- This is the Animals hit "It's My Life" released in October of 1965. This is a very rare alternative recording which has also been enhanced with some echo/reverb.
Enjoy friends!
Carl D'Errico my husband wrote this song with Roger Atkins...Carl passed this year
and I am happy to hear it played on your site..Didi D'Errico
Love hearing how great songs were written. He lives on through his music.
my favorite animal song!
May he rest in Peace ! Thank you
This is an absolute treat.! Have always Loved Eric Burdon and the Animals. This song Happens to be one of my all time favs and to hear a different version is a kick!! Eric has one of those distinct voices that can carry a soft slow song but when he kicks it in he soars. One of the strongest voices ever even to this day!! Long Live Eric Burdon....and The Animals!!!
First album I bought.
Nowadays Mr. Burdon leads the supergroup War with the same grip that he used to do with the Animals.
To those who say the doors were on an island and no one else had a similar sound. They never heard stuff like this
Absolutely!
Absolutely ! Love Eric Burd.. Love Animals🧡❤🤙👌🏻🫶👏🎼🎤🎧
they (the Animals) are the reason why I ve lived with my guitar/ rock music, still love it at 70
Just heard again, "When I was Young," I mean...what can I say? That's a BIG sounding record!
The Animals tore up the airwaves in the 60's, and for good reason. Great song writing, performance, and of coarse Eric Burden...
This song helpt me thrug me teens most ,me 14 to 17 years as was very hard . I love The Animals the best group from the 60s and Eric is one of a kind , he sings so it fells in heart soul and body.
Love 60s music and I was 9 when this song came out and have always loved 60s music as my sister had alot of 60s music records and then from age 11 through the 70s was my style of music ! I am 65 years old !
Remember when we used to dance to this while we got high and You laugh all the time about the colours of your hair
Don't worry; being 65 won't last forever.
Jeez, its been 40 years since I saw the original 5 Animals during their 20th anniversary tour. This has always been a fav of mine.
I saw them in Vancouver on the same tour...they played at the War Memorial Gym at UBC and their sound system knocked the power out a number of times during the show...great music...great concert...
Killer song > I play this on guitar in a band before , it's a groovy riff indeed.
What a great old song.
bettr n todays stuff by far.this has SOUL n Feeling N DEPTH
Timeless.

Great nix, all the instruments are clear and easy to hear. Love the vox type giyar time and the drums sound good. A real treat, listened to it on a loop for awhile, great mix
Yes yes I will always keep 💯this album that I have from 1966
An absolute mindblower..thank God I was born in '55...:)
ya. Me born in 57. Got to experience the best growing up. Thank the stars
Me, '56. House of the Rising Sun was a game changer.
me 54' every guitarist knows what else was born that year :)
"It's My Life" is my favorite Animals song. I'm not going to down-vote this version, but I prefer the original mix.
I always liked the song 'when I was young' when he formed Eric Burdon and the New Animals in 1967.
Saw them Philly old Spectrum in 82 the original members all reunited one last what a great show they dead Sky Pilot and Don't Bring me Down too, older Animals stuff late 60s too.
Great British invasion band. Love the Epiphone base!
@Daniel Lux I always thought those big semi-hollow body basses were cool.
Don't know if on this track the very clean bass sound on the intro is the Epiphone bass in the video?
Awesome
bass
@@ludannelasyvyus1824 Players nowadays like to hate on those big old "mudbuckers" but damn did they sound good on the old recordings, especially when played with a pick
Great song and super sound, love that strong deep Chas Chandler bass
Love John Steele's drums out front in the mix. This is better than the 45 i bought in 65
thank you so much such a great remix enhance very clean ❤
Great version, as they all are
From my part of the world and will never be 4gotten ! Some of the most grounded lads that's ever entered the music industry who hit the big time yet never changed ! Eric burden Alan price only 2 left now 😢if I'm wrong please correct me ???
Drummer still alive .
This has great bass part. Drives the song.
Epic recording, thank thank thank you from me and my Vietnam Veteran Father in heaven
As far as I'm concerned the best of the British invasion bands. Seen Eric several times over the years in small intimate venue's.
Lucky Man!
Great simplicity!!!
Who in their right mind would give this a thumb down
Great song...
Absolutely Superb 👍😎
Soy de la generación de los 80' me identifico con esta música de los 60' rock británico psicodelico, desde the beatles ,hasta the who, ten years after ,woodstock 69 , Monterrey todo lo q ha acontecido los 60's los 80's también buena época los 90's
Your welcome to my world 67"with love from Costa Rica 😎🌴🌴🌴🌴🌹🦋
I enjoy this version, and becomes audible in lyrics besides the music itself.
Che gruppo e che musica, mitici!!! ❤
it does sound cleaned, some how, it clean, leave this as it was, not clean, the animals were not clean.
That Epi. bass has a great tone....
Sound amazing !
¡GRAN CANCIÓN! ¡¡SÍ SON THE ANIMALS!!
Só me inscrevi por causa dessa música. Melhor banda de todos os tempos!!
THIS SONG IS EXPONENTIALLY TRUER TODAY IN THE 2020s than the 1960s, when the human female still had a beautiful, daring, erotic psyche, unlike today---where there "ain't no life nowhere," saith God Jimi.
:DDD Thanks!! 😍 Tinja&Markku
big smile on my face
Linda Música só Eric Burdon maravilhoso Irene Pontes
I remember those está. Wonderfull

