The screaming sound is a dry bushing. The factory doesn’t oil the busing during assembly. The bushing is an oilite bushing, which means the bushing is impregnated with oil. As it heats up it sweats the oil and self lubricates.
All you do is push the edger forward with the wheel on the concrete, if you pull it back the dirt will clog it up because of how the blade spins (ps the blade does scrape, it’s fine for it to scrape)
I love Tylers videos cause it's like he says how can I incorporate my life into a video, like this one. I imagine him saying 'Oh my grass needs trimming.... lets buy a trimmer and make it a vid' and doesnt even matter what the content is I'm here for it, top 3 best UA-cam channels.
@@jessicastarmer2974 If it was for content similar to Tylers Channel I'd go with How Ridiculous and Mrwhosetheboss, if it was overall I like the Explore With Us Crime documentaries and probably Captain Eggcelent channel or VaatVidya. Tylers always the channel I look forward to uploads every Saturday though so he definitely trumps them all in that regard.
@dylanjohnson304 yea honestly now that I'm thinking about it, he hasn't posted any content about it much so yea he can't touch anything of mine at all lmao
Only trim in the direction the head & string spin. It will throw the trimmings back into the lawn towards you so you don't get it all over cement, rocks, mulch, or flower beds.
Love the way you think… I have an adapter for brush cutting… when put together it is a skill saw attached to it. Same size blade as a standard saw uses.
That screeching noise is probably something loose on the cutting end that moves when it shouldn't as you use it, that's why it stops and then comes back again, check to see what's wrong with it and if you can fix it.
The sound is definitely part of flex shaft mechanism binding. Either it hasn’t been locked, greased or was improperly braced. 100% warranty or send it back
That screeching sound may be caused by the inner drive shaft rubbing against the inner shaft tube as the manufacturer did not put grease in the shaft tube during assembly it is an easy fix by removing the gear head grease the shaft and inner tube and reinstall the gear head.
We bought a Dewalt Battery weed eater last year, it folds for transport. It's off balance and not long enough. Good for 3 uses then I forget to charge it. Getting rid of it and buying a gas powered one next. Thanks Tyler for the fun
Tylers neighbors: Honey, Tyler is landscaping with the cameras out again. Is he using the machete? No, but he had a 10 foot weed whacker. Ok, we better move away from the windows.
This is fantastic 😂 just walk out and start weed whacking with a 8 to 10ft weed eater the looks from his neighbors would be video worthy on its own 😂 I Love this dude 😆 😂
I was just wondering what his neighbors think of all the weird sounds coming from his yard. Don't mind me, just doing weird shit for my UA-cam channel. XD
just started the vid, i used my m18 weedeater today. mine doesn't make that noise but definitely vibrates alot, i chalk it up to the POWA. That being said its a heavy unit, idk if you touch on that. i had the ryobi weedeater with edger wheel, man i loved that unit, light, battery efficient, just had no beans. the Milwaukee eats my asphalt if im not careful.
The extension pole is for the hedge trimmer. Easier to cut top of hedges. Should be able to tilt the trim head as well. Love your videos, keep up the good work.
So I have this trimmer and it goes through a battery quick and I also have the blower. Mine does not make that sound that yours is making. I think it works really good just the battery doesn't last. And if you use the edger attachment it'll drain a battery in no time.
You think you could test insect repellent? I mean yea you would have to sacrifice your arm with bites, but its content!! You could also do environmental/airborn (thermocell) repellants if you can get to a heavy bug area.
The squealing sound sounds like the angled gear box that the weedeater head attaches to needs greased the little bolt on the side comes out and you fill it with grease
sixtyfiveford has a multi tool weed eater that is 17ft with the pole saw attachment on it. i would say yours is pretty tiny compared to his. my biggest dislike to these Milwaukee machines is their machines only work with their attachments and the attachments are not very cheap. it is part of why i like the connector like ryobi expand it uses. you can even use stihl kombi tools with the expand it style connector if you pop the plastic insert out that locks them in and prevents them from turning in the kombi system. they can possibly rotate if you don't tighten them enough but i haven't had any issue yet.
