+Nali Singh I don't know whether "informative" or "educational purposes" is a valid defence against infringement (I would love for someone with knowledge about this to shed some light), but as for your point about them not claiming it is their own, you can still infringe on another party's copyright even if you don't claim that content as your own (e.g. if you photocopy a whole Harry Potter book without permission from the author, you are still infringing on her copyright even though you aren't claiming you wrote the book).
+AdobeExcel The best thing to do is read into the 'copyright law'. It states the edited footage can be used for informative and educational videos as long as the movie/company is clearly stated either in the video or description. That's the one UA-cam uses to avoid counterfeit strikes on channels. A UA-camr called 'HorribleReviews' as uploaded a few videos on this law due to his videos being flagged, also he adds a useful disclaimer at the start of some of this videos. I'd recommend just watching one to read his disclaimer if you're unsure on the whole process.
+AdobeExcel I think showing parts and bits of the movies are fine, and also if you look at the bottom left you will see the title of the movie, who made it and when it was made. I doubt that would cover it, but that's just what I think.
+Aaron Brookes You seem to know at least a bit of US copyright law, so I'll push my luck a little here and ask if you know whether there is a definition of what constitutes 'informative' or 'educational' in the Act. Or is that something that I'll have to glean from case law?
+Said Shamkhali I'm the same way. People are so hard on that movie while I think it was great! I know a lot went unexplained but that's the joy in it. I can't wait for part 2.
I agree, too. Knew about the "Nature will find a way line" by Jeff Malcolm, but would have NEVER connected the seat belt symbolism. Yep, mind blown, indeed!
+DAN MAN actually its a great film but the director made it so only the smartest of people would understand i had to look up 2 explanations and its actually decent
+jared davis Except Charlize Theron's death. The all the dummy had to do was take a few steps to the side and she would have lived. Dumbest death ever.
+common101sense Obviously when you were in the same situation you did take the step to the side. Very good of you to think of this when on an alien world with a huge spaceship rolling towards you. Well done! P.S. YOURS is the dumbest thing most hubris comment I have ever read.
common101sense No, just pointing out that you have never been in a similar situation but find it easy to judge others actions despite having never been in the same position. Not trying to fight, just pointing out how stupid you came across. Also you seem to have forgotten that even if she had moved to one side, lack of oxygen would have killed her so maybe she just decided to end it all after realissing people like you exist.
+AmbitiousXV I find it funny when they try to do a top 10 they know nothing about (like anime) and butcher names, story, and above all the true order of how it should have been listed
The Jurassic park one is actually amazing. Like it's not a little slight cameo of a hidden message to a previous movie or something. It's like an actual foreshadowing of the plot and is actually related to this movie. That's awesome foreshadowing
"Prometheus was the most disappointing thing since my son and while my son eventually hanged himself in the bathroom of a gas station. The unfortunate reality of the Alien prequel is it will always be around forever. It will never go away. It could never be undone." -RedLetterMedia, Mr. Plinkett-
+Abel Villa (The Cynic) If this was something written to Truth, and not just being harsh as a cynic.. Still you're going a little bit too far in this one.. You might've hurt a LOT of fathers with this line. Or a LOT of kids. Anyway, dude.. Harsh
the nazis in the desert wasnt just a thing from indiana jones. indiana jones took it from real events. the nazis were looking for artifacts in real life to prove the Aryan race was the one true race. they did in fact have archeologists doing that stuff.
+Gavin McLaurin Not going to lie, I didn't really enjoy it as much as everyone else seems to. I felt it was waay too safe of a film (probably since at the time it was a risky venture for Disney), and they could have done so much more with it; same as the first Thor. Though the sequel to Captain America didn't hold back and is one of my favorite superhero films.
Oyajitchi The first Thor movie was decent, but like you said I felt it was way too safe of a film. The Winter Soldier turned my point of view of Captain America around. I used to think he was this lame superhero who only had strength and a shield to fight. But after Winter Soldier I started to like him.
In Robocop our favorite Dutch director definitely draws parallels with the journey of The Saviour but I'm sure that Mr Verhoeven himself would not want this subtext to eclipse the story's most important message which is that Cyborg cops doing burnouts and punching bad guys through plate glass windows is super awesome.
Fun fact: Ghostface Killah was originally supposed to make a cameo in Iron Man. (The cameo can be found in the deleted scenes.) However, they still made a nod to Ghostface during the private jet flight that Tony Stark takes with Col. Rhodes. When they're drinking and watching the flight attendants dance, they've got Ghostface playing on the stereo. Tony Stark listening to Tony Stark rapping = Iron Man-ception. lol
In Captain America, The Winter Soldier, Nick Fury's (Samuel Jackson's) gravestone had a biblical quote ("The path of the righteous man... " Ezekiel 25:17) that Jackson's character recited in Pulp Fiction before killing people. Also, The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) is full of crucifixion allegory when villagers capture and imprison the Monster (Not sure if that qualifies as a hidden message).
Honestly, I think Prometheus is underrated. But I get why some people hate it. Too many questions, too few answers is probably one of the main reasons. I'm hoping the sequels will take care of that.
In the lost world Jurassic park, when the T. rex gets into the city it attacks some Japanese tourists and one screams "I left Japan to escape this!" Hinting to the Godzilla series and Godzilla 1998 coming out the next year.
