Hi Ian - You just reminded me - I have one of those black Fender acoustics up in it's case in a cupboard in the bedroom! I had forgotten all about it LOL. Hi Al, it seemed strange playing one………. First time for five years. Not the worlds biggest acoustic guitar fan although I own two of them. The instrumental demanded an acoustic guitar start so I gave it one. ( it might be another five years b4 I pick it up again ) Thanks Al for your comments and support, I must also thank the V.B.H.L especially Denis for allowing me to use their material on this one. Agreed, it was a very good album ( Guardian Angel ) and a superb BT from the V.H.B.L which I am very grateful for them to be able to use. A great band of guys who deserve far more credit than they get. Well Dave, yet another flush of summer……….. it’s got to be about the last one I feel, I’m not looking forward to the darker days to come, hate it and get so depressed with the lack of light. Hi Ian, " Look Back On Love " I don't remember having heard the song up to now. The intro on the acoustic 🎸 sounds awesome and so to the Fender. You switched from electric to acoustic after the intro was it on purpose all the same the combo worked well. The playing as always top of the line and gelled with BT. I enjoyed it very much. We've been having some wet weather for the past few days at times heavy with thunder and lightening too. Have a great time this Sunday and beyond, take care and bye until Wed/Thurs. Ciao !
Morning Krishna, this instrumental was written by Brian Bennett the drummer of the Shadows for the film ‘ Terminal Choice ‘ It starts with Hank Marvin playing the acoustic guitar then moving onto his electric Stratocaster, which I have replicated. The BT I used was that of a group of French instrumentalists called ‘ The V.H.B.L ‘ who I thank very much for allowing the use of their music plus the short fifteen second video clip which also belonged to them which I also incorporated in my edit. A beautiful instrumental ( but ruined for me by the short passage at around 2 min 18 seconds………… which I can only assume was for some effect in the film as it was a horror film. ) This 2015 track appears on their ‘ Guardian Angel ‘ album. Pleased you enjoyed your listen…………. Yet another old Shadows number knocked off the list……… A definite change in the weather this last week, with plants beginning to die in basket’s and troughs, a drop in temperature and a couple of very high windy days and nights. However………. I have just seen the latest weather report and they say by Tuesday temperatures are rising again giving 27° / 28° …………. So, it’s not quite over just yet……… another reprieve. This coming midweek instrumental is still undecided, anything could happen. So, until a decision is made there will be a short interlude………….
