Great build, highly imaginative. The end result is not about cost of building V.S. buying, it is about being creative and having the inner satisfaction of having created a quality device from what was available. I,too, enjoy doing things of this nature, but lack the creativity to do as much as I would like to.Terrific video, short,to the point, and detailed enough to enable any one who wishes to,to do the same. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome as always. I think the coolest thing about this is that there was no damage to the angle grinder itself. You can take it off and use it as normal. The next thing I would think about is a way to make it swap-able easily, instead of a zip tie.
Awesomeness..... . Patent and create and distribute.... ill buy one. I seriously think thats the best belt sander ive seen. Not to mention this has several ideas going in my head as to other types of sanders, planers and bark removers
lol, holy crap. I need one of these for work, this project is nothing short of amazing. I have never seen anybody make a belt sander before , haha thats way cool
you guys are awesome. I am not easily impressed. I build ever thing my self also. but you guys not only made it clean. your video is even more impressive. great job love your work. and you guys who have lots of money and buy it your missing the point. Knowledge, design, execute, and pay forward. not all of us have lollypops in our mouths
hey nice job but it´s best if you stick to one metal when welding if you really need to combine steel too alu you can glue, solder ore use rivets. i have an education in metal working and welding and combining metals. just an advise. keep it up and maybe longer vids thanks
Good build. I traded out some work for a truck load of 3M abrasives of all sorts. Just figured 2 days of work was worth a life supply of sand paper. Anyway in the lot is about 10 - 15 cases of sanding belts from like 36 to 320 grit. They're a real odd ball size that I've never seen a sander they would fit. Your video just gave me the solution as to how to use them. Also gonna look at a HarborFrieght bench top sander and possibly cutting it down to the size of these belts. Thank-you for your idea tho.
NICE WORK! I badly need some machine work if I send specs can you price me how much to make an aluminum shaft about 3 foot long? Need it to screw onto a weed wacker motor.
Pretty skookum belt sander you built there man, good job! Bit concerned that the vent holes in your grinder will get clogged up pretty quick with wood dust, but perhaps I am wrong... plus given your talents I am sure v2.0 could deal with that either way ;)
awesome idea. take patent of your design and market it or simply sell it to BOSCH,MAKITA,FESTOOL,DEWALT ect. may be they will offer you a great job in their company. it looks more powerful than original company product. good job bro. angle grinders are powerful than other tools.

With all these wicked angle grinder hacks I need about 15 now so I don't have to swap heads/attachments.
True master at your work bro

I appreciate your tools, level of skill and incredible acumen, my belt sander was $49.

We don,t know if the jury will give you, for your performance, an Oscar, Grammy, Pullistzer, Nobel or Mother Thereza price...but you will get one!
Kick arse, Kinda doubting it at the start but that's a pretty good attachment, need a start mass producing these.

Adorei! mas tenho um ambiente pequeno e fechado, poderia acrescentar um captador de pó para exaustor?
It is more efficient to buy sander pad that is attached to the angle grinder. But it is the art of make video so you ve done very good job..!
Not practical, but entertaining demonstration of interesting fabrication nonetheless. I'd be proud to use one of those!

what is the lubricant u are using when drilling stuff?I keep on seeing your pour something on the metal.
Muhteşem. Ellerine sağlık, çok güzel bir çalışma.
Great idea, but why do you use such a high amperage+feeding with the welding? It makes it al blobby.
Hard freakin core man. My favorite part is that the retaining lug is the grinder's own handle.
Very nice and simple tensioning and
I have never seen a variable speed angle grinder 👍🏽 good video keep it up 👍🏽

I badly need some machine work if I send specs can you price me how much to make an aluminum shaft about 3 foot long? Need it to screw onto a weed wacker motor.
Doest wood dust affect your angle grinder? I mean dust shoots directly into cooling vents on your grinder?
Good idea, great execution

Pretty skookum belt sander you built there man, good job! Bit concerned that the vent holes in your grinder will get clogged up pretty quick with wood dust, but perhaps I am wrong... plus given your talents I am sure v2.0 could deal with that either way ;)
