      +Danny _ this guy has never taken a punch in his life, he has never stood opposite someone who is resisting his technique and inflict harm on him. He has only practised his technique on a controlled environment against a partner who does not resist the moves. A basic boxer would knock this guy out if he tried his bullshit tiger death claw techniques.

      +Danny _ In kickboxing we learn how to move in and out quickly from the back foot, so the reflect blow or grab arm thing already is bullshit as we dont commit our body to move forward in such a way. Besides that the jab is often used as an annoying punch as it stings getting it in your face a couple times. In a real fight jab jab right punch would be a more common used combo and in kickboxing, right, left, low kick. Or against someone like Jake i would just keep him at distance and annoy the shit out of him with inside and outside low kicks.

    your opponent isn't just gonna throw one pouch. there's gonna be follow ups and usually a heavy hook instead of a straight jab. so that eliminates basically everything.

    I like these moves, but what do you do against an enemy that does not know how to through a good punch. For example how would that work against a windmilling opponet?

    • @DimaWSM
      @DimaWSM 9 років тому

      +Terry Bryant Exactly what I wanted to ask. Most untrainined people tend to swing a punch from the side. By stepping outside you would actually walk right into their punch :x. Guess you have to be able to read their fighting style just from their stance or something like that to determine wether stepping to the side is an option^^

    • @armadasinterceptor2955
      @armadasinterceptor2955 9 років тому +1

      +Dimawesome That is so true, and that's why I wish he would stream full contact sparing that goes beyond theory, and on to application.

    • @thelastdon213
      @thelastdon213 8 років тому

      +Dimawesome Against a good fighter it wouldnt work either tho as you learn to move in and out from your back foot. Balance, movement and distance management, besides timing are a few basic things you learn in boxing, kickboxng, karate, taekwondo. So for someone to do a fully telegraphed punch forward and commits their full weight forward you have to be a very special kind of newbie.

    • @treynathaniel4075
      @treynathaniel4075 8 років тому

      +sympony swordsman Right. These are performed in a way that you might encounter a real threat and what they may do. A windmilling suspect isnt a threat.

    • @IgnoreMeImWrong
      @IgnoreMeImWrong 8 років тому +1

      With a windmill/Haymaker, step into their space.. grab their arm and pull down, or grab and strike their tricep/anywhere you like. Open strikes leave their entire body open to attack.
      You could also try ducking under it to the outside if you've a height advantage on the shorter side. Move behind, go for sleeper hold, pull back and fall to the ground while tightening, move your head back out of reach of possible idiot flailing.

      A good defense won't matter what leg it forward when that punch comes in. Aside from the one time he specifically kicked to the back of the knee, then other ones don't matter. While there are aspects of these defenses I'm fine with, that defense against the kick is entirely terrible. Jake tends to forget about the idea of the follow-up punch.

      jaydis19 Far more so than fake Mace. His stuff is the kind of bullshit someone might find as a prize in a cereal box. The shit he does works in movies and when your opponent is cooperative. You really shouldn't comment when you don't understand the dynamics of a real fight and how effective techniques operate.

    • @talon5747
      @talon5747 8 років тому +2

      L.A Xavier It's not s matter of how fast he moves or doesn't move you ignorant fuck. It's a matter of how effective the technique is. When you're actually trained it's easy to see who has real technique and who just watched too many movies and is a fake. If you want to wax intellectual on the subject go do some real training before you spew out your stupid comments.

    • @talon5747
      @talon5747 8 років тому +2

      L.A Xavier Just because your father understood physics doesn't mean you do. Obviously techniques are slowed down for demo purposes but only you're fixating on speed. The techniques he is showing are poor and the physics are not effective. And I know a lot about physics and fighting arts. If you know what to do you can change any technique to make it work but that's changing the technique into something else. Doing so doesn't make the original technique good. His lack of knowledge transfers over into very poor application that will only work on a cooperative opponent. You very obviously don't understand nearly as much as you claim to and it's unfortunate you're unwilling to critically look at things because you're will never get any better that way. A half empty pail makes a lot of noise.

    Not too epic. Though I would like to see more full speed demonstrations. Even when you say you're going to go full speed almost every time you still pause in the middle of the steps to completing the move. I think the viewers would get a better sense of the effectiveness in a real time situation if you literally just did it as if he was attacking you and not slowing down at all. Obviously we need to see it slow at first but at least one full speed attempt where there is no slowing down or pausing between moves should be done.

      It’s strangely compelling. The bullshit moves and the fact that he has attracted a large audience. Many people are attracted to this and other bullshit like ninjutsu. It’s an easy way to give yourself false confidence. You can train it hard, get fit and feel good about yourself. Nothing wrong with that. Problems happen when people sell it as effective self defense.

    • @everythingUTrealestate

      Your wrong. Hundred percent. That was extremely ignorant. As much as I agree these moves are bullshit. You can learn by watching videos and sparing isn't the only way to learn. Ive learned a shit load of wrestling moves by watching wrestling and I implement it into my wrestling and it works great if you practice it a few times.

      He's blocking movement, not the punch. Instead of the guy pulling another one, or trying to hit him in the head with his arm, he's locking the angle of the opponent. The other guy would need to pull away to make a secondary attack.

    I will put a challenge up to any of these yt bruce lees....let me tke a swing at you...if I hit you quit...if I miss ill never say a word against you again....this guy would get his teeth knocked in....

      @AK-ml5zd 8 років тому +1

      yeah... in a real street fight he would get killed
      nobody would just stand there waiting for this guy to hit them...

      Problem is, I'd let you connect. Because you give me an opening with that connection, at the point of impact I can break your arm, wrist, dislocate your shoulder, or even throw you to the ground and do any of the previous.
      The problem is that *street fighters* don't know how to actually fight.. You're Street fighters ffs. Considering this video demo's like what? four of literally thousands of jutsu.. you think you know something.. You *don't*.

      I love how all these morons come and talk like they know everything about fighting and try to sound all tough. When in reality they sound like (and probably are) wimpy teenage brats who think they can take anyone one when they'd be owned in two seconds.

      ***** I never said i can take everyone in a fight man...
      i am not Bruce Lee or some shit but i know how it works at least
      in a fight you dont have time to think how you will block or punch like that guy shows in a video it just happens and you cant plan what the other person will do

    Jake I've been watching you only about a month or so and I'm addicted. I believe you are absolutely a real pro, unlike some hateful comments. I'm 50 and been practicing Qigong in earnest for a year and a half, but started in 2009. I recently started practicing Kung Fu from a book and videos for better fitness after losing 125 Lbs. Do you think 50 is to old to start Kung Fu? I can do the 5 fundamental kicks head height and almost full splits.