I have always wondered what your neighbors would think if you didn't have the fence around your yard lol! this time they just see an 8ft tall weed eater! thanks for the great videos!! can't wait to see the new one you put out!
Dude you have a really messed one. Mine has never sounded like that EVER and it gets used daily 5-7 hours each day for the last year. Only actually problem with the Milwaukee is that it over heats and melts battery’s but that’s not even a issue for anyone .
that screeching is most likely something out of balance scraping, or maybe a clutch? idk, i heard that on cars in the steering wheel and it was always a pain in the ass gasket...common on early 2000s nissans.
I thought you were going to take the guard off of the end of the weed eater. Then it would allow you to have 4 foot of line coming out the end and you could cover so much ground haha
i had a old craftmen battery powered weed eater man i had to charge that thing every time when I got half way through the yard and I also had a electric blower and same problem would not last through the whole yard.
Once Tyler gets his backyard all manicured, I hope he has a sunscreen comparison video where he lays out in the backyard with different manufacturers sunscreen products..
Grist time using an edger that pretty good dude. Great video and content. I'm a huge fan of Milwaukee but like anything you buy they have a lemon in each bunch.
This man has an incredible business model. He gets paid to let us watch him do yard work on his own home.
Don't forget he gets to write off all the tools he buys on his taxes too since he used them in his business (UA-cam). He's got it made 😊
Haha, I love it
He's found a way to try out all the toys he wants to and get paid for it. We're just watching a man live out his dreams. Haha.
Motto
I feel like I'm constantly doing yard work, would be great if I got some payment for it haha
The screaming sound is a dry bushing. The factory doesn’t oil the busing during assembly. The bushing is an oilite bushing, which means the bushing is impregnated with oil. As it heats up it sweats the oil and self lubricates.
Yepper, sounds good in theory, however this tool is a residential throwaway unit anyway.
this is not true, i have the exact same weed eater and mine never made that sound.
@@joshuafiss9750 This sound is a dry bushing noise. If yours doesn't make it, consider it's lubricated.
@@NY411Infoain't no one throwing away a 700$ string trimmer
@@bread-gz3rl lol, everything built today is throw away. Especially battery powered equipment.
Must buy more extensions!!!! Weed eat the whole yard while standing in the center 😂
Yes this needs to happen
Just spin in a circle and remove attachments as the circle narrows 😂
All you do is push the edger forward with the wheel on the concrete, if you pull it back the dirt will clog it up because of how the blade spins (ps the blade does scrape, it’s fine for it to scrape)
I litterly heard the tree scream "noooooooo" when it saw Tyler coming towards it with that tree trimmer 😂

Tyler looks like he has never done yard work in his life. He scared me with his weed eater skills.😨
Bro is actually terrible. 100% would never let him touch anything of mine but my truck
@@NateForrest I like the guy but I don't think Id let him touch my truck not really sure on that whole "diesel mechanic" thing.
@dylanjohnson304 yea honestly now that I'm thinking about it, he hasn't posted any content about it much so yea he can't touch anything of mine at all lmao
I’ve had mine for 2 years and use it almost on a daily basis and never made any noise like that.
Only trim in the direction the head & string spin. It will throw the trimmings back into the lawn towards you so you don't get it all over cement, rocks, mulch, or flower beds.

Home defense: Weed Eater vs Pole Saw
that's actually pretty genius... useful, terrifying, and totally legal
Yes the all new 15ft pole saw gun attachment for cqc 😂
Love the way you think… I have an adapter for brush cutting… when put together it is a skill saw attached to it. Same size blade as a standard saw uses.
I'm a grown man watching another grown man cutting grass. And I like it.
