There wont be Greek people to create a relaxed atmosphere but northern Europeans and Americans ....you can imagine ..loud and show off demonstrating their riches.
So beautiful Greece😍😍 Watching this I feel go on a vacation! I want to go to Greece someday❤🧡 Thank you for sharing this my new friend!! Greeting from Korea!👍👍
Hey Guys! I just love Naxos. I went there when I was 18 and have been a regular ever since. That's nearly 40 years! Agia Anna is where we normally stay but have also stayed on the other side of the Island at Apollon. I love Tinos Island and of course Paros but Naxos is a favourite. You made me laugh regarding the Naxos potatoes and cheese. Great food with a bottle of Mythos! It will be interesting if you continue to stay into November especially with the cooler weather. Take care.
Hi .. We met on Bonita in Las Terranas.. Glad you are on Naxos, we were there 3 years ago . Wish we talked about it then . Don't rent a quad for seeing the rest of the island . It is too mountainous and big for it .A side by side or small car is best..also the town in the middle of the island that has the Kitron museum distillery is a wonderful old Greek village and has a historic church a short hike away. It's a real highlight as to what is away from what most tourists see. You will really love that excursion....
Hey Christian... we didn't know we were going to Naxos then of course. We'll take your advice on the mountains / quads. We'll save those for town / plaka adventures 😀 - Trevor
Writing from Sicily here, and I have to say, at this time of the year I honestly always look for some kind of "New England fall vibes", but you guys really make me appreciate the beauty of living in the Mediterranean, especially in periods like this: if i want to get a taste of fall I can easily get to a forest in Mt Etna, if I want to go to the beach I still can, and with all the tourists gone, everything does have a dramatically different taste. Thanks for the video, these Greek islands do remind me of the Aeolian and Aegadian Islands here in Sicily...everything feels so laid-back and, at the same time, steeped in history. Keep discovering, keep it amazing! Hugs from Sicily
So appreciate that.. such a nice comment 🤗 We miss Sicily a lot and will definitely go back there at some point. Now that you said 'Fall Vibes' you have us missing it as well hehe - Anna
Do you know if those Aeolian & Aegadian islands have a Hellenic 🇬🇷 etymology? Im really curious, I know the Greeks have been there since Antiquity & during the Medieval Years. 👍

It's wonderful to see your Greece videos, especially since Greece is my favorite country in the world (have travelled to over 40 countries). I loved Naxos and there is a lot to explore but I would suggest a car to do that.. it's safe and will keep you warm as some destinations can be far away.. after all it's November
Always look forward to your new adventures! Just adds more inspiration for my future travel plan! Thank you for amazing content and real advice on what is like in each town you visit!!

I absolutely love your videos. I started watching while you were in Italy, as that's my next destination, however you are really selling me on Greece. Safe travels!!
Naxos is a nice place to hang out for a while, plus you can of course also visit nearby Paros, Amorgos, etc. I personally would have chosen Crete myself for a Fall/Winter stay...simply because it is a little bit warmer, plus Chania, Rethymno and Heraklion are more open (all year round) etc...than the Cyclades will be during the off season. However, the Cyclades actually are the driest location in all of Greece during the winter months...averaging only approx 315mm of rain per year. Also, as a person who has led a plant-based (vegan) cruelty-free lifestyle for the past 50+ years...Crete has a lot more local, (traditional) cuisine that I can eat when dining out.

Evidently, the frappé was invented through experimentation by Dimitris Vakondios, a Nescafe representative, in 1957 in Thessaloniki. An excellent drink for the summer, both cold and stimulating.

I was wondering, do you get involved with the local society of the island? Are you informed about the current political crisis in Greece (like #PredatorGate or the illegal #pushbacks)? Because you only mention superficial things like food or places. For example we pay the most expensive internet in EU, the inflation is raging, fuel for cars or heating is so expensive that many people don't have a way to heat their houses during the winter. We also currently have a housing crisis and renting a decent flat is a luxury. And all that apart from the constant tension and danger of a war with Turkey and while the government is running from one scandal to the other causing so much insecurity and despair to Greeks. Living here is not an easy task and government is trying to cover their total and multiple failure with campaigns to attract "digital nomads" and tourists and "foreign money", while the working class is getting a minimum wage of 713 euros. I'm just wondering because I have friends living in Naxos and my family is living in an even smaller cycladic island and it is kind of out of touch to watch vlogs from Greece like nothing wrong is going on.
I appreciate your perspective and local knowledge; however is it reasonable or fair to expect all travel vloggers to delve into the political situations of the places they show us? I think not. There is not one country or area on this planet where people are not experiencing the situations you describe, some heartbreakingly even worse. Trevor and Anna are citizens of the world and choose to share their travels and experiences from a cultural, historic, and, perhaps, even a tourist perspective at times. If they encourage others to visit places, I would hope no other traveller would be so naïve as to not expect there is probably another, sadder, side to every destination. If travellers or tourists are interested, and they probably should be, there are many avenues available for such research. Anna and Trevor have a specific focus on their channel and I suspect philosophy of life. This is what they share on their channel. If they focus on the wonder and beauty in our world, thank goodness there is still much of that for us all. And they contribute to the local economy; there are few if any countries and business owners who don’t welcome $ from travellers. Anna and Trevor, love the work you do here on your channel and the encouragement you give to us all to travel and explore. ❤
