A bit of a different video today sharing my new car! Happy to share more videos like this, depends of course on how this is received. Very enjoyable to just go for a ride and talk car design. Probably need to invest in a better mic though lol. Regardless, thanks for watching and sketch on!
A nice "little" car you have bought! I think the countryman is one of the few cars (like the Jimny) that really looks good because it's a bit boxy. It's just adorable in my opinion ^^
Please do a redesign of the mini electric especially the grill much like the 'real' looking grill on the Mach e GT. I think that would enhance the looks of it a lot. Currently it looks like a toy. That flat grill is just meh...
I’ve had my 2012 Clubman S for 8 years and it’s been a surprisingly great ownership experience - very few headaches and all of them were in the first 3 years (knocks on wood). Congrats and I hope the CM treats you just as well!
Just be sure to replace (not flush) your transmission oil at around 80-85K miles and do the timing chain kit replacement at around 95k-105k miles. Also, as this is a DFI engine...change the oil (5W30 full synthetic) every 5000 miles. The turbo four bangers need CLEAN oil. You'll avoid major repairs with some planned maintenance. Do it before it becomes an issue. I have had excellent experiences with our Mini's ('08 R55S, '12 R60 JCW All 4) by following these simple truths. I also run Seafoam at least once a year on the dirty side of the valve cover intake AND also once a year a Dixie cup amount of Seafoam in the engine oil about 300 miles (mileage on full tank of gas/ equivalent) before an oil change. Lastly, fuel injector cleaner or Seafoam (8oz) in the gas tank at least once a year to keep the fuel injectors clean. All together, these treatments consume a can of liquid Seafoam.
If you drive an automatic Mini you're not getting the full Mini experience. I've driven 2 different Minis in the last 20 years and I'm buying a countyman S all4 right now. Its also a great looking car that doesn't look like the usual carbon copy you see from nearly every other brand.
Mini is a really underrated car Brand. My friend is a Mini Tuner and drives an R56 JCW. That thing slaps just as the R53 with the supercharger. Really fun cars with a good amount of tuning potential.

@@bolders9112 never heard a more true statement, especially seeing as in the UK they are rated as the least reliable new cars. Friend of mine bought one (to me and his brother's dismay after we warned him heavily) and it broke down the day it arrived.
Any other Mini owner that knows that car would think it's aftermarket HOWEVER one of the great things about Mini is that it's up to the owner's taste. I personally wouldn't care for the Union Jack lights on any of our Minis that didn't come with them except for possibly our 2 door JCW where the Union Jack lights were introduced as standard in the following year - and then I'd only go for an OEM set (which are about $150 more than aftermarket for the set). Again, to each their own.
@@cillian.murphy I agree - the R60 tail lights would look odd with the Union Jack - they're too tall to look right (IMO). on the other hand customizing your Mini is what it's all about...

Nice looking new car, congratulations.
Great choice, I had one for a loan car while my BMW was getting serviced. Loved it and it's quirkiness. I could have easily kept it over my current car. Congratulations, look forward to more videos like this too 😁
For Bluetooth on a mini, check to see if you have an 3.5mm AUX connection in your console tray. Plug in a BT 5.2 dongle receiver ($10) with its male 3.5mm jack and then pair that receiver/dongle with phone. This will pump your phone's music into your car system via this aux input.
I have arrived 2014 mini Cooper countryman. I LOVE my mini, it’s honestly an amazing car. I’m from Miami, and having that car which would fit in any parking spot is amazing
For audio issue, coming from fellow Mini owner: instead of the AUX cable and plugging it in everytime you can get some Bluetooth adapter that you plug into AUX and other end into USB (preferably in the glovebox so it is hidden) and you can have your phone with BT turned on all the time and launch eg. Spotify when you enter the car and play music automatically and wirelessly. Easy and cheap solution. :) Congrats on purchuase and good luck with the 1.6 as it can cause issues...