I don't think I've ever seen it mentioned before, but in the original Terminator movie - Several times when the camera shows the terminator's point of view there are lines of data scrolling, indicating his thinking and analysis. It's actually 6502 machine language disassembly listings off an Apple II computer. For example one was a listing for the ROM on one of the Apple interface cards, one is part of the DOS operating system, another one has to do with a program called Key Perfect. You can see some of it as he chases Kyle and Sarah down the alley after they escape from the Tech Noir nightclub.
Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith, Anakin say, "If you're not with me, you're my enemy." Obi-wan responds with, "Only a sith deals with absolutes." The whole sequence is Lucas taking a shot at George W. Bush's "you're either with us or you're with the enemy" speech
LV_223: Leviticus 22:3 Say to them: 'For the generations to come, if any of your descendants is ceremonially unclean and yet comes near the sacred offerings that the Israelites consecrate to the LORD, that person must be cut off from my presence. I am the LORD.' Out of Astronaut slash biblical slash theological cocktail. So many references. I like!
If you pay close attention on The Matrix scene around 2:11 and 2:12 you can see that the round that Agent Smith shot Neo the bullet was completely intact when ejected from the gun.
Beatles "Yellow Submarine" when Ringo pulls a lever to a Frankenstein that turns into John Lennon. He says, he's a "born lever puller" foreshadowing/nodding that he and the band are "Liverpoolers" from "Liverpool, England"
Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies of all time and I honestly never noticed that! I always noticed that he had two female ends, but I never made any connections to the female dinosaurs! Mind Blown!
For the Prometheus one, the moon LV223 can be tracked back to the original Alien series. This is the moon from both the first and second film suggesting that this reference goes back many many years before the release of Prometheus.
Prometheus is full of references to other science fiction films I am amazed no one else spotted them at the time. One obvious example is the central character Liz Shaw a nod to Doctor Who's Elizabeth (Liz) Shaw. There are many other examples too.
More info for Promethius at 5:37 it's not just in Greek and Roman that the death of an architect seeds life, it's also in Revelation 5:6-20. The lamb that is able to open the seals of the book because it's slain. 7 seals on the book, 7 horns and 7 eyes on the lamb. They're likely seven ages of the earth. Revelation also has 7 lampstands (Gods people throughout the ages), 7 spirits of God in the hand of Jesus that rest on the lampstands (God with His people), 7 heads on the dragon (Satans work throughout the ages), and 7 mountains where the beast rules from. 5 where, one is, and one is to come indicates the age that Babylon is destroyed in, the 6th age. Though the beast and the dragon aren't destroyed yet. 7 years the king of Babylon wandered in the wilderness with the mind of a beast before he looked up to heaven and realized it is God who is Lord and his mind returned to him (Daniel 4:33-35). The letters to the seven churches at the beginning of Revelation look like a chronological history of Jesus, Gods people, and Satan throughout the seven ages including the age to come.
There is also a sort-of subliminal message in Breaking Bad, Season 3, Episode 5 at around 43:47. Jesse throws a chunk of sidewalk at the windshield of Walt's car, then the screen pans around to show "Better Call Saul!" meaning he needs a lawyer.
Y he viewers here are awesome, even though there are disagreements no one goes on rants berating one another or tossing around slurs. Just good humored jabs and fun like grown-ups. I'm inspired.
Prometheus - In one of the deleted scenes, the engineer voices words that sound as if he is calling himself "Goliath" The android in the film is named David.
The number of the crashed search and rescue ship on Miranda in "Serenity" was C57D. That was the number of the ship on "Forbidden Planet" with Leslie Nielsen back in the 50's
There is another thing about prometeus. the lv moon orbits around a saturn-like planet. If you watch the documentary "Symbols of an Alien Sky", you might get a glimpse of the design choice for the lv moon. Here is a hint: ancient religions had a tendency to use hexagons and octogons, Saturn has a hexagon-like polar storm.
Many containers in the military industrial complex are labeled: Reusable container, do not destroy. It's one of the very few ways money is saved in the military, reusing containers the garbage you got came in.
There was a scene in Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven where Orlando Bloom is looking at a battlefield diorama and there are towers similar to the towers the orc attacked Minas Tirith with, so he briefly picks one up and looks at it curiously.
This is amazing but there is one major thing no one discusses about the matrix trilogy which is insanely important. The Trilogy is based off an alternate future of the Sprawl trilogy where the Cyberspace server called "Matrix" takes over the world. In fact each character when entering the matrix takes on the form of a character from the first book Neuromance, Neo taking the the form of Henry, the protagonist of Neuromancer.
Hidden message from Pirate of the Caribbean when Depp and Knightly was stranded on an island and Knightly burns the rum to make a smoke distress signal. Then Depp says "why did you burn the rum?". The hidden message is that we shouldnt waste rum. BOOM.
On the Lost World when the T-Rex breaks the sign in San Diego, it clearly states on the sign... "No Drinks, Food, or ANIMALS Behond this Point" And technically the Tyrannosaurus is an animal, so that was a hidden message you may have missed
In 'Terminator 2' the shot of the Terminator pulling a shotgun out of a box of roses is more likely a reference to John Woo's 'The Killer,' which was released just the previous year.
The real creativity is how you guys are able to do different titles for the same list videos
I know right lol
+ikamts2 I was surprised not to see fight club here again...
+ikamts2 Made me smile
+ikamts2 The reason is, there are wery few quality movies.
It is hard to find hidden jokes or messages in an Adam Sandler comedy trash.
Guess I'm literally the only one alive who liked Prometheus
+Kenny Williams i like it as well haha

