Doing this job right now with a combination of the CT raceworx bombproof, boxed lower a-arms and SuperATV lower frame stiffener with CT raceworx shock tower kit. Doing it solo and did not remove diff/axles, but I did have to cut off the front a-arm bolts on the bottoms and also on the passenger upper due to smartlock. When installing, using the CT raceplate the lower front bolts go in reversed, and I'm doing the same for the top making install a little easier. No doubt a puzzle! Oh one advantage of the SATV lower frame stiffener is it gets rid of the oem lower rear studs tied together. I did have to cut a little square access hole behind the bolts to get them out, and used a chisel to take the rivets clean off with a hammer. Easy. The SATV uses individual bolts so you can install the lower a-arms normally and slide the bolt through one at a time. The front bumper with all the bolts facing inward is a pain to do solo though.
I did this exact job by myself last year and couldn’t even put into words for my buddy’s what a pain in the ass it is.. now I can just send this video lol
Sorry to hear about the back getting thrown out! Quick questions, did you notice the X3’s front end starting to “wallow out” the bolt holes? Hopefully will run into you guys in the trails, happy riding from Illinois!
Badland winches are actually very nice for the price. I have the 3500 on mine for plowing. Never let me down. I know a lot of towing guys that have the big ones on their flatbeds.
Nice upgrades. Will help your car last longer, for sure. The next thing you should add to your car, and my favorite upgrade, is a steering rack brace. I recommend a Sandcraft. I have a Hess brace on my 2018 X3 and a Sandcraft on my 2022 XRS SS. It is the best design on the market and comes with excellent upgraded tie rods. Add Shock Therapy bump steer correction spacers and It improves the steering tremendously. It is an upgrade you can feel right away and will last the life of the car. Good luck!
Looking badass🤘🏼🤘🏼. You can use a chisel punch and smack those rivets out for those back bolts. You need a Hess rack support and the steering flag jack it up and look at all the play in the rack.
Too late now but a quick tip. The rear lower a-arm bolts are held by a small tab, cut the tab and you can easily pull the bolts back to make things much easier
Same kit on mine. Lower rear mounts suck. Wish was alternative design. If bend an arm, its a nightmare. If had a bolt system vs stud, could simply remove just arm. CT radiator brace is nice. My RC winch bumper worked well with kit also.
Why do your videos constantly switch back and forth from 480p to 2160p? Do you use different formats on different cameras? Love your content fellas, but that is annoying as hell .. it's the only channel I watch that does this
I’ve owned both, and cam am is by far the worse off for maintaining. No question. Never again. I get that they are capable, but shit replacing a arms sucks. Changing oil sucks. You NEED to brace the front end. Plastic shock tower is a joke
I’ve had 4 can ams and again lol, I’d rather replace an an arm which I’ve never had to do on my cars but I’ve had to do on others in the Dunes. It’s actually simple. Changing the oil is simple and adding a bulkhead to the front of the car is something I wouldn’t want to tackle but I’ve had done to every single car. It’s a 600 dollar job. Much cheaper than buying a belt every dune trip because you know one is gonna blow, replacing a weak stock cage and blown transmissions in the turbo s. I’ve had multiple buddies do that. A bulkhead which costs 650 from ct race worx, A $60 oil change and $150 arm is not that big of a deal. Also, I don’t want to catch my car on fire. There are skeletons of rzr’s all over the dunes from cars that have burnt down. One guy died on Halloween because of it. Only because the car flipped. No thanks

Koh is gonna be wild af!!! Have fun Zack! Nick hope your back gets better, dude!

DD for ever ! 🇺🇲🇨🇵🇺🇲
What did you put at the end of the Milwaukee air compressor to be able to blow air?
I dont think i would rag on it too much Zack at least you guys were able to do it all right there in your garage... where is the Pro R lol
Will the frame break if everything else is bulletproof? something has to give.
The shock tower and bulk head is something that everyone does, it’s a frame stiffener which just makes sure the frame doesn’t get bent
Sorry to hear about the back getting thrown out!

Just catching up boys! Gonna be a good Sunday.

Nick!! Dude, sorry to hear about you're back, try 15-minute ice pack, 15min heat, then a Biofreeze patch. 💪
Drill the rivets and the bolts come out.Makes it a one man job .
This 100%

The vice had me dying laughing

Damn did I see greas fittings wow that's nice
If you remove the front skid plate you can drill the rivets for the bracket that holds the lower bolts in. Makes it way easier to service
Watched and video Timmie Camron test those a-arms .. straight beef 🥩
Awesome video!
They make a smart spool for the front differential to make it more reliable
Rather tweak the a arms than the frame. Sometimes building in a weak link is for a reason. Never owned a can am but they are cool cars
The bad thing is, the bolts will wallow out the frame.
I hope nick gets feeling better soon that shit sucks
Heyo new DD video!!
We need a Pro R update video!!
Nice
put a good winch on the front and put that little winch on the back
Is nick planning on putting AA boost control box on the x3?
Yup 👍🏻
@@dirtdudes awesome! I'm interested to see how he likes it!
My 5k badlands lasted 4 years beat to crap the 2500 lasted one ride couldn't even pull myself on the trailer.
It'll blow the bearings quick
Just put a sandcraft rack brace on it

Lol its not that bad
I think it's funny to get a machine that's 30000 and then spend another 10000 on parts
Where’s Lauren?
Not warn they usa
get the 5500 nick.....cmon
Just buy a Polaris
So he can catch on fire and blow belts and trannys…. I’d rather buy a gusset kit then be crawling out of an inferno
Why…so he can catch on fire, blow belts, and transmissions left and right? I’d rather buy a bulkhead then be crawling out of an inferno.
