Evening all! I hope you’re all having a great week and as always; let me thank you very much for stopping by to watch another episode. Given all the gruelling food duelling it took to return from Canada with a suitcase chock full of winner’s t-shirts, I thought it might be a laugh to spend some time with Mrs Beard doing what we both love best…eating… Since she is, of course, one of the most dedicated lovers of Yorkshire puddings on earth, it should come as no surprise that she’s been nagging me to do this one for a while. I put it off since it isn’t exactly the biggest thing I’ve ever seen; still there’s a spot on the wall of fame and 50% off for anyone strong of belly enough to take it down… I’ll be back this Sunday at 7pm UK time with the next. And it won’t be more than a few days before I’m crossing the seas again for another adventure…’Til then, stay insatiable! :)

There's a challenge in Oldham at the Black Ladd pub, 100oz steak plus sides, I pretty sure it's undefeated but £60 to us lot, free to the beard!!! Keep it up man!!!

Most of the challenges I resist the trap of a false sense of confidence, however, this one looks genuinely excellent and makes me think "I could do that"... Did Mrs Beard manage about 80% there?
Wow! I thought Yorkshire pudding was like a custard pudding inside a pastry shell, I didn't know there'd be meat, veggies, and gravy in it, that's kind of like the US's "pot pie" in a way, I've never had a Yorkshire pudding in my life, but that one certainly looks very good.
It's egg, flour, and milk made into a batter, then poured into a pan with searing hot fat in it, and baked in an oven. It's served with roast dinners with gravy. I have seen some people eat Yorkshire puddings with syrup and cream on them, but that's not common.
I love my yorkshires and everytime the wife asks me what i fancy for tea my stock answer is 'sausages and yorkshire pud', and this is the first beard vs food i think i could actually finish easy, so next time i'm on my way to the east coast i'll have to remember to pop in. cheers.

This is one of the insanely few challenges you've done that I think I can handle. A few I probably could have handled in my youth but certainly not any more. Just incredible the way you can pack it away and still have room for desert though.

At first, I was thinkin I'd had a stroke, seeing Mrs Beard eating that green stuff. Then thought she might actually finish a challenge. I'd say she ate at least half of it, which was way more than I thought she would. I thought she'd take a couple bites and say she was full. Great job both of ya. 👍

When im watching old videos of him and Lindsay i cant help but imagine what could have been. Its sad because they met and the bank they was both working at when they was a lot younger. When you cook Yorkshire pudding it's hollow inside, so you can add what you want . The first time I made it I threw it out because it was hollow ! No one told me that it was supposed to be that way !!😂
In the UK we have lots of _puddings_ that are savory and *not* desserts. Steak & kidney pudding. Black pudding (blood sausage) Pease pudding. Then there's puddings that are sweet, like treacle pudding, but none of them are like the chocolate or vanilla puddings in the USA.

At first, I was thinkin I'd had a stroke, seeing Mrs Beard eating that green stuff. Then thought she might actually finish a challenge. I'd say she ate at least half of it, which was way more than I thought she would. I thought she'd take a couple bites and say she was full. Great job both of ya. 👍

@@jessicacooper8647 no they wasnt married. They was engaged for about five years, Adam wasnt really keen on the idea of marriage thats why it went on for that amount of time. When im watching old videos of him and Lindsay i cant help but imagine what could have been. Its sad because they met and the bank they was both working at when they was a lot younger. I hope her and Jen are still talking because i know they was close

Great to see Mrs. Beard again! I have to agree with her though, a lot of vegetables just don't taste their best without cheese or gravy on them. Loads of gravy. Though this episode has made me realize I haven't had a Yorkshire in over a decade!

I never knew that Yorkshire pudding was meat, veg and potatoes! I really thought it was a dessert. You learn something new everyday!! Good job Mr. & Mrs. Beard!
The Yorkshire pudding is what the meat, veg and potatoes are sat in.
When you cook Yorkshire pudding it's hollow inside, so you can add what you want . The first time I made it I threw it out because it was hollow ! No one told me that it was supposed to be that way !!😂
In the UK we have lots of _puddings_ that are savory and *not* desserts.
Steak & kidney pudding.
Black pudding (blood sausage)
Pease pudding.
Then there's puddings that are sweet, like treacle pudding, but none of them are like the chocolate or vanilla puddings in the USA.
