Thank you for this. It was so frustrating that the pdf preview was working and then one day it wasn't. It was because of the upgrade to the new Adobe Acrobat. After changing the item you mentioned, works like a charm now.

I also have facing this problem as 05/09/2024. I'm using windows 11. I have try above method but not solved. I remember that the day before I installed the WPS. So what I do is just uninstall the WPS and the problem fixed.

Well it was working, then I re-installed a program called Smart Notebook and now the Preview pane won't show pdfs. I followed all your instructions as before, but this time, even after a restart of the computer it still doesn't work.

Thank you. The "Enable PDF thumbnail previews..." in Adobe setting was changed after a Windows update.
BTW: your microphone audio sounded a little muddy when I viewed the video.
