Halsey's flag flew from CA 36 a great amount of the time.
I think Ozawa goes best on Harugamo line because of the additional torp reload for those of us who are terrible at cvs...
I could see that, especially with Fuchida and Tamon available
Have to add a few notes here:
1) For Louisiana line, you are still a BB, so pick APCS over dauntless dive any day of the week. Pick someone like Oldendorf over Valkyrie: Evening Breeze.
2) William Sims can be put on Saipan(I mean why wouldn't you? kekw), similar to Ozawa being more of a hybrid commander(and if you're filthy enough, you can put Sims on FdR as well).

I’ve got Halsey on the Des Moines line (currently Baltimore) because I don’t have Kinkaid but do have Miller. Also on Massachusetts & Monaghan (but not Somers because torpedo reload is too slow to really use another). I’ve seen a few people say he’s really good on the Des Moines.
I don’t have any British legendary commanders, so am running Tovey on the Minotaur line (currently Edinburgh) to make their AP-only guns a bit punchier, and Rodney on the Incomparable for the repair kit cooldown with the extra repair kit, and the horizontal protection because I find it burns easily (although a little sad about not having citadel strike for those guns). I have Fisher on the Indomitable for the fire & flooding resistance which helps if the enemy CV comes for me - I didn’t know about the Nelson’s extra earning power.
Halsey on DM is a great pick.
Tovey helps so much so good pick as well. On Nelson, enjoy the extra credits!

Interesting! I hadn't thought of using Fisher on Nelson - was clearly missing a trick there, thanks! Don't have many USN special commanders, just halsey and d miller. just a minor point, why specify halsey on cleveland, in particular?
He reduces reload on all guns and torpedos so for me, acl Cleveland can benefit big time from it. But Buffalo works as well or anything with loads of guns

Halsey was never a carrier commander, he actually didn't like carriers. He was a fleet commander and his flagship was a carrier. FYI.
Everything I read about him, he still should have been a CV commander in the game with how much he was on Carriers.
But yeah, he didn't like them but his current abilities don't match anything for his history either. 🤷

@Slai47, I would agree with you Halsey was a Carrier commander and he even learned to fly and received his wings, but the commander we have in our game is more young Halsey when he served on bbs and dds.
