
@@milliedring1457I think that’s with an extension pack because base game does not have that
That's due to it being out of season. If you move it inside or cover it with a green house, once it's fully grown outside, it will then produce fruit ✌️
My only issue the invention constructor does have the tasks I need to select. I’m not sure how to fix it.
I had this issue too . After you make a new invention, grab it and move it to your inventory. Then you can use the machine again.
@@trinityvicente8916 can you use the machine at any level in the career?? I cant do any of the tasks that requires it.. and is doing poorly
Can someone explain how to use the invention constructor
No
You click on it and you Invent stuff. Hope that helps.
Anyone has any suggestions on what to do in university (new pack) if i wanna be a scientist?
Sorry I'm late to the party, but the different university degrees have bonuses for different careers. I'm pretty sure a Biology degree is the one that boosts the Scientist career, but I could be wrong. (Edit: I think it's actually a Physics degree that boosts the Scientist career.) The game will tell you which careers the degree will give your Sim bonuses for when you sign up for the degree.
For any science-related degree, you'll get better career bonuses if you pursue a distinguished degree from Foxbury University. To do that, have your Sim gain a few levels in science-y skills like Logic before you apply for a degree.
You can also get better career bonuses by graduating with honors, which you get by doing really well on your schoolwork.
A couple more general tips for Discover University: If your degree doesn't offer classes that boost the Research and Debate Skill, take a Research and Debate elective whenever you can. Very useful skill for your Sims' university work. Also, don't ignore the extracurricular organizations; depending on which organization you're in and which degree you're taking, reaching level 2 of the organization might give you a boost to your schoolwork performance.
Where is the momentum conserver and rocket???
Nvm
I hate the satelite, i had to call aliens on it once, then my dude got kidnapped, and got pregnant, male sim by the way!
Does anyone know the shortest amount of time it takes to reach level 10 in the scientist career? My Sim just aged up to an adult and he is only at level 2. I’m wondering if he can complete the career before he dies on a normal lifespan without cheats.
Getting the breakthroughs is great cause it speeds up the bar so much, leave a item with the focused moodlet effect near your sims go to activity at home plus one near the stove. I find that helps cause no matter what I’m doing wether it’s feeding him or whatever he focused, I’ve gotten all the possible breakthroughs the day I got the promotion on a geek who I got to write books a lot.
I think it’s impossible to get to lvl 10 before elder when you’re playing on normal. I was planning to make a save file to accomplish many things from a single sim (starting from young adult). That aging serum will make everything so much easier since essentialy I can make my sim stay forever young. That dream goes down the drain I guess.
Somehting funny I became a boss and got a army and a sim gun and I destroyed the world
Does this require the get to work pack
Yes
I hate this mode I can’t work a good day at all apparently lol
How do I level up my sinctis
How the hell do I get elements???
Bailey :), I have a collection guide on them which will hopefully help with collecting them: ua-cam.com/video/-VoGMh7erFE/v-deo.html
Omg I can stay late
i cant find the microscope