Just curious; how do you guys do these videos without infringing copyright?
It's informative & they aren't claiming it as their own.

+THIS Panda Especially 3D on Oculus Rift. I've been there. I lived it. ;)
The Jurassic Park one just made my day.
Completely blew my mind
Travro agreed. Seen that intro a million times too.
I agree, too. Knew about the "Nature will find a way line" by Jeff Malcolm, but would have NEVER connected the seat belt symbolism. Yep, mind blown, indeed!
Meant Jeff Goldblum or Ian Malcolm... didn't mean to combine actor and character names, wow (lol)!
This channel is so underrated
Don't think Prometheus is anyone's favourite movie.
Hahahahah
My man...
+DAN MAN actually its a great film but the director made it so only the smartest of people would understand i had to look up 2 explanations and its actually decent
They deleted some of the best scenes too. Shame.
I did NOT start the flame war...
Mind blown! Great research! Your channel should have millions of subscribers!
Well now they do
Prometheus is an AMAZING movie!
Yes, yes it was

+Zemmel Zem it's gonna be soooo good... like better than deepthroating my sister.
Prometheus was a steaming pile of crap. Such an insult to audiences.

i think ur talking about the big bang is fiction
of course! It is produced by the CBS network.
I think you mean "The Origin of Species" by Charles Darwin. Nearly had me laughing.
I LOVE PROMETHEUS
+jared davis Except Charlize Theron's death. The all the dummy had to do was take a few steps to the side and she would have lived. Dumbest death ever.
True
+common101sense Obviously when you were in the same situation you did take the step to the side. Very good of you to think of this when on an alien world with a huge spaceship rolling towards you.
Well done!
P.S. YOURS is the dumbest thing most hubris comment I have ever read.
Bran Tse Mallory You really trying to pick a fight, lonely?
common101sense No, just pointing out that you have never been in a similar situation but find it easy to judge others actions despite having never been in the same position.
Not trying to fight, just pointing out how stupid you came across. Also you seem to have forgotten that even if she had moved to one side, lack of oxygen would have killed her so maybe she just decided to end it all after realissing people like you exist.
That message in Jurassic Park is brilliant!
this channel is way better than watchgayjo.
+broshaman eat shit. Both are decent.
+SubGenius some of mojo's top 10 is pretty shit these days, let's be honest here
+AmbitiousXV I find it funny when they try to do a top 10 they know nothing about (like anime) and butcher names, story, and above all the true order of how it should have been listed
conner buxton nothing, it's a word deal with it.
Kieran Davis I didn't say that. You thought it, and they are just words.
So, deal with it.
Great work guys!
Do the top 10 hidden messages in The Shining. You could do 100 videos on that movie and still not find everything
The Jurassic park one is actually amazing. Like it's not a little slight cameo of a hidden message to a previous movie or something. It's like an actual foreshadowing of the plot and is actually related to this movie. That's awesome foreshadowing
I realize I'm in the extreme minority, but Prometheus is one of my favourite movies. My favourite from Ridley Scott by far.
01:48 music name? (I know the music but not the name from king of the hill at pixelgun
Am I the only one that feels like re watching ironman again?
Me too let's go to your house and watch it
Excellent SR, one of the best!!!

oney cartoons yeeaahhh
The Jurassic Park one blew my mind! That's so freaking clever!!
I don't believe for an instant that the Terminator 2 ones are intentional references to Guns N Roses.
+Boyzby Not even the scene where Arnie literarily pulls a gun out of some roses?
+Boyzby And it's people like you that still believe the "official story" of 9/11.
Blade Hunter I was talking to boyzby
The Jurassic Park one actually surprised me. Why have I never noticed that before?
Prometheus is someone's favorite movie?
Wow great video keep up the good work!!
That doesn't change the fact that promotheus is still a weird movie.
this list is all over the place, from easter eggs to metaphors to foreshadowing
I didnt know that any of these were my favourite movies
Fergus Armour rebel
Bravo! There were Easter eggs in you doc which I missed entirely! Again, bravo!

What?
Okay film professors.
Really cool. Spot on.

i was gonna saybthebsame thing
I loved the jurassic park one with the seat belts. It's such a subtle yet powerful hidden message.
But... these are not my favorite movies.
Cool video as always.
The first Captain America movie was bad...
Said no one ever
MNIMnoob I said it.

Notice at 2:11 the shell casing ejected from the gun is a blank?
This was a good video. Thought the Robocop business was stretching it a little but if the director said that then who are we to argue?
Pretty Cool!
