Thank you! Check out my new channel "Tail Heavy Productions" and look for our newest take on this type of flying video: "E-Flite Turbo Timber Evolution 3D & Bush Flying Demo". We'll also be releasing our new tailwheel landings video tomorrow, stay tuned!
I’m looking at either this or the valiant for my next plane. This seems like the way to go. It’s a bigger plane and comes with floats as well as runs 4s batteries ..... I think this is the one.
Valiant has the look of a classic/traditional 2 stroke glow bandit, the Maule has the serious Bush plane look .. tough call. I'd say go Maule if you want a scale bird w/surplus power & nice wide stance on wheels(would make bigger wheels easy retrofit, wouldn't get too tipsy) The Valiant can be set up for 4s too...
Yes that Maule is a sweet flyer I have one that still flies almost as good as new after I glued it back together about five times foam is kind of cheap
This is amazing! Unfortunately I just crashed my Maule and going true repairs. Want to try the 12x8 prop. Did the original eflite spinner fit with the 12x8?
what prop are you using? looks like an APC 12x8..I dont get very long flight times with my Maule, Ive even upgraded to a 60 amp esc and propdrive 1000kv motor..with an 11x7 master air...3000 4s...it screams now.
Nice flying! I just picked up a Maule this past weekend and have flown it three times...but it has abysmal flight times with the battery that was sold with it (3S 1800mah). What type of flight time do you get with a 4S 2200mah? And can you tell what prop you went with? You described that it *did have* a 12x8, but I didn't see it mentioned what you opted for instead. Thanks!
Anyone know what the material for the prop is like? Is it flexible or hard? I used to have a plane with a hard prop and I flew it 3 times. 2 of those times, the prop hit the ground the slightest bit and broke the crankshaft
Hello! Beautiful flying. I saw in the description you said you maxed out mechanical throws on servo and arms, but I looks like you have even more elevator throw than stock will allow. Did you do any mods to the elevator?
So this thing would def6be capable on stock prop then also? I know u prob couldnt hover it but that is badass! How fast would u say it is on 4s ? 60? 70?
@@mrk8212 Ah you meant "flap/elevator" mix, got it. I don't have this plane anymore but I just do it while flying. I set the radio to the flap mix screen, select which flap setting I want to mix, and then fly it with that flap set and adjust on the fly. Sorry I can't give you a specific number but most all planes are different based on CG/pilot preference on speed to fly with flaps/etc.
Hey I have another question for you man so I just picked up a 12x8 should be here soon but I wanted to know did you have to change the prop adapter also what spinner did you use
I'm not sure I have a good answer to that other than just repetition haha. You can hover anything that has the power to weight and control surfaces on the tail that are big enough. Don't need the ailerons.
In engineering, wing loading is the total weight of an aircraft divided by the area of its wing. The stalling speed of an aircraft in straight, level flight is partly determined by its wing loading. I'm studying engineering.
Aaah yes ..RC airplane community has long been the experts in low speed aerodynamics since the invention of the control-line kite, the beginning of many an engineer, test pilot, astronaut (ie. Neil Armstrong, etc.) .. "..SCREW THE KRAKEN- RELEASE THE ENGINEERS!!!" 🤣👍
Man I saw your timber video years ago, you still got it, Bro!

@@RedDevilSquadron I will sub to the new channel and check it out!
I consider myself an above average RC pilot but this guy definitely has the skills. Pretty impressive.
Amazing flying skills! One wheel landing, tunnel takeoff and landing were most impressive!
Just finishing the video and I absolutely HAVE to THANK you for showing the BLOOPER reel🤘🏼😏👍
We're all human! 💙
Wow - you managed to combine awesome piloting, creative scenarios, and fantastic camera work!! Nicely done!
That's some really good rc skill, I know because I do this stuff too, and your better than me that's for sure, insane prop hang👍
Awesome! It would be a great addition to fly this demo at the full size Maule fly-in Sept 25th😎
Fantastic flying! I love the "Mighty Maule"! Just wish I could fly half as well as you.
Excellent flying guys! You make it look easy. Love the Searey videos you have as well!
Wow great flying. I had one of these. It’s a great bird.
Thank you for mentioning the setup in the description

Nice one, I thoroughly enjoyed that. Great flying.
4:49 best landing ever
Looks like student has become master
Well, that was just insane skills man!
Impressive flying skills, cool vid
Amazing flying skills!
Wow! Very impressive flying! Beginner pilot here haha

Great flying and great video. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome maaaaan!!!! Very well done !!!
I really enjoyed this video!

INVINCIBLE
awesome video,
between the Maule and turbo timber which one do you recommend and why?
Thanks,
Carlos
Is it possible to use a 4S 3500-4000 mAh battery for scale flying

That’s some awesome flying skills there. What Prop are you using. ? Looks like a 11x7 slow Fly ACP ? I. Think that’s the gray brand.
Thanks! All details are in the video description.
Is this strange engine squeaking normal for this model? and has anyone flown on 3s? because it seems to have no power for 3s...
It has plenty of power for 3s, if you aren't trying to hover it. The noise is normal for some motors yeah.
Does anyone know how the Maule compare to Eflite's Valiant?
“Skilled pilot doing skilled pilot things!” 🤘🏼😂🤙 pilot sais “I’m not doing that again” I love it!
So this plane is rugged, takes off and lands good, thinking about ordering one. Thanks
David King I did so just right now. Problem: Can’t handle that thing like this pilot from fu n ky Hell!

Hello! Beautiful flying. I saw in the description you said you maxed out mechanical throws on servo and arms, but I looks like you have even more elevator throw than stock will allow. Did you do any mods to the elevator?
Thanks! Nope. All mechanically adjusted and then 150% on the travel.
@@RedDevilSquadron Awesome, thanks for clarifying. Just makes it that much more impressive!
Does it have a gear box? It makes some crazy noises. Sick flying though 4:38 cracked me up.
Haha nope, just puts out some high pitch sounds at certain power settings. My guess is ESC related.
Which prop are you using?
"NICE FLYIN ' TEX!!" 🤠👍
So this thing would def6be capable on stock prop then also? I know u prob couldnt hover it but that is badass! How fast would u say it is on 4s ? 60? 70?
With the 4s for sure. No idea on speed.
@@RedDevilSquadron thanks
How long of flights are you getting?
4-5 minutes unfortunately
what are your elevator mixes? I know the ones in the manual are wacked
Not sure what you mean by mixes? Do you mean travel?
@@RedDevilSquadron No, when flaps are deployed some amount of down elevator is "mixed" with the flap setting so the plane doesn't balloon

Awesome, AWESOME TO THE MAX! Love these goofy messing about videos.
Hi, are you flying this stock in this vid or is the motor/esc upgraded? How much expo do you use om your high rates? Thanks
All details on the plane are in the description :-) Thanks for watching!
@@RedDevilSquadron Got it, thanks!
You seriously make me think of this "trainer" looking plane look like an absolute riot. It it completely stock and running 4s?
Haha thanks, check out the video description for the details
The noises at 1:26 sounds like a minecraft lever or button
