+안창우 외국인들이 제일 싫어하는것중에 하나가 자신들을 상대로 영어공부를 하려고 든다는겁니다.. 많은 외국인들이 입을 모아 얘기 하죠.. 이사람들은 나에게 뭔가 친근함으로 다가오기 보다 무작정 영어회화를 통해 연습하려 든다고 말이죠.. 잘 못하는 영어 콩글리쉬를 섞어서 말하는데 뭔소린지 잘 못알아듣겠다고도 하더라구요.. 외국인 친구 사귀는게 나쁜건 아니지만 애들 교육이다 뭐다 말씀하시는 걸로 봐선 제가말한 부분도 상당수 포함되어있다고 생각했기에 몇마디 남기고 갑니다^^

이게 바로 한국의 장점이자 단점이 아닐까 싶어요 정이라고 부르는 것, 전통적으로 한국인이라는 유대 속에 엮여있기 때문에 우리는 매우 친밀하고 가깝죠. 이런 사실이 타인에 대한 깊은 간섭에까지 미치면 단점이 되는거고, 얕은 관심과 소소한 호의로 그치면 장점이 되는거라고 생각해요.

bizzle No he was naturalised after he was 35 years of age which is the age limit for active duty. He would have been drafted in the league as a import/foreign player due to his American citizenship where the rules back then was 4 Korean players on the floor and 1 foreign player but because he was half Korean the rules got changed. Him and a bunch of other mixed Korean players (who were/are franchise players for their teams) got drafted back in 2009/10 and the KBL changed the rules so that teams could run 3 Korean players, 1 foreign player and 1 special player (mixed race Korean). It was exciting times back then and I seriously sad to see him retire after what I think was a successful but somewhat short career in Korean basketball. Though his impact was massive. Shit this response got long lol.

elder koreans love to see foreigners appreciating korean culture! my grandma adores my non-korean friends that love her home cooking. i think they're more reluctant to act friendly to foreigners who don't try to assimilate to or respect the culture, but even that's not always true
They're infinitely nicer because he speaks Korean and he has a very respectful and kind intonation. But in general Koreans are hospitable and generous.

I hope it doesn't. Many videos I've seen from people in Korea visiting markets and restaurants is that all the people are so nice, giving and it really brings out the bright side of Korea which in my opinion, I think many people miss.

That is the problem with modern society today. If you really think about it, life was much harsher back then, but that didn't stop us from developing that 'Jung' or warmth, in fact, that's a very universal human thing. We evolved to be a family in the face of extreme harshness of the world, but the modern world has a way of crushing and dehumanizing that human spirit... I can't really put it into words but, we need to stop focusing on growing the economy for the sake of growing it, and figure out what really matters.

I was talking about this with my mum just yesterday about how different countries in asia and africa really are a community and welcome anyone who visits. It contrasts greatly to the UK and USA where they are trying to kick people out and it shows why we have so many problems . The lack of community could explain why we are genuinely less happy than they are, even if those people are in a worse situation than us!

Went to Seoul the first time in 2014 and it was one of the best experiences ever. Korean people are some of the most hospitable and kind ever and this video greatly shows the warmth I experienced as well. Can't wait to go back!
