Pittrap somehow kills Oswald off screen and trapped him in the ball pit as revenge for what he did to him. . into the pit and return to the pit happen inside the ballpit. Oswald is liberated when Jake does his thing I guess ( the stitchwraith in into the pit game can be explained by Oswald potentially having future vision and if this explanation for the loop, the true then it’s Oswald, seeing the future of who will save him)
I consider all books canon with very few elements deemed as non-canon. Obviously no story is gonna fit 1:1 or be a perfect lore dump. Whether game, book or movie, they're made with the fan AND general audience in mind. A book that's a 50 page explanation of the entire lore is probably going to end up starting WW3 given how horrible and confusing of an idea that'd be for any unfortunate person buying what they'd believe is a Goosebumps-style book. For stuff like the ITP games, the repeated ideas of: kid enters ballpit, ballpit contains memories and feelings of tragic event - all forming an exaggerated replication of it, kid has to balance life and death (in more ways than one) to save their dad, kid escapes and seems to defeat monster are all clearly defined, happened, regardless of continuity. Ideas of other FF characters, motifs, etc are all also likely canon given they obviously appear in the original and the games. I genuinely find it funny some people rule out entire sections of fnaf media as non-canon because "oh it's weird"...like bruh, Faz-Goo isn't gonna change the lore massively, it's just a fun goosebumps story showing the spread of fazbear entertainment and how they're likely evil outside of Afton. Plus, FNaF World is canon (as a "good" flip of UCN, but still)

The reason why people like me didn't want to accept Fazbear Frights as Canon to the Games was because the MCI was completely different in Into the Pit than the Games describe it. Add to that Count The Ways with broken old Funtime Freddy what should be impossible and that's why we decided that it was a different universe since the first book. If Scott really wanted to make Into the Pit Story fit into the timeline I would make the events of the MCI accurate to the information from the Games and layout of Jeff's Pizza accurate to FNaF1. Oswald could befriend MCI victims. We would actually meet their Game Counterparts and learn more about them. Oswald discovering their were murdered would have a greater impact on him. But no instead we get incosistent mess of a timeline. None of the versions of the Into the Pit Story is accurate to the Games. I'll see about the Interactive Novel but I doubt it.

Novel-wise, it looks like she is, but it also looks like in most canons now, Cassidy is a spirit that inserts themself into memories where they don't belong. Also, if time travel ends up being 100% canon, then the MCI number means nothing, because any time traveler could end up being an extra victim at any point.
My problem with Andrew being canon is that it makes Cassidy irrelevant in the story. Why was there a big mystery behind the name of golden Freddy if it was just revealed to be Andrew later? This argument can be bypassed if you believe that Cassidy is the crying child’s name, but I am a believer of his name being Dave. So I guess my question is what is significance of Cassidy if she is not the vengeful spirit?
She's the final piece of Happiest Day that refuses to move on until OMC tells her to in UCN. She's the one who helps BV put himself back together. She's the leader of the group, the one who KNOWS shes a person, not a character. And she wants William dead. Andrew wants Afton alive, to suffer. Hence "Leave the demon to his demons. Rest your own soul for now"
