I'm pretty sure that kid that said that the opposite of "original" is "china". Probably meant you have original products and knock of products that are made in china. So the opposite of original is china. Smart kid

4 dimes and two pennies is the better option. While the other option is more in value, it's also more in coinage you have to carry, and a ton of pennies filling up your pocket. No one truly likes carrying pennies as a practical option. You also have to count them out at the counter when buying something and you're always "short" a few pennies that you have to find in your pocket.
This is the most American question to me. Trying to maximize an insignificant amount of money in the most inconvenient way possible.

The joke with the doctor might be from Doctor Who show, they did something similar on the show.
It's not the kids that are the biggest problem as a Principal, it's the entitled parents and school board that are your biggest headaches.

The poor girl found out that her mother had a fling with the lead singer of The Guess Who during her parents' divorce and that her father was not her father.

I loved Mr. Terry's face after reading the length of the kid's "pennies"
I mean, the one with pennies is actually perfectly reasonable if it's a logic problem. It's a slightly higher summ, but it's also a big handful of pennies. Which is a pain in the butt, so most people don't wants them, and so they are harder to spend.
Unless you just want more coins (perhaps you hope that some of them will have numismatic value)

I was in elementary school in the early 90s, and I never really thought about it until you brought it up, how wasteful we were with paper back then, and we didn't even really think about it.
I'm not even a tree hugger but being unnecessarily wasteful is a terrible thing And I'm so glad that we have gotten better, not great, but better.
Trees can regrow so paper is a renewable resource and it doesn't take much trees to make tons of paper.

When the test asks you about your collection (to which you choose pennies) and includes a question about "how many inches" it is, I think it's safe to say that the joke was a setup.
20 years later I’m still pleased with my fairly detailed drawing of HMS Hood in my exercise book.
The one about Bobby went so viral, the kid's dad got interviewed. He actually thought that was what he was supposed to do, not just being clever.
These answers make me cackle like a miner that’s found gold also that Lady Gaga joke was hilarious.
Elementary school principals may not have to deal with teenage drama but they do deal with something arguably worse. Elementary school kid's parents.

Sometimes simple is best in humor. It feels obvious once you see it, but that doesn't mean it's not clever thinking. It's like the "why didn't I think of that" inventions that most people didn't think of but are very easy to understand once they're seen. Of course, with humor there are a lot of very often repeated jokes like the thinking drawing for "show your thinking" so it's clearly an easier thought process to get to those particular jokes - but these are kids who are likely not to know that. XKCD has a "Lucky Ten Thousand" comic where he discusses the probability that anyone you meet hasn't heard about something "everyone knows" yet - with birth rates and opportunities to learn about things, every day roughly 10,000 people are learning seemingly ubiquitous knowledge for the first time. I think we should cut them some slack for jokes that seem obvious.
EDIT: If you're concerned about paper contributing to deforestation, look into the company that manufacturers your paper. You can shop around for the level of sustainability you're comfortable with. I don't think any are carbon neutral yet, but a lot do varying forms of tree farming instead of cutting down old growth forests.
The funny thing about the paper industry is that it has actually increased the number of trees in the US over the past 125 years. The only issue is that the forests they create are boarding on a monoculture. Like how a grass lawn is not conductive to a healthy environment. There are more trees today but they are less diverse.

Well 3 doesn’t exist in binary so the question is clearly unrelated making 3 the best answer choice because 3 minus 10 is significantly lesser than 10 - 3
On the fourteen pennies, I would say that it is too many to be worth holding, unless they are worth something as collectibles. No one wants to carry a bunch of small change that won't even buy a drink or a candy bar today.

Counterpoint: A Macdonald's needs firm solid ground to be built upon. They may be possible to build on the satellites around gas giants, but not on the gas giants themselves. Similarly, trying to build a Macdonald's on an ice giant (only Saturn in that list is a gas giant) wouldn't work well due to the grills and ovens melting the foundation. Orbiting Macdonald's might work if the heat could be redirected well enough (contrary to pop culture misconception, the coldness of space doesn't help keep things in space cold, whereas the sun, grillers, and engine would roast the occupants without something done about the heat). The problem there is we'd definitely see such things from Earth.
That color question could've been a lot better. I had to use my RGB value picker to figure out which ones were each color. I'm partially red-green colorblind, but only moderately, and usually I can pick out those colors with some effort, but not at all in this case. Still enjoying the video so far though :)

Eh, paper is actually not that big of a cause of deforestation. Most papermills use tree farms. Soy beans, coffee beans and bovine farming is a much bigger concern
4:10 - bad question. First, Tracey asks for the remaining quarter, but that does not even make sense. It should be 'asks for a quarter of the remaining bars.' Further, which 'she' is being asked about? Rachel ends with 9 (assuming she gives a quarter of the remainder) and Tracey ends with 7 (Note, generally in US, Tracy would be the male spelling and Tracey would be the female spelling, although it is not a rigid rule. Still the question did not define this).

So you should be for legalization of hemp. The big lobby for the ban was the lumber industry as hemp paper can be produced ten times faster on the same land. Fun Fact Thomas Jefferson developed the process to make hemp paper. BTW you may not tell your students as some will try to smoke the paper.
Hemp was also historically used for cheap rope and clothing.
@@frantisekvrana3902 It wasn't that it was cheap but was strong, rot resistant and soft as cotton. It took 300 miles of hemp rope to outfit a single frigate. One of the problems the Confederate navy had a shortage of was hemp and they tried tared cotton rope that lacked equal strength plus was sticky.

The China joke was aimed towards cheap knockoff products. Like the LandWind X7, that is just a copy of a Land Rover Evoque. Land Rover sued that company into the ground and won.
Less likely the kid knows about that one. But there's a lot of knockoff toys proudly stamped "made in china". When I was a kid, we'd go to the store and get one of those packages of cheap GI Joe knockoffs to blow up on the 4th of July. Sometimes, they'd fall apart right out of the packaging.

@@xenialafleur The lumber industry is the reason Hemp is illegal. Both Hemp or bamboo can be grown much faster than any tree with a fraction of the space. Thomas Jefferson even invented the process to make hemp paper. Both can make on one acre the same amount of paper as 7 acers of woodland and be harvested every few years while trees once in a few decades (35-45 years for paper twice that for lumber)
While funny test answers are comedic America really needs better geography classes. I've encountered Americans on multiple occasions who didn't even know where Canada was or what Ontario is. It's so weird to not know your biggest trade partner and the province that sees the most activity between America and Canada.
I'm able to comment on UA-cam again. If you want to know what happened supposedly I said something that was considered hate speech. But considering how UA-cam acts everything is hate speech to UA-cam 😂😂 if free speech is hate speech then I'm damn proud. 🇺🇸
