I still don't really understand why this didn't come under the jurisdiction of the Royal Navy Police SIB, rather than civilian police. Not sure I was convinced by the reasoning in that briefing where Stephen Dillane was smirking his head off. I would have thought the incident, which wasn't thought to be murder would be covered by the Armed Forces Act. It only became a murder investigation after Silva arrived on board...
*The whole lesbian relationship was unforgivably lazy writing* Silva's spouse dies in an accident, so...she abandons her child and she starts a lesbian relationship with another female officer. Huh?!?! Do accident victims typically "go gay"? The two officers could simply be close friends. Or they could be lesbians from the start and the accident simply involved the death of Silva's female spouse. Instead, having the straight Silva start a lesbian relationship is unrealistic and utterly superfluous.
In life there isn't always a “typical” reacting. Every person is different and you never know what goes on in another person's mind. Also, there are a fair share of “close friends” movies and series. Let people enjoy some gay stuff too 😂

To the actors: lovely acting. To the characters: Please look at the road while driving. Look at the road, not at your hot girlfriend!
