the fact that listening to this literally made me realize how dark undertale can be like, imagine you’re on a walk in your neighborhood, but nobody is out. it’s dead quiet, the streets are empty. you’re wondering what’s going on until you see an area that’s just…covered in blood. body parts are everywhere, it’s sickening to look at. then you realize why it’s so empty and quiet. everyone in your city is dead. you’re the only survivor, and it’s only a matter of time before you join them. that’s the genocide route of undertale from the monsters perspective.
This would fit well for a genocide version of True Lab. It sounds even more like there's some nightmare waiting just around the corner. Except this time, you are that nightmare.
Imagine this is where alphys and the others evacuated to, and they all know theyre about to die. after youve gotten through all of them, the "But nobody came" screen is just with the amalgamates. and they just question why you went down this path, and as you try to kill them, you find out that you cant. they eventually leave, and you carry on in the game as usual.
