Ninja Nerds!
In this lecture, Professor Zach Murphy will present on Hyperaldosteronism. We will discuss the pathophysiology, focusing on the overproduction of aldosterone by the adrenal glands, which can lead to conditions such as primary aldosteronism (Conn's syndrome) and its effects on sodium and potassium balance in the body. The lecture will include a discussion on the clinical manifestations, such as hypertension, muscle weakness, and abnormal heart rhythms. The digital presentation will begin with the diagnostic approach, highlighting the importance of aldosterone to renin ratio, serum electrolyte measurements, and imaging studies to identify adrenal adenomas or hyperplasia. Finally, we will review management strategies for Hyperaldosteronism, emphasizing surgical intervention for adrenal adenomas, and medical therapy with aldosterone antagonists for those not amenable to surgery. Even though our entire curriculum is in Arabic here in Syria, I really enjoy your content and the videos are very helpful to prepare for the national exam. God bless you Prof Zach ❤
Second semester RN student here, and I thank you very much for your videos! Easy to understand and informative.
I am getting my vein sampling done in a few days and am always looking for more Aldo videos so I am familiar with what the doctors are saying. It is always nice to know the detailed purpose of a procedure. Best video I have seen on the subject.
Great explanation ❤
Great lecture as always mate ❤❤❤❤
Thank you prof 💗
Great work ninja ❤
Excellent! I have Hyperaldosteronism, bi laterally . Thank you.
Thank you so much ❤
Great video, thanks Ninja Nerd!
MD's I highly recommend a "CT" scan on the adrenal gland left and right with and without contrast patients sometimes have adrenal adenomas which is a benign tumor That releases one of the three corticosteroids like aldosterone and also potassium ...a routine checkup is also recommended if they're suffering from hypertension or uncontrollable high blood pressure before checking any of these boxes Good luck and long live the free unbiased medical enlightenment!!
Thank you
Very very very good.
JUST WONDERFUL!! ENJOYING AS WELL AS LEARNING!
Great work 👏

Thanks
Thank you 🙏
I have been suffering in the dark 😊 thank goodness for you , you may have saved my life 😊
Hey Zach, one thing - the link you posted for the notes of these new videos doesn't work. And also I can't find the clinical medicine section on the website. Is it still being added? Or have I possibly missed something. I hope I hear from you guys soon!!
Thank you Prof

💯🥷💯🥷💯🥷💯🥷💯
I have/possibly had conn's syndrome. Low potassium drug resistant hypertension. Primary hyperaldosteronism Took 8 years to get diagnosed. Had the surgery last week to remove the gland and tumour. Everyone needs to get checked especially in the renin aldosterone ratio test to rule it out. Silent killer.
Thx Ninja 😔❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
