Adorable and charming ❤
She is certainly has a natural talent!
Annette was such a sweet, beautiful and perfect woman! Good looks, stunning figure and a smile to melt your heart!
She had to know how Boys felt about her, alot of broken hearts!
She was soooo beautiful!!!!!
What an angel 😇
Annette was so adorably cute. 😊
Loved Annette.
How can you not love Annette? Last year I started watching her movies, the Mickey Mouse Club and listening to her songs and I fell in love with her. She was definitely one of a kind. She was sweet, beautiful, smart and kind to everyone. She was definitely a great role model.
Annette was a good musketeers. The roles shy played were perfect for her she actually responded like a real musketeers. Annette left us way to early!!! I will always remember her. When I watch any Disney film she emeadately comes to mine. She played her parts well. Thank Jose'
Annette the real Disney Princess
She sure was eye candy. But that look probably made scores of teenage girls to wear a padded bra.
We will always love you Annette!!
Annette had Extraordinary Cuteness.🤩🤩🤩❤❤❤
Que hermosa mujer ❤ cómo se nota que en esa época eran muy bellas las mujeres ❤
OMG! This is amazing.
Awesome Job!!!
I think even I could dance this
Wow loved that ❤️❤️👏👏👏
I love Annette and am a really big fan, but there's definitely something very funny and ironic about Annette telling Gene Pitney that he's only there to dance. The she handles all the singing while Gene just dances. It's like me playing the piano and then Liberace walks in and I tell him he's just there to dance 😂
that's how they probably scripted the show
I completely agree. It’s hilarious. I love Annette and her songs are cute, but he’s a great singer, and she wasn’t exactly a Lesley Gore (or even a Britney Spears) in terms of singing
@@TimothyRichard12345 sorry but Annette funicello was a better singer than you think you need to hear her cover version of the Beatles song all my loving she really did a good job
@@darilcaldwell31 She herself said that she had a “little voice” and a small vocal range. This is actually why the signature “Annette sound” was created. They had her sing songs twice and layered them over each other so it would sound fuller
😂😂
So remember this
Cute 😍
Lovely!
Most young men back then danced like clods. Gene had natural rhythm and looked very comfortable dancing with Annette. Annette was always so charming. What's not to like? America's authentic sweetheart. I never heard of the Glide though, even though I was a fan of Annette back then.
Pitney opened with a snippet of his current record, (I Wanna) Love My Life Away.
Un sorprendente Gene, danza, che bravo, simpatico video .bravi
Non avevo mai visto questo video. Bravo anche a ballare!!!
@Johnnyxmovie==WOW!!! I never knew this film existed!!! And once again a VERY 1960*61 sounding pop song but NOWHERE on the TOP 100 POP CHARTS as maybe was NEVER put onto a 45 single record??? And after ANNETTE & AVALONS TOP SELLING SONGS from 1958 tru 1960 there never was another CHARTTOPPER RELEASED by them both!!!! And no one either in the MUSIC BUSINESS or BUYING PUBLIC can answer WHY NO MORE POP SONG HITS by the two??? Guess FRANKIE was busy doing quite a few LAS VEGAS appearences and film roles and ANNETTE busy with WALT DISNEY type of films as all this during 1961 tru 1964 and then those BEACH PARTY films from 1963 tru 1967☆☆☆☆
I have been wanting to see Annette's "Scopitone" videos for FOREVER! Thank You Thank You THANK YOU!!!. They are really a treat. The songs came from her "Dance Annette" record and I am guessing they produced the videos instead of releasing singles from the album. It's in black & white though? I thought Disney would surely have insisted on color considering 1961 was the year "The Wonderful World of Color" premiered. Anyway....Your channel is great and this Annette presentation blew my socks off.
This isn't a Scopitone nor is it a true "music video", because the latter did not yet exist in 1961. This is a performance that was taken out of a longer TV program. I'm not aware that Annette did any actual Scopitones, which were short films shown in a specific brand of jukebox that showed movies on a screen. The machines were made in Europe so many or most of the Scopitone films are of European (particularly French) performers.
My mistake! You are right...those are not Scopitones. According to her autobiography those are called "Soundies" for a Panoram music video machine. They filmed them especially to promote her then current album "Dance Annette". The two people dancing in her "Rock and Roll Waltz" video are her actual parents. Panoram Machines were around in the 40's and 50's. I've never seen one but would love to. There are many "Soundies" that still exist. If you believe these "Dance Annette" videos are from a longer program of some kind, I would certainly love to know what that would have been. If they were televised, it would have been easy enough to clip them and use them for music videos. Very nice that you responded to my comment. I wrote that quite a long time ago now. @@hebneh
@@aaronrichards2001 I think this clip must be from a longer show because Annette starts by saying to the camera, "Thank you. And now I'd like you to meet MY guest, Gene Pitney." That certainly implies someone else had introduced her just before this, as their guest. I also think that Gene would have sung something - in a longer show - instead of just being Annette's silent dance partner. Furthermore, if this had been a separate, stand-alone little movie, it should have started with an onscreen title like the American-made Scopitones did. I do know about Soundies since - ironically, like Scopitones - the machines themselves are rare to non-existent while the films they showed have survived and can be seen abundantly on UA-cam.
Pretty baby 🥰😎👍😊
Maybe that's why I have a 100% Italian wife...
Monkeys Uncle with the Beach Boys ❤
Written by the Sherman Brothers who also wrote the songs for Mary Poppins and The Jungle Book.
Annette was short, he must be only about 5"5 himself.
Where did they find this clip ???
What a babe...
She really matured huh
Interesting coupling🥴
In 1961, touch dancing (like what they're doing) was quickly losing popularity after the Twist established the new rule of couples moving entirely separately.
As kids, we called her Annette Spoon-A-Jello.
