The “Fundamentals” book truly is the arborists bible. Every, I mean every, difficult obstacle I encountered learning to climb was covered in this book. It is simply the best.

Nice explanation of the different setups. Also being a bit heavier then your normal climber (geared up pushing 250lbs) it was nice to hear your experience on the akimbo. When climbing srt I've been switching back and forth on different climbing- and prusiklines aswell as different knots and the amount of wraps. So maybe I should give that akimbo a chance. Most climbing I do is drt with a zigzag, that one is pretty much fool proof. As a suggestion on decending to make it smoother is using the figure 8 beneath your hitch, working the hitch with one hand and the figure 8 with the other. That way you don't need an other prusikline.

Great video man, I'm new to climbing myself. I'm running the rope runner pro but I kinda have a hard time trusting it. I really like it but I always feel like it's not adjusted right or I'm doing something wrong ya no

I have a hard time with the rope runner too feels like i can’t get the right adjustment. I’ve had better luck with a rope wrench setup.

Btw…I’d STRONGLY recommend backing up you adjustable rope bridge. The standard is to run the tail through the grab and also through the saddle ring and tie a stopper knot. Most simply zip tie the grab to the harness but I use a small shackle. Look up Richard Mumfords post on adjustable bridge. Your bridge is life support and your grab is really not a rated life support device.