Legend, has it Tyler is still holding that weedeater till this day
Well I mean it is the same day that he uploaded so that only makes sense... 😅
Yes while eating a pickle
It's Tyler. He either got a defective gear, or messed the thing up before he showed it to us. Lol
That screeching noise is probably something loose on the cutting end that moves when it shouldn't as you use it, that's why it stops and then comes back again, check to see what's wrong with it and if you can fix it.
we gotta see 5 extenders all attatched to it now lol
This was horrifying to watch haha, I can’t wait for the comparison video! Great channel :)
Nice to see you actually put on shoes that cover your toes for this! I mean you are still wearing shorts to weed eat in but it’s the small things lol!
I work for a school district. And it's been very muggy where I am..swamp ass is a real thing. Short help
The extended weed wacker at the end would be a great Zombie Apocalypse weapon.
The weed eater with the extension is for when you need to do your neighbors yard from your own yard lol
Just bought the Milwaukee weed eater last week. Pretty sure it has more torque then my zero turn 😂. But mine does not make that noise
The sound is definitely part of flex shaft mechanism binding. Either it hasn’t been locked, greased or was improperly braced. 100% warranty or send it back
Love watching this man just being a man
That screeching sound may be caused by the inner drive shaft rubbing against the inner shaft tube as the manufacturer did not put grease in the shaft tube during assembly it is an easy fix by removing the gear head grease the shaft and inner tube and reinstall the gear head.
Never in my life have I heard it be called a weed eater
I've always called them that, because that was the brand name of the first one my family ever had.
The extensions are great for limbing trees using the mini chain saw attachment
We bought a Dewalt Battery weed eater last year, it folds for transport. It's off balance and not long enough. Good for 3 uses then I forget to charge it. Getting rid of it and buying a gas powered one next. Thanks Tyler for the fun
That motor sounds like she ain't gonna chooch for long
Extra long weed eater good for trimming around a pond, you can reach out further into the water.
You can weed eat your neighbors yard with the extension you could do it over a fence for those neighbors who just never mow ever 🤣🤣
I've found if you're a good weed eater you don't need a long one to get the job done.
Tylers neighbors:
Honey, Tyler is landscaping with the cameras out again.
Is he using the machete?
No, but he had a 10 foot weed whacker.
Ok, we better move away from the windows.
2:05 thats the weed eater string spining quickly so it makes that noise.
edit: it also will only make the noise at certain rpm
1:34 yea indeed it sounds weird, it sounds like unreliable electric bullsh1t, ima sticks with my gasoline powered weedwacker 😂
That was the most chaotic weedeating I've ever seen 😂😂😂
you gotta test how much extenders you can put on it and have it still work
“Tyler does his yard work for views”

The extension pole is for the hedge trimmer. Easier to cut top of hedges. Should be able to tilt the trim head as well.
Love your videos, keep up the good work.
Using cutting tools near the extension cord (especially wonky super long extended versions) made me nervous for him. 😂
Trimmer heads have grease and a grease port in them I bet it was the grease not fully distributed inside the housing(the sound it was making)
Get at least 3 more extensions. See how long it can get and still work
So I have this trimmer and it goes through a battery quick and I also have the blower.
Mine does not make that sound that yours is making. I think it works really good just the battery doesn't last. And if you use the edger attachment it'll drain a battery in no time.
I could see a great use for the long weedeater it would be perfect for around ponds and down by rivers
You think you could test insect repellent? I mean yea you would have to sacrifice your arm with bites, but its content!! You could also do environmental/airborn (thermocell) repellants if you can get to a heavy bug area.
Should attach a miter saw blade to the end and see what it can cut thru
The squealing sound sounds like the angled gear box that the weedeater head attaches to needs greased the little bolt on the side comes out and you fill it with grease

Toque generated by the electric is too much causing backlash since there is no load on the trimmer head.
I have always wondered what your neighbors would think if you didn't have the fence around your yard lol! this time they just see an 8ft tall weed eater! thanks for the great videos!! can't wait to see the new one you put out!
