Right... So I need one of those to replace the bus portion of my E350 now! 😲😅 Thats so badass guys, Awesome job on it and I cant wait to see what you do for the canvas sides! ~ Vanster_Chief
Well done! I intend to convert a Tundra into a camper and I'm keen on observing your progress. Well done y'all, that's a beautiful rig and thanks for sharing your experience.
Very cool build. Before you settled on this design. Had you considered extending your box over the cab enough to have your bed over the cab? Would have freed up even more space. Still the same height. So when the pop top comes down, all you’d have to do is remove the pillows.
We considered it extensively! We'd have to reverse our interior layout (bed at front vs back) which would have a bunch of random fallout (such as door placement). You also don't gain much since the cab is very short compared to a pickup, I wanna say it's about 1.5ft before you enter the window line and start killing aero. Ultimately we decided to put a pelican case and some other gear onto of the cab (not installed yet). I still think a cabover could be a great choice!
Owlllll The Pop Up automation is awesome
Thanks! We're super happy with how it turned out.
Wow, this came out great. Cant wait for the house warming party.
Thanks! You're going to have to bring the snacks!
Looks good. It’s really coming along
