Instead Lindor saves Diaz’s bacon and saves the entire Mets fanbase. Now we can relax and prepare for the playoffs.

I think that happened earlier in the season too with another pitcher. One thing I hope the Mets tighten up on is the fundamentals. That's something Buck was really good with, and it showed his first season.
I think Ron Darling said somewhere that if Lindor gets the Mets to the post-season, he should be MVP. Lindor literally got the Mets into the post-season. MVP!

I was driving from Burlington, VT to New Haven, CT monitoring the score on the ESPN app. I thought I was gonna drive off the road a few times. Insane game. LFGM.
The 8th and 9th innings were 2 of the most exciting innings I've ever watched this team play. The old Mets fan in me thought when the Braves came back, that was it...but the new Mets fan in me wasn't even remotely surprised when Lindor hit is homerun. This team just does not quit.
He was upset with himself for what happened in the 8th. He takes poor performances and loses very personally. It was more of a "puneeeeta Boricua moment".
He shouldn't be put in with runners on base anymore. He's a totally different pitcher when thats the case since he usually always puts the first guy on anyways Mendy has to learn that if he's gonna give him 2 innings, he has to put him in the start the 8th. No time to get cute anymore. Either trust Maton or give it to Diaz right out of the gate.
That's how you SHOULD clinch a playoff spot. Earn it on the field, on the road, back to back days, against 2 fellow playoff teams. Well done to the Mets.