Me ego sounds freakin gnarly, I rev it just to hear that supercharger-esk whine
The screeching is a bad bearing inside the shaft. Definetly a factory defect
It seems to be some kind of sprocket or belt squeak. When you were in garage it definitely sounded like defected sprocket
Missed opportunity for a manscape advert.
Also... I wonder how many extensions would fit on that...
Sounds like you need to return it and get a Stihl. 🤣
I like that it is battery. Ours has a chainsaw motor and I thought the neighbors were cutting down trees.
Dude you have a really messed one. Mine has never sounded like that EVER and it gets used daily 5-7 hours each day for the last year. Only actually problem with the Milwaukee is that it over heats and melts battery’s but that’s not even a issue for anyone .
Tyler the lawn care expert
Had mine for a few months now work great. Definitely some kind of shipping damage with yours. It's now supposed to make that noise.
that screeching is most likely something out of balance scraping, or maybe a clutch? idk, i heard that on cars in the steering wheel and it was always a pain in the ass gasket...common on early 2000s nissans.
.... I just realized that i am watching Tyler weed eat his own yard...... 😂😂😂 Still watched all tho so whos the smart one really?😂
Let’s see how many you can daisy chain together. Title “ I made de world longest weed eater” “world sketchiest weed eater”
In the future humor will be randomly generated
"weed eater"
now that's funny
He should buy more extensions and see if he can get by the top of the tree and see how it works lol
It sounds like a bearing in the trimmer head is failing.
I thought you were going to take the guard off of the end of the weed eater. Then it would allow you to have 4 foot of line coming out the end and you could cover so much ground haha
I have two of the Milwaukee quick loc weed eaters, neither one makes that horrific sound
Probably a bad bearing or maube a bushing would be my guess on that noise its making.
i had a old craftmen battery powered weed eater man i had to charge that thing every time when I got half way through the yard and I also had a electric blower and same problem would not last through the whole yard.
I usually edge with the trimmer. That edger looks more like a sod cutter lol
I was just going to say about the siding...my father put holes in his the first time he tried a weed eater.
That screetchy sound sounds like a bad bearing or loose bearing. Sounds like something vibrating intensely
4:55 Tyler says "don't expect me to be a man"
that sound in the milwaulkee sounds like a bad bearing
They make the Ryobi one, which I have. The Ryobi one is a beast. I’ve torn all through my yard with it.
that extenchin is for the bush cutter.
The long extension is to get those pesky weeds that grow in the tree tops!
Maybe there is a component that needs greased? But electric stuff sounds inherently weird 1:39
We have the same trimmer, and it doesn't make that noise. You seem to have one that snuck past QC
Once Tyler gets his backyard all manicured, I hope he has a sunscreen comparison video where he lays out in the backyard with different manufacturers sunscreen products..
Almost sounds like a bearing making that noise
Mine doesn’t sound like that check the gear in the end where the quick lok attaches. Might not have enough grease
Maybe you accidentally bought a set of bagpipes?
I’m impressed he managed to edge backwards
The blade on an eager is a consumable item the will need to be replaced now and then
Grist time using an edger that pretty good dude. Great video and content. I'm a huge fan of Milwaukee but like anything you buy they have a lemon in each bunch.
That noise sounds like a bad bearing which is weird coming from Milwaukee, spray a bunch of oil on top of the head and see what happens
Guessing the extensions would be for a pole saw attachment? Just a thought. Lmao
what did i learn? tyler cant even weed eat properly
Trust in Tyler. This man is awesome.
Watching you try to dig a hole with it, only you would see that as a valuable test benchmark.
With the extension it would be great for the pond bank at my house
Can you do a video of Milwaukee vs Makita tools?
Bought my M18 Weedeater about a month ago and didn't have that issue.
don't worry, I am sure 99 percent of your audience have never even touched a weed eater.
That sounds like a bearing is gone or going because it has no grease.
never really have been a fan of cordless, they always struggle with new little trees, and sidewalk cracks.
That sounds like the brake engagement. After that bad bearing.