Wow an animals song with bass,
It's a hard world to get a break in
Another version. Interesting.
TH8S ONE VERY RARELY GETS PLAYED BUT ITS AS GOOD AS ALL THE OTHER GREATS THEY DID
Your comment displays a complete lack of intelligence. And your caps lock button is broken.
Another band , or group of persons, are going to come around , sounding like this, animal sound, soon. I would like to come back and play in a band that was the animals of 2020's
Genial...!!!
This rendition has a little more teeth yet a little less polish than the original 45 from eons ago. I like this version as it has more emotion. (y)
The Best !
Muy buena cancion nada mas habia escuchado the house of the rising sun
Such times it was then! I love them girls I said in my diary! Girls everywhere. At my home town Uddevalla and at Chalmers T H Illuminati school built by scots in Gothenburg! Loved that school
The very best
nice very very nice Tx Al
This version is sort of how Burden sang it in the 2000's.
It's kinda like how Biden sang it around the same time. You know, after he was a truck driver and before he pretended to be president. Don't you remember?
@@paulr.1045 Too bad for us that people took his Presidential delusion so seriously😀.
Ooohhh man,😍🙌😎👍🤓
Pov: this was sung by Eric Burdon (a member of "The Animals") in the 2000s.
Octoberfest 93 in Appleton Wisconsin
Groovy
Alan the Price Is Right.
Don't push me.
This is not Alan Price, this is Dave Rowberry.
O melhor trabalho de Eric Victor Burdon, foi ERIC IS HERE

Love the song , however the original release was better with better bass sound !
@John Harrington,YES the bass intro is much more punchy on the original version that we all know of this track.
I liked the original rough & pops n clicks
I've always liked this song. This version is very 'clean', it is really them???
Wasn’t “the” original as Eric didn’t say “don’t push me” toward the end.
This recording sounds like some people (maybe The Animals?) are playing along with the record. The only vocals you can hear sound like they are coming from the record being played. Some groups who appeared on various old TV shows did play along with their own records, or pretended to be playing.
sounds like a live vocal
What's "rare" about this. It's included in the two CD "The Complete Animals".
Cover Band ????? Sounds a little too clean to be from 1965.

nicely covered. who is this?
Eric Burdon (recorded in the 2000s)
This version is missing the "don't push me!" by Eric
It's missing all the ad lib.

Wow-This music is really NICE and cool-I can just imagine if I would have sang or sung this song to all the teachers I HATED when I was in school-Including a staff member, who was a very CRAZY,middle aged woman!!😂🥰
outstanding
It lost it's balls the name is The Animals 😎
Wow, too, much LSD in the 60's... Man, I thought it was an advertisement for the MONKEYS...
Plenty in the 70s😉
👍❤️
this is NOT the Animals
It's Eric Burdon. Whether it is the rest of the Animals, I do not know. It could be a different recording for a reissue.
It's too clean
Eric Burdon leggenda.

Always felt this song was a lot better then "House Of The Rising Sun".
No way.
Agree with U

Button wouldnt have followed same vocal
Doors.
и смерти пауков внутри голодных птиц;
DEVERIA comentar sobre o grande clássico do The Animals It' is My Life. Simplesmente sem nexo , aliás, NADA x NADA
👏👏👏
O maior clássico do The Animals,na minha opinião, fico com We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, logicamente, jamais devemos esquecer de House Of The Rising Sun, Bring It On Home To Me, Boom Boom (John L, Hooker) e muitos outros grandes clássicos. O primeiro álbum do The Animals, com o título The Animals, tem as seguintes canções,como constam abaixo mencionados:
Story Of Bo Diddley
Bur My Body
Dimples
I've Been Around
I'm In Love Again
The Girl Can't Help It
I'm Mad Again
She Said Yeh
The Right Time

So where's the"rare and enhanced"?! Get outta here!
Type of drums?
The Beatles wish they had Eric Burdon
I mean I bet they were just fine considering they are usually regarded as the greatest band of all time.
Eric's the eggman.
Little history, the
Keyboard player
Became Jimi Hendricks
Manager"
The bass player actually, Chas Chandler.
Right! Got them mixed
God forbid!
Wrong. The bass player Chas Chandler became Jimi Hendricks mgr
keyboard player became the leader of Alan Price Set 😀
Do you regret the choices you've made in and along your life time!? I wanna know because I know you know what I'm refering too! Or will you be that stiched liped as not to speak a single word!? In the end you loose, I'd love to hear your story if your not so bitter tounged to hold it!
It's lose not loose and tongued not tounged. Regret is part of a well lived life. People who say looking back they wouldn't change a thing must have had a fairly uneventful time.
