- Yoyoka 11 year old drummer from Japan, outdoes herself again. This young lady comes from a family of musicians, who have taught her well. In this piece the legendary drummer from Deep Purple Ian Paice reviews her cover of Deep Purple's famous Song Burn. Featuring Ritchie Blackmore on guitar.

Ian Pace was my idol as a young drummer, does my heart good to just watch her and listen to his critique.
Seeing Ian see this makes me tear up a little. I hope he understands how much he's meant to us

I grew up recognizing Ian as one of the all time greats, to see him giving a compliment to this kid is very heart warming.
Yoyoka leaves me grinning from ear to ear; she is just amazing. Fun to see Ian comment. Classic rock will live on forever.
He genuinely seems to enjoy watching this young drummer.

Ian, i´m 63 and a HEAVY METAL fan. But i had started with you and DEEP PURPLE. Thank you. Saw you first as a 15 year old teen wtith my one year younger brother in march 23 1975 in DORTMUNDER WESTFALEN HALLE.
Ian, you said something right there that really makes sense “she’s having fun. ” When I played drums or guitar I took it so seriously to the point where I became stressed. It shouldn’t be that way, should be enjoyable.❤

Kids like Yoyoka are why I bother to get out of bed in the morning. Her joy, talent and appreciation for such a great drum piece is ecstatic. If I were Ian, I'd write her into my last Will & Testament. 😄 This made my day/week/month.

Deep purple was my first rock concert on the Strombringer tour. I had that album and a recording of Made in Japan on reel to reel and I replicated the Mule at Jr High talent show on a 6 pc set of Rogers I borrowed. i used all my drum corps rudiments and had a great time.

I have heard so many bands covering Burn and the drummers have always fouled up the drum part because they simply can’t match Ian’s swing feel. He is by far my favourite rock drummer and truly one of a kind. This is a great effort and all the miserable critics need to lighten up a bit🤘🏻
